We recently used LUX for our annual Diversified Insurance Employee Benefits client seminar. We worked with Megan and she was amazing—very helpful and accommodating to us! The staff that came to setup and serve lunch was very professional, helpful, and cleaned up after everything at our venue, which was a huge relief for us as we have caterers leave the mess for us in the past. Beyond amazing service, the food was delicious! Our staff and our clients raved about everything, but loved the salsa above all saying it was the best salsa they had ever had—so if you order salsa, be sure to get extra. We will definitely be using LUX for more events—client facing and internal. I can't recommend them enough!

Plenty of food for our group of 25-30. Sandwiches for lunch were very tasty, as was gourmet Mac and cheese. My only complaint was the creamer for breakfast coffee was forgotten and I didn’t know who to call so we had to send someone out to buy some. I left a message on the executive chef’s voice mail but never heard back, at the time or to follow up.

I attended an event were LUX Catering was in charge of the food, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. During the lunch my first thought was that I have never tasted chicken that good before. Usually at catered events the chicken is a bit dry, but this chicken was moist and tender and I enjoyed every bite. The rest of the food was prepared excellently and presented expertly. Lux was amazing to work with from start to finish. We used them for our wedding at River Bottoms Ranch for 140 guests. My point person was Kelsey and every conversation with her was so easy. She helped guide me through the process and really helped me make some decisions for our wedding. The complimentary menu tasting before the event really helped me decide on what food to serve and made me feel confident that anything I picked for our menu would taste and be presented excellently. We went with a food station option and it was perfect. The food was amazing! We got so many compliments from the guests. Only area where I was slightly concerned was with tear down/event wrap up. I realize the holidays are a busy time and most are tired and overworked. Teardown did take longer than seemed it needed to but that is also a factor of working with multiple vendors. With tighter communication and pick-up schedule I would have no problems. I would recommend LUX and use them again.

I went to Lux for a taste testing for a wedding and did not pick them for the following reasons. The quality of the food was disappointig for the price compared to other caterers in the area. I requested an increase in the alcohol quote and while they didn't say no and were open to increasing, the individual at the tasting was quite condescending to this request. For the same quote our other caterer stated it should be increased for an East Coast crowd without even asking. While Lux is nice in that it's a full service spot and the consultant I was working with was really nice, ultimately the food and alcohol are the most important factors for a wedding and these were concerning factors.

The actual catering team was great. The lead was easy to talk to and wanted to help fix what he could on the day of. The rest was a flop. My coordinator became very distant after we signed our contract. Taking forever to email us back and seeming annoyed when she did. The big day finally came and she didn’t bother to show up. I had confirmed with her through email TWICE that she would be there but she never showed. Our set up was rushed due to weather issues, and the team over decor literally sat around taking selfies. They moved tables from where they were supposed to be and didn’t even set up my outdoor area. My advice, save your money and invest it in a company that will support you and show up.

LUX was great to work with. They accommodated everything we wanted, and even were able to make my mom's ice cream for our dessert. They made the process of choosing food and creating a menu easy and we didn't feel like the "nickle and dimed" us for things - as we saw in other catering businesses. It was also great to have them as "full-service" so they could provide all our rentals and food in one spot. For brides and grooms who have a venue that doesn't provide anything, I would highly recommend LUX.

Eric, the bartender, was fabulous. Overall, the whole staff that night was brilliant. They set up and broke down with a smile and the food was fabulous. The settings were perfect. Everyone appreciated the quality of food and drink...and the professionalism. I am allowed to complain: LUX wants to charge 3% for using a Credit Card. It is in their contract with CC companies to NOT do this. That CC fee is a cost of doing business, like gasoline or napkins, and should not be put on the consumer (and LUX agreed to this in the contract). So, if you live in the 21st century and don't use checks, this is something you need to know.
