We spent a lot of time finding the right caterer, the right linens and chairs vendor, the right band, the right fancy porta-potties for our outdoor Vermont wedding. As the date approached, however, we realized just how many moving parts our wedding would involve and we panicked we would be so busy coordinating we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the day. Then one last search: wedding day coordinators. Thankfully, we quickly found Leah and Black Dog Affairs. Even though we were arranging the wedding while out of state, Leah patiently worked with us initially by phone and then in person to create a to-the-minute schedule for our wedding day. Always with a smile on her face, Leah learned what was important to us and created a behind-the-scenes choreography that allowed our day to unfold exactly as planned, without looking planned. Leah allowed us to be ourselves and to spend time with our guests rather than worrying where the BBQ smoker would go or where the tip envelopes were. In shouldering the burden of stage managing our wedding, Leah actually gave us our wedding. We will always be grateful for that gift! Our advice? Jackie and Leah at Black Dog Affairs are phenomenal. They were incredibly helpful by breaking down wedding planning into a manageable to-do list, suggesting beautiful venues (and supporting us with great questions on site visits!), and helping us find vendors within our budget. Their day of support and attention to detail went above and beyond. They truly ensured our wedding day was everything we wanted and more. Enormous amounts of gratitude to both Leah and Jackie.

Leah Stewart of Black Dog Affairs helped me so much with planning my wedding last summer, I don't know how I would have been able to have it be such a success without her help. First of all, I had no idea who we could even marry us, since I was new to Vermont and not a member of a religious organization. She immediately found us the perfect Justice of the Peace, who was not only great to work with, but even showed up in a cowgirl costume matching our theme! We were on a tight budget and Leah also saved us thousands of dollars over a standard florist by finding us a farmer who grew her own flowers from seed with a husband who built our wedding arbor himself, which is now the prize centerpiece of our backyard. For the bachelorette party, Leah showed up with some great surprise bedazzlements not only for me, but my puppy! It was a blast! I can't tell you how thankful I was to have her help when I needed it most. I would highly recommend all brides-to-be to have Black Dog Affairs help coordinate their wedding day - it is such a wonderful day, it helps so much to have someone else make sure things fall into place so you can enjoy every moment.
