Mandy was our wedding fairy god mother. She helped us dream up a wedding that was 100% perfect for us and executed it seamlessly. Her attention to detail is impeccable and her ability to translate your vision into reality is breathtaking. We purchased Month-of Coordination and Style & Design, which was easily the best money that we spent. When we first sat down with Mandy, we told her that we wanted people to have fun and we wanted the wedding to reflect us and our personal style. That’s it. She sent us our first mood board and we were immediately in love. She captured everything that we wanted despite our vague requests! Months later my husband decided that he didn’t like one of the colors that would be prominently featured in our wedding. Mandy was so accommodating. She completely changed the color scheme and worked with all of our vendors to make sure they knew about the changes. The final product was amazing. Mandy was a buffer between me and a pretty difficult vendor. She handled the situation with grace and was extremely professional. She did not let it affect her conduct with that wedding vendor at all. She kept me in the loop but did not drag me in the middle. She definitely saved me from stressing. Our wedding looked and felt amazing. My husband and I walked into the reception space for the first time and couldn’t believe how beautiful everything was. Even better than we imagined. Tiny (but significant) side note: Mandy followed us with drinks and snacks when we were taking post ceremony photos! You know how people say that there’s always one thing that goes “wrong” on your wedding day? Nothing went wrong and I truly believe that is all because Mandy is so dedicated to each of her couple’s and to their wedding day visions. She is a wedding fairy god mother.

WOW! I can't say enough great things about Mandy and Modern Whimsy Events. I found Mandy online after I had already spoken with several planners from the area. Immediately when I spoke to Mandy, I knew she was the one. She is amazing to work with all around! I literally felt like my best friend was planning my wedding. She is so easy going, thoughtful, nice, knowledgeable, and she is a yoga instructor! My now husband and I worked with Mandy from afar since we live in the DC area. She was very organized and she always had valuable information to share. Mandy also has an incredible ability to ease your stress and keep you calm throughout the wedding planning process and day of. My bridal party and I did wedding day yoga with Mandy. I can’t begin to explain how amazing this was! I felt so great the day of because of this. The rest of the day went absolutely perfect! There were so many tiny details that needed attention that day and Mandy took care of all of it. I recommend Mandy to anyone who wants a calm, as stress free as possible, and fun wedding planning process. She is the best!

Mandy and her team were a joy to work with. Mandy made the planning process exciting and creative for us, while dealing with the logistical aspects herself so that we didn't have to worry at all on our wedding day. She did an excellent job of helping us source rentals and items for our big Indian wedding, and was both a huge source of knowledge for wedding details yet open and ready to learn about all of the Indian traditions that would be a part of our big day. She is organized, thoughtful, calm, friendly, and a pleasure to be around. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a wedding planner that is professional and creative!
