I recently hired Shellie to coordinate the day of my wedding and I was completely satisfied with her services and could not have been any more pleased with how everything turned out. About 4 months before my wedding I was looking to hire a day of coordinator. I called about 10 different companies, left messages and spoke to some planners, but Shellie was unlike anyone I spoke with. First off she responded to my voice message within minutes, got me her pricing the same day, and made me feel at ease as I was feeling a little overwhelmed with all the wedding planning I had to do. Throughout the planning process Shellie was available to answer questions and provide support at all hours of the day. She is extremely responsive (answering emails and texts within 2 minutes), detail oriented, professional and reliable. Shellie was someone in the wedding planning process that I could really trust and she gave me assurance and confidence that the wedding was going to go off without a hitch… and it did! On the day of my wedding Shellie was onsite from early in the morning to the last song, setting up, helping and overseeing vendors, coordinating every detail and making sure everything was the way I wanted it to be. Shellie orchestrated the ceremony and reception which put all my nerves at ease and I was able to just enjoy my day. Shellie really went above and beyond when she offered to help out at our morning after brunch on Sunday. As you know the flowers at a wedding can be very expensive and my mom and I wanted to make sure they didn’t go to waste. We wanted to reuse and repurpose the flowers at the Sunday brunch and that’s where Shellie stepped in. She collected all the flowers on Saturday night in buckets, assorted them in vases, and then brought them to the brunch early Sunday morning and set them up on the tables. Originally my mom was going to do this, which would have been a huge pain for her, but Shellie was amazing and took care of this for us! This small gesture proves that Shellie goes beyond her clients expectations and is willing to provide support wherever needed. I am so happy that I hired Shellie to help coordinate the wedding and I don’t think I would have been able to do it without her. After reaching out to a few planners in park city, Shellie was the only one to immediately give me a call, explain the process, her fee, and what the deliverables of a planner should be. Instantly I felt a sigh of relief and knew that she would make everything run smoothly. Our contract was for a "week of" planner (we were aiming for a very minimalist wedding) and shellie went above and beyond, making herself available for questions and suggestions in the months leading up to the wedding. Cut to: week of our wedding and shellie checked in with me and my husband daily if not several times a day making sure that everything was going according to plan and to make sure that we were calm, cool, and collected. I did not stress one minute the week of our wedding even though we had 30 cancellations. Shellie took care of everything and made gametime decisions when needed. I would recommend shellie to everyone and anyone. She is a gem....and hopefully we can use her again....vows renewal soon?

A few years ago I attended a wedding that Shellie Ferrer organized. The wedding for 75 guests was beautiful and ran perfectly smooth. The bride to be is a good friend of mine. A few years after her wedding Shellie coordinated my same friend’s baby shower in Deer Valley for their beautiful baby boy. The baby shower was a lot of fun. It was a Jack and Jill shower that was perfect for men and woman. The food was delicious and really well organized. All the details were adorable, including the invitations themselves. Shellie is very easy to work with, organized, creative, and a lot of fun. I would highly recommend her for a wedding, shower, or any event you want to be a success! Anyone who has planned a big event before knows how many moving parts go into a wedding or big party. Shellie organizes all those moving parts including hiring all the professionals needed and makes sure it is a fabulous time for all!

A few months after my son and his fiancée got engaged last fall, we made the decision to hire Shellie Ferrer from Shellie Ferrer Events in Park City, Utah, where we live. She was the only wedding event planner who answered our calls immediately and her responsiveness at that first call was indicative of how she would communicate during the entire months of wedding planning. The bride and groom lived on the east coast and a Salt Lake City wedding was planned. Shellie responded immediately every time I emailed, texted or called her. She was incredible in dealing with every detail of the wedding. She knew the best photographers, videographer, DJs, caterers and was able to negotiate contracts and deal with every detail of planning a wedding and hiring vendors. I could not have done this without her. At the rehearsal the day before the wedding and on the day of the wedding at Red Butte Gardens in Salt Lake City, the wedding party was completely coordinated from the moment we walked into the venue to the moment of the last dance. Nothing went wrong and everything was perfectly timed. I was able to just walk into the venue on the wedding day and enjoy the wedding without anything but the nerves of the moment. And Shellie was able to calm everyone’s nerves down with her quiet and calm behavior. I was stunned to walk into the venue and see what Shellie had done with the brides’ and my vision of the wedding. It was just overwhelmingly beautiful. Shellie did the flowers herself and I have never seen such stunning displays. The cake was incredible and the food perfect. Shellie coordinated and planned every detail in making sure additional food was brought out at later times when the guests had worked up an appetite with dancing. We had a bride with a severe allergy to one food and Shellie made sure every aspect of the wedding food was done to make sure nothing would adversely affect the beautiful bride. Everyone agreed that the DJ was just amazing. Guests danced throughout the evening and did not want to stop with the last song. The DJ was recommended by Shellie and he made sure by his music that everyone wanted to keep dancing. The crowd was young and lively and they all said he “just rocked”. After the last dance, Shellie made arrangements for a car to pick up the couple and gave them take away food to have that night. It was simply an amazing night and perfect by anyone’s standards. I was just simply awed by Shellie’s ability and calm during the entire process. She became a friend during those long months. She is warm and caring and you could not hire a better person to plan any event you have in mind. Wedding guests all agreed it was the most beautiful wedding that they had attended. I heard that from many, many guests. Shellie is just the best person to have by your side in dealing with any big event. I would recommend her highly. I will never plan another big event without her help.

We recently had Shellie from Shellie Ferrer Events plan our wedding in Park City Utah. Shellie was hired for the full service planning that was working with us for one year. She was instrumental in helping us to create a beautiful wedding, while sticking to our budget that we discussed from the beginning. We called and spoke with several coordinators, but Shellie was the only one that offered to come meet us in person and discuss our ideas. She was excited to take on our challenge of all the details we discussed. Through the months building up to the day, Shellie was highly responsive and dedicated. Each vendor she recommended was great, and we hired on the spot. Even when we were out of the country and on strange time zones, Shellie was still replying and taking care of us. The day of was fantastic - Shellie was on site early in the morning, until everyone left after midnight. She made sure we were taken care of while getting ready delivering lunch, and made sure the venue was set up perfectly. We hired Shellie and her team to do our wedding flowers, decor, draping, hanging chandeliers, ordering farm tables, and chairs in addition to their full service wedding planning. All the guests commented throughout the evening how beautiful it was. We were able to just enjoy our wedding day. Hiring Shellie was the best decision we made for our wedding.

Shellie Ferrer is an excellent wedding planner— I recommend her highly. I first met Shellie on a planning trip to Utah in 2017. My son and soon-to-be daughter-in-law hired Shellie to smooth out the ‘bumps’ they anticipated during a wedding journey including two sets of divorced and remarried parents. How right they were in hiring Shellie to address this VERY blended family. Shellie is hard working and listens well. She has excellent taste and aesthetic, works toward the client’s best interest, and is serious about her work but doesn’t take herself too seriously. I recommend her for destination events particularly for a Deer Valley Weddings. She makes complicated simple— and what wedding isn’t complicated! Additionally, as father of the groom I worked with Shellie to arrange and execute the rehearsal dinner in historic Ogden, Utah. I had strong ideas about what I wanted and Shellie took my ideas and elevated them to a higher level. Her advice and counsel made it a more memorable evening for all. I appreciate her work.

Shellie was an amazing wedding planner and so much more, I can certainly say that we wouldn't have been able to pull off the wedding without her dedication and help. We are from North Carolina but my family is from Salt Lake and we wanted to have our wedding where I grew up. This complicated the planning process significantly because neither one of us were able to actually be at the venue (or even travel to salt lake) more than once from rental of the venue to time of the wedding. This was why we decided to hire a wedding planner and I can't describe how fortunate I was to be able to work with Shellie. She was in constant communication with us over the seven (short planning time!) months that we had with her between venue rental and date of wedding. ONce a week she'd give us a set of decisions and tasks to complete to help her with the planning. If we weren't able to make the week deadline she was never pushy and always supportive, I think the decisions were more to make us feel more involved in the process (I have no doubt that she'd be able to plan the entire thing with no input from us and it would have still been amazing). Out catering company even backed out two months before the wedding and Shellie handled everything! She contacted her favorite caterer and was able to get them to develop the same menu we had tasted and loved, all for a discount on the original caterers price! She also handled all the flowers (we gave her a pintrist of ideas we loved, she did the rest) and day of coordination throughout the entire wedding. She was kind and professional and coordinated payment with all contracted vendors. We did a lot of research before hiring Shellie and originally I was very opposed to it (my wife was the one who pushed me into it!) but looking back I can't imagine planning our wedding without her! She's worth every penny, seriously couldn't have planned it without her. We will always be grateful that we met her, hope you all feel the same way! Also, seriously HUUUUGGGEEE shoutout the to DJ she recommended/booked, like seriously don't choose your own DJ go with the guy that she uses at all her events, he's the best wedding DJ I've ever experienced and pretty much everyone agreed (little things like that are the ones that makes Shellie unique). Got him for a great discount as well! He's amazing!!

Shellie helped me plan my entire wedding weekend this past October. This included a welcome dinner, wedding ceremony and reception, and sunday brunch for 100-120 guests. What I liked most about her was her prompt communication. She was always very responsive with an answer or to let me know that she was working on finding an answer for me. She was very easy to work with and she was very knowledgeable about things that would make my wedding weekend run smoothly. She contacted and stayed in touch with all of my vendors throughout the 10 months of planning to ensure everyone was in sync. Whenever there was an issue with a vendor, she handled it right away and kept us informed the entire time. I trusted her judgement and in return my wedding planning ran smoothly and perfectly. Shellie was also on site for each event and was working with us the entire day- decorating, meeting vendors, handling payments, handling concerns of guests, and then some! She worked very hard to make sure our wedding weekend was perfect, and it really was. I am so thankful for her. I would hire Shellie for any future events without a second thought.

I had the pleasure of working with Shellie and her Team when needing help planning my wedding. Shellie and her Team exceeded my expectations, and my wedding day was absolutely perfect. Everyone who came to my wedding commented on how well run everything was, how beautiful the decorations were, and that it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. I was hesitant to work with a wedding planner at first, but am so grateful that I had the opportunity to work with Shellie. Dear Bride-to-Be or Individual throwing an awesome event, Shellie Ferrer helped me plan a wonderfully perfect wedding. We had a lot of transitions this year including moving three times, getting into medical school, taking part-time classes, both of us working full time, adopting a puppy, buying a new car (after a serious car accident), selling a condo, and buying a home. Not only did Shellie put up with our crazy schedule, but she did it with style and class. (Yes, she met me at 7 AM on Saturday in Salt Lake City to help me pick out my centerpieces…) Shellie Ferrer Events did a great job designing and creating the over all style. She had came up with a Romantic Tuscan concept that was beautiful and unique. We had a delicious family style Italian dinner that matched olive branch and candle centerpieces. My fiancé and I were very happy with our relationship with Shellie throughout planning our wedding. He and I both would highly recommend her expertise in planning an event. She put our concerns to rest and helped us manage our time and finances. My fiancé and I were together 11 years before we got married on July 9, 2016 and were engaged 2 years and some odd months. Needless to say, we had some major familial expectations (and input) so it was so nice that we could trust Shellie to navigate those situations. We had actually started to plan a wedding in California and backed out of those plans because of a planner we had there. So we were very concerned about finding someone who would be communicative, thoughtful, would be open to what we wanted with knowledge and network of great vendors. Shellie most definitely satisfies all of these requirements. Honestly, if we did not have her planning our wedding I am not sure it would've happened. Not only was it the wedding that Nick and I both wanted, but it was the wedding that our family and friends wanted for us as well. The event was a huge success and I'm still getting text messages three weeks later from guests about how much fun they had. Shellie was open minded to our needs and budget and worked with us in choosing our vendors. She was always prepared, punctual, and accommodating. Her staff was courteous and helpful. Shellie was an ACE! We had a destination wedding and I don't think we could have done it without her. She asked us questions to make sure our needs and tastes were met. She negotiated with our vendors for great prices and hounded them when they wouldn't answer the phone! We made two trips to SLC to meet vendors and plan with the venue. She made every appointment and helped translate our vision into reality. I highly recommend her for anyone getting married in SLC.

Hiring Shellie Ferrer as my wedding planner was the BEST investment decision my then-fiance and I made after we got engaged. Attempting to do it on my own at first, I quickly became very stressed with the overwhelming number of vendors and the extremely high cost of anything wedding-related. We had a guest count of 175 people, and only 5 months to plan. After interviewing several other planners, I chose Shellie because she gave me specifics up front on how she could help me, rather than a generic "We have (such and such) years of experience. We just know we could help." During the planning phase, she delivered on what she promised in the interview on how she could help: 1. She saved me thousands of dollars because she has connections with various vendors who offer her discounts on repeat business (ie. Florist; Catering; Photographer; Cake; Hair Stylist; Make Up Artist; etc.) She also has her own stock of various wedding items that she generously offered for a fraction of what venues would charge. She had in stock various decorations like swag and twinkle lights; candle centerpieces; linens for the tables and chairs; ceremony alter; etc. 2. She saved me time by not having to research any vendors or keep a to-do list, since she kept it for me. She simply sent me homework/tasks to get done by a certain date (like sending invitations; getting alterations; getting hair/make up trials; etc). I loved just having to focus on a few tasks at a time, rather than looking at the million things I knew had to get done (which Shellie took most on!). She dealt with all the vendors herself, arranging the deliveries and set-up. It was awesome. 3. SHE KEPT ME WITHIN MY BUDGET while getting everything I wanted (and more, thanks to her connections!). The big day was March 16, 2013. My only job was to show up and get married, and nothing felt better than not having to worry about anything because Shellie and her crew were taking care of EVERYTHING on site. The venue was beautifully decorated like something from a magazine. The rose bouquets she presented to my bridesmaids and I were absolutely breathtaking, as well as the gorgeous floating orchid centerpieces at each table. I was incredibly happy! My husband and I had the best time of our lives at our wedding, and our wedding pictures prove it, thanks to SHELLIE!!!!!! Loved working with her, loved how my wedding turned out, and we still keep in touch because she was such a huge part of an important event in our lives. I absolutely would not hesitate to recommend Shellie to other brides.

We hired Shellie as our "week of" planner for our winter wedding at Riverhorse in Park City and Shellie completely overdelivered. The wedding would not have been as amazing as it was without her. My wife found Shellie online months back and as we approached the date, she became more and more involved. She fought on our behalf when things were not right with venue and liased with all of our vendors making sure everything was perfect. I really cannot say enough positive things about Shellie from a logistics standpoint. Our wedding was relatively casual but her approach to everything was not; she was diligent and detail oriented. I would recommend her a thousand times over and if I was to ever do another event in Park City, I would hire her in a heartbeat.

We knew every last detail would be taken into consideration. We have used Shellie for other events so we knew this party would not have been the same without her amazing eye and special taste. There is a level of professionalism she has that goes above and beyond what we could have ever expected. The entire planning was handled seamlessly and beautifully. Our guests were blown away at how everything looked and how many little details were included. Shellie chose an adorable design for our cake and made special arrangements for the flavor requests we had. She even chose the invitations which were just so incredibly cute! The favors she ordered were perfect and will always serve as a special reminder of that beautiful day. Shellie is the best of the best. I recommend her to anyone.
