I want to find a place to host the dinner for a quest from CA for a short visit to Philadelphia. R2L is perfect. We got delicious dinner and good service, plus an incredible view of the city with the sunset.

Reggie Boothe

I've been wanting to go there for about a year. The food, service and atmosphere didn't disappoint. I'll be back. ( Thanks Heather )

Olufunke Buraimoh

In love with the atmosphere, decor and overall vibe. I had after work Happy Hour with the girls and was very pleased with my experience. We sat at the bar; the bartender was awesome. Somehow my request of lobster and cheese without the mac was fulfilled (team decrease the carbs). We/I will definitely be back.

leeann Gordon

The food was delicious the view was to die for the the setting was cozy absolutely love it

Deborah Gillespie

Every bite of this meal was bliss accompanied by a gorgeous view of the city as the sun set. Perfection.

Shreya Gandhy

Fine dining with a view... Certainly a good spot to impress company but the view comes at an extra cost, which I feel is an unnecessary charge. The food and drinks are nice but something feels too pretentious to give this place the credit it deserves.

Eye Girl

Celebrated our Anniversary. We were welcomed snd wished happy anniv from the elevator downstairs upstairs, at the table and as we left. Great food, perfect portions, warm staff!

Erol Gund

Worst experience ever, I have been around the world and never been treated so poorly. My wife I were told to seat ourselves, and we seated ourselves and soon after that were told we could sit there because it was for dinner then was told to sit at another place which did not have a good view , and then when other people were seated at the same place we were at first and I asked them if they were seated there for dinner they said no they were just there for drinks. Chris Simpson should be fired as a manager, my wife and I were rudely asked to leave the establishment even though We did nothing wrong. They threatened to call the police on me and I am a Doctor with a premiere on open table account!! Boycott this place!!!! My wife and I were treated so poorly at this restaurant that we both decided never to return to Philadelphia. But no worries for us, there are many places in the world to travel to.

Robert Burke

My wife and I went here for her birthday, and the evening was amazing. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. The meal was phenomenal, prepared perfectly and timed exquisitely.

anna raffaele

Overpriced for the food but not for the biew! Definitely worth it!! The whole experience is perfect for a romantic date night! The drinks and wines are overpriced! The food is GOOD!!

Erika J Irvin

Great food, service and atmosphere!

Clayton Fioravanti

Amazing views excellent food. The service was not 5 star they were under staffed and much busier then anticipated. However, our server did a fantastic job given the circumstances. Note if you want a window table you have to prepay and there is a minimum. If you go later in the evening the table is yours. If you are an early diner you have a 2 hour limit. And the place is busy. Excellent food and beverage program. View is the best in Philly.

Marcel Fromhage

Nice restaurant. Upscale but not that one feels uncomfortable. The food was great and a fair value. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate any allergen restrictions we had and ecen proposed some alterations to the desserts so that all of us could have some. The view out of the 37th floor is spectacular. But I only give 4 stars because it was way too dark in restaurant and the furniture design is also very dark and heavy which I found unpleasant.

Joe Dunn

Our whole experience was exceptional! The staff are great from the coat check girl to everyone who waited on us. We were treated royally. The food was perfect in every way from taste to timing of courses.

numbers cleveland

One of my all time favorite place to spent quality time. Variety of delicious seafood. Location of this place is outstanding. Excellent service in this area. Must recommend!!

Harkirat Sareen

Great atmosphere, lovely view of Philly and phenomenal service! One of the very few places in Philly that combine all these 3 aspects and do it well.

Mike M

Really enjoyed this place. It is expensive but worth. We had an amazing view of the city. Service was beyond excellent our waiter was amazing. I will most definitely come back to this place again.

KENNY ROY

Great experience, everything was perfect, thanks.

Erin Hunt

The stag were attentive, the food was delicious and the view was amazing.

Samantha Winterburn

Really cool place to grab drinks at happy hour (4:30 - 6:30, M-F). Lots of windows that overlook the west side of the city. The entrance is in the 2 Liberty Place lobby on 16th street, then take the elevator up to the 37th floor. Staff was super friendly.

Lee Ferry

Nice pace. Great for a birthday or anniversary celebration. A bit touristy feel. The views are amazing. Food is good. Our waitress was excellent.

Joseph Camilleri

Great luxury dining experience. The food may be even better than the view, which is top notch. It is not a cheap place, but well worth the price if you can afford it.

Shawn M.

The service was excellent, but the food wasn't that good. I was going to spend $54 on a lobster and it was cold. Me and my wife was celebrating our 1 year anniversary and they asked me was I celebrating something when I made the reservations, but never acknowledged it when we got there. We sent our lobster back twice, and it came back luke warm and rubbery. The manager was great, he did take care of us, but we would have preferred to have hot food after traveling.

Sheila Santoro

What a wonderful meal from start to finish. Impeccable service, delicious meal and even with the rain we enjoyed the limited view from above the city. We were treated to a relaxing meal and our party of eight each loved their excellent meal. It was a memorable night! We will be back hopefully on a clearer evening!! Kudos to chef and staff!!

Madeleine Farraj

My husband and I love R2L! They are so accommodating and even fulfil special requests! Caroline was our server last night and wow is she incredible. She has truly mastered her craft! The 2 1/2 pound lobster is a hidden gem of Philadelphia! Another being the 28 oz ribeye. If you go there, you will not be disappointed. The views are mesmerizing and the staff so warm and welcoming! We visit frequently for a reason!! Caroline will forever be my favorite!<3 Thank you R2L for having the friendliest staff in Philly!!

Jazz R

Enjoyed this place so much me and my wife loved the friendliness of the staff and the food was authenticity delicious. And the view from our window seats was amazing, you can see the whole city. Thanks R2L for making our 13th anniversary so memorable.

Antonio White

The VIEW is UNBELIEVABLE. Philadelphia is such a beautiful city at night. The atmosphere was great. It was a bit noisy during dinner due to the people sitting in the lounge area, but once you dive into their delicious food, you block out all the noise. Their dark chocolate desert was fantastic. I had an Old Cuban (Bacardi rum, champagne, vanilla syrup) and it was delicious. Our waiter was fantastic as well. My wife and I had a great time and will be back.

Nick Mendillo

This has to be the best happy hour i've been to in a long time. The food was great, reasonably priced, and the drinks were good too. We had the cheesesteak egg rolls, cheese board, and fingerling potatoes. For drinks we an old fashioned, pineapple daiquiri, and tom collins. I would absolutely recommend it, and we'll definitely be back.

Julie Thach

Love coming to R2L! My BF and i go Every restaurant week to try new things but I’m only giving 4 stars because this was the first time i genuinely didn’t like my food. I had The pork loin and it was beautiful but a bit tasteless. I ate More of my bfs beef and meatloaf then my own meal. The Mac and cheese was better than my plate but overall i do Enjoy coming and will be back.

Staci Cunliffe

Vegetarian woes. Had the worst experience ever. Out for a romantic meal and they had nothing for me except a mushroom dish. Was game to ask chef for a selection of sides. Served fried brussel sprouts with asparagus tips. Ugh. No starch, protein. Management apologized. Romantic dinner out the window.

Alessandro Moses

I had a great time at R2L for dinner. He booked ahead for a south facing window table on 3/3/19 so we could get a gorgeous sun set dinner view. Unfortunately, that day it sleeted, cloud coverage and fog. I still enjoyed the food, the service was top notch, and the atmosphere was very romantic. Everyone from downstairs to hostess to server gave us a smile and was very polite and helpful.

Thomas Klimek

First time here, and it was incredible. I was treated very nicely, food came out promptly, and even though it was cloudy there was still an incredible view.

brownsugar Brown

Went on my birthday but didnt know u had 2 make reservations. But the bar was great also had cozy tables where u still could order food gotta go back the parking was in the garage a little pricey also each item was separate for paying

Gabriel Brookins

the bar is set up for perfect views. service was very attentive. drinks reasonably priced for this type of venue. builing is beautiful. they offer happy hour.

William Tuman

You never know what you're going to get when you go to a restaurant with such a stunning location. . . sometimes they get complacent and phone in the food. Not R2L. The view was spectacular of course, but the food was prepared, plated, and served with exquisite care. There's an open kitchen and I watched the chef for several minutes and was amazed with the precision and obvious expertise as he made sure everything was perfect before sending dishes out. I can't ever remember having better veal than what I was served at R2L, and my wife and I loved the entire experience.

Robert Prout

We had an excellent time. Jamir is a Rock Star, extremely attentive and super nice. The view was nothing short of amazing. The cuisine is to die for. I would recommend to everyone I know. We will be back. Thank you for making our Anniversary that much more special.

ron baines

Nice view..staff average but chefs r the best

Randy Rochelle

Let me start off by saying the view is absolutely amazing. We had a window seat and we were blown away the entire time. The clam chowder was delicious as was my filet mignon. The food I feel needs some seasoning but that’s not too big of a deal. I should also mention they surprised us with two dessert plates that said happy anniversary on them which was very thoughtful and my girlfriend loved that. The bad parts were that I asked three different waiters/waitresses for more bread and we never received it and they’re SO SLOW. We actually waited about 45 minutes for the waiter to bring the check because he never came back to the table to check on us and never refilled our drinks either. We then had to wait another 15 minutes after we got our check so the waiter could come back and take our card. There was also a large party of about 15 people seated right behind us and they were very loud. They were all screaming and I couldn’t even hear my girlfriend who was right next to me. Overall, it was a good night but we probably wont come back for those couple of reasons.

Erle Deira

It was our first time dining at R2L and we left having a unique experience. The friendly welcome by the hostesses on the ground floor and 37th floor, the awesome ambience and a perfect service from Mark our waiter and other staff, made the celebration of my wife’s birthday one she’ll never forget. The delicious Nachos (appetizer), the Beef Duo - perfectly cooked to order, (both of us ended up ordering the same main course) and sharing the Panna Cotta yogurt fruit desert, were just the best choices for us. All very tasty and enjoyable to the max. The view is awesome, even if you do not have a table by the window, and elevates the dining experience even more. As we rode the elevator down, it was a unanimous conclusion for us: ”we have to come back!!” My wife was super pleased and her birthday celebration 2019! 5 stars!!!

Wessley Buffalo

Where do I begin with this place. The only nice seats are by the windows, any other place, it's crowded as foot traffic is constant. The food is WAAAYYYY over priced. I had a 2.5lb lobster for which they charged me $50 only for it to be overcooked and not just a bit overcooked, the shell was burnt! My wife had the ribeye, and the only seasoning on that was pepper. To top it all off, sides are extra. Honestly the best part was the service, as the wait staff are extremely attentive and polite.

Niketa Tull

It was a lovely experience.. Food was great atmosphere was comfy.. I will go again.

Heather Robertson

This place was good. amazing food. Staff were nice and professional.

Daniel Clark

The views at R2L are unbelievable and are sure to give you a memorable experience while dinning. The tables are set up in a very nice way, so that if you don't have a window seat, you will still have a decent view of the city. Despite not being given a cocktail menu (maybe it’s okay I look 16) and average service, I’d give R2L five stars. The food was tasty despite the menu being a bit difficult to order from since it’s sorta a mix of flavors. We started off with lobster Mac (a must try) that was filled to the brim with large lobster chunks. The pasta wasn’t quite cooked to perfection, but the cheeses and lobster made up for it. The drinks were seasonal, and there is an extensive wine list but no sommelier. I had a cold seafood platter for dinner which filled me completely. The seafood was very fresh and the side of potatoes really tied my tongue! To finish, we had ice cream with graham crackers that was well worth the wait. I’d like to think the service was off that night, and I am happily returning for a window seat. Additionally, the layout is one of the best in the city. It is so rare to find such amicable seating and large booths these days, but it truly is a game changer!

I went to R2L for restaurant week, I made reservations for 5:30pm and some of my party was late arriving. The host acted as if they could not seat my guest with the group. They had to speak to a manger to get approval, this made me upset. My food was good seasoned well. However, we order our dessert to go, and again the host refused to give us separate bags. She clearly stated “Oh, we don’t do that here”

Michael Seibert

Service and food are outstanding.

Leslie Calimer

Pricey for the steak. Not the best I've had. Shrimp and scallop dish was awesome. Lobster Mac and Cheese was good, only enough to share with two people. Nice place, expensive.

Taylor Doerr

Food was excellent! We had a great view from our seats and the atmosphere was amazing it felt like we were all alone. What made the experience even better was our server Tim, he gave us great suggestions and details on food /drink choices. He was ever polite and helpful.

George Gordienko

Food was excellent - excellent service - excellent view! We had the sunset!

John Williams

We enjoyed the great evening at R2L and watching Shen Yun!!!

Greg Dembs

Always a nice experience to view the Philly skyline while dining. Food is well prepared, and service is very good, but I really don't need a different person coming to our table for every course, etc. The menu is probably good for most people , but I struggle to find plates to get excited over.

Christina MDO

Food was decent but very expensive. Definitely worth the trip just to see the spectacular view. You essentially pay for the view.

geoffrey knudson

The views are fabulous, the wait staff is extremely attentive to your needs, and the food was outstanding. Pricing is very good for the city.

Mariama M

Had a warm welcome right as my husband, brother in law and I walked in. The setting was absolutely breathtaking. The food was really good for the price and the service was excellent. Would definitely go there again!!!!!

Carrie Goldhill

We had a terrible dinner. Unprofessional wait staff, waiter told us that the sweetbreads on the menu were from the pancreas of a FISH! Plastic wrapping found in our food. And the seating upholstery tacky! Will never go back despite the amazing views

Fred Eliassaint

The server was racist and very mean to us her name was “Carolina” she gave us our bill then she asked me if I need change I told her yes then she came back with another bill and she said that was a mistake she overcharged us $52 and some change extra I was like why she gave us a reason it was because we seat by the window! Y’all need better server

Lakisha Cobb

Good food but tge prices are extremely high $$$$$

Sabrina Chong

Service was not Great in the first 15 minutes, then it drastically changed for the better. Food was Excellent along with the spectacular View. We must go again before we move to California

Jeff Paris

Great food and drinks, and impeccable, sincere service. And of course AWESOME views. But what really made our 22nd wedding anniversary dinner so fantastic was our server Caroline. She had a wonderful balance of professional and personable, and a very helpful knowledge of the menu. Thanks to all the staff as well. (I don't give 5 stars very readily).

Jeff Jones

This was the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. Forgetting it’s the most money I’ve ever spent on a dinner. Apparently there is a dress code but there were people in shorts and basketball shorts which I would definitely rather have worn. The waiter was a nice guy. Both my wife and I Ordered the New England Clam Chowder. The waiter had the nerve to ask if that was the best clam chowder I’ve ever ate. I almost spit my food out laughing. The clam chowder has a Delaware river look and taste. It was nasty. Then we order the hot and Jolles appetizers. The hot was good, I had no complaints. Then there was one shrimp from the chilled appetizer left and waiter said “take one for team and eat that last one”. Oh, I took one for the team. Biting into a raw shrimp was top 2 most unpleasant bites I’ve ever had. The steak was super tender but had little flavor to it. I still can’t believe how much money I spent to look out a window and the best thing I’ve ate was the bread they serve you with no butter. Whatever you do, if you plan to go there for your anniversary, change your reservation to any other restaurant and save yourself 500$.

Amy Morales

Awesome place. Food was so delicious. All staff member was professional and friendly.

Samuel Levin

Came here for restaurant week. I had the roasted, salmon app, the fillet, and the cookies and cream dessert. The salmon was very good, but the fillet was incredible! My girlfriend had the duck, which was surprisingly gamey, a slight disappointment since we are both huge fans of duck, but it was still very good. Our server was very friendly and attentive, and everything came out quickly. A little pricey normally so not sure how often we'll be back, but definitely will be here again next restaurant week!

Tom Bowman

Greek restaurant on the thirty something floor. Nice menu shortcut still diverse and the food was all prepared exactly as ordered although they did mix up a couple of fillets one guy wanted medium one guy wanted medium rare and they're serving the opposite we should think before we order stuff like that I guess but very nice it's a little more expensive than your certain other restaurants but a good value nice few good food

Katelyn Couch

Food was wonderful, view was spectacular, but we felt VERY rushed. From the moment you walked in and we’re seated the wait staff brought drinks then 3 mins later wanted our appetizer order and our main dish order and they came out immediately, which is okay but we really wanted to enjoy our time out together. After we ate they immediately cleaned up and took our dessert order. All in all we were only there for maybe an hour and 15. For the price of the food I would have really liked to stay longer and enjoy the restaurant.

Charles Walker

This place is amazing! The view was amazing and the food served seemed to melt in your mouth. If you wish to plan something special for someone you care for this is the place to do it. I called ahead and told them that I wished to propose to my girlfriend of almost 4 years and they where more than happy to help! Was even nice enough to use my phone to capture the moment forever!! So yes, I will dine with R2L again and yes I will recommend this place to anyone who wants a fantastic experience.

Shayla Vinston

Beautiful view of the city and a perfect location for a birthday dinner. Amazing service and the food was seasoned excellently.

Craig Lewis

The ambiance of the restaurant was wonderful...perfect lighting and beautiful scenic views. The one thing that was a little concerning was the inconsistency of how you honor your guests. I saw one guest who were celebrating a marriage 2 weeks ago get a glass of champagne but our table and the next were celebrating current anniversaries and there was no real mention of it after we brought it up in the beginning. When we ordered dessert we had to ask can we get Happy Anniversary scribed on the plate. You are considered a 5 star restaurant not just for the food but supposedly your service as well. Please work on that. Thank you for hosting us.

Minja Bae

This is probably our favorite fancy restaurant with a view in Philly. Everyone from the person downstairs to guide you to the elevator, to the hostess, to our server Mark. Were all very nice and helpful. The food is always delicious and we love that they are always changing it up. We do only go for special occasions so how often they change it up I'm not too sure. Kudos for the complimentary champagne they gave us for our 5 year anniversary!

John Soper

Great food and a wonderful staff. The views are amazing.

Angel Zayas

Absolutely amazing service! Amazing food! Amazing view! Amazing drinks! I truly believe my first experience here was awesome... the steak was cooked just how i wanted. My fiance's pork chop was cooked to perfection. We dont really do much desert but we did here and "WOW". We were not rushed one bit. I will definitely be back

Karen

Had a great time dinner was awesome great atmosphere thank you our waitress( Caroline) for the tour and thank you to our guests ❤ Thank you Chris (manager) for acknowledgement of our presence. Will come back. The Robinsons 5/11/19 Anniversary dinner party.

Kenneth Cummings Sr.

Very nice atmosphere; fatalistic views and great service. The down side is when reserve an window table package you must spend the entire amount or forfeit the balance on the deposit. They should change that policy. Give the option to add to the staff or return the balance. Thank you for a great experience!

Freedman Morse

I don't know where to begin. I read reviews that were not flattering but decided to see for myself. The ambience was top notch, and our service was 5 Star. Everyone was attentive and we did not want for anything. My brother was pleased with his tuna appetizer and main course of shrimp and scallops. I enjoyed both vegan dishes on the menu which appeared to be small in size but surprisingly filling. I would reccomend R2L not only for the beautiful views and its eye catching decor, but the drinks were top notch as well. We splurged on a chocolate tart, cappuccino and espresso to finish up the night as we watched the sunset. This restaurant should be on everyone's bucket list.

Erica Gedling

I wish there were more stars to give. 5 stars is an understatement. I took my boy friend here for his bday last night. We reserved a window seat. Best decision the view is amazing. The food from the bread and butter down to the dessert was beyond perfect. I would recommend R2L to anyone who wants great customer service, amazing scenery, and fabulous food and drinks. 5 stars alone to the cook. Great job.

Rona Holmes

The food was amazing. The view and staff was spectacular.

P L

Another level food is amazing, drinks are amazing, the view speaks for itself. My go to for big celebrations or when we feel like going over the top.

Ashley Fox

5 star service, drinks and food. Only complaint is paying $17 for a standard cocktail, but I guess that’s what you get when you dine at a 5 star restaurant? The food, on the other hand, was just as costly, but exquisite and worth every penny. Thank you for another great dining experience.

Mike Kelly

Very good food. But the views are off the hook! High recommended.

Juliet Thornton

Great service, very attentive beautiful atmosphere. Adore the view!! Not impressed at all with the food. Went for Mother’s Day brunch today and for a bill of $300 for two people, it was... meh. Minimal selection at the buffet, mainly shellfish, which I don’t eat, and the pastries were bland. For the price, the food should be fantastic and memorable. It was just okay. Drinks were nice though.

Lisa Thomas

Visited on Feb 2, 2019. Everything was excellent except the sodium. My sister returned her food and could not eat all my mac & cheese. Part of my brother in laws steak was also high sodium. You are paying for the views and service. Waiter was just excellent.

josh patkin

Lobster Mac and cheese is amazing! They also have a special going on for a $35 3 course meal if your on a budget and want to experience the place. Highly recommend !

Jimmy Tan

The staff were interactive and knowledgeable of the dishes. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was very welcoming and enjoyable. 10/10 would rate higher if I could! Will be making a return to this restaurant for sure.

pauline washington

We were celebrating our 19 anniversary and we really enjoyed the food and service

Ryan Aquilino

Had a amazing dinner and the service was top notch can’t wait to go back.

Cynthia Therrien

This restaurant met every need of ours from coming out of the elevator to the exceptional service from Mark who served us throughout the night. My friend and I wanted to do a girls date and we chose here. We had the 28 day old steak and I can honestly say that this is one of the best meals i have ever had. I joked around with my friend saying If i can choose anything for my last meal it would be this steak and the lobster Mac and cheese. The only down side was not being able to sit next to the window to see the view, however the food and drinks made up for that. Thank you so much for the wonderful service and amazing food, we will defiantly come back to visit soon

Kelly Cionci

We had a spectacular night last weekend celebrating my daughter's 16th birthday. R2L was very accommodating in allowing me to bring an outside birthday cake for our party of 10. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable with spectacular views of the city. All of our food selections were excellent, even the teens enjoyed the nontraditional choices. Our server, Caroline, and other waitstaff were outstanding and ensured our daughter, family and her friends had a special and memorable birthday evening.

Lorena E

My experience was phenomenal... the staff makes such a difference especially when I was out of town. The waiter knew how to pick out the best appetizers, main course, and desserts. The view is also breath taking.. too bad I couldn’t get a window seat lol. Next time. Book on time people

Chanel Williams

First time dining at this restaurant, & I promise it will not be my last time! This dining experience was an experience to remember! Outstanding service, wonderful hosts/hostesses, AMAZING food, & an relaxing view!!!! PHENOMENAL!!!! You all really helped make my significant others birthday a night to remember. Him & I will Be dining again soon!

Qualise Jones

Out girls night out was amazing but it had nothing to do with the food or drinks at this place. We had a 7:30pm reservation and did not receive food until after 9. The drinks were sent back several times because they didnt have the proper ingredients on the menu. The food was overcooked or under cooked. The alarm sounded and went off for a full hour at which point we yelled to one another to hear each other speak. We will not be going back.

dj big biz

Had a great night everybody was so professional look forward to coming back very soon.

Victor Ringgold

Booked a reservation a week before and requested for windows seats. Got there and they sat me and my sister that was visiting from Germany at a small table in between a crowd where we was uncomfortable! I ask the staff can they relocate me and they said they can’t. Been there for 1 hour and there was still 3 window seats open since when I first walk in! Customer service suck! Won’t be going back...

Jake Conway

Came here for my anniversary with my girlfriend, I requested a window seat for a view (which is essentially the only point of eating at a restaurant like this) and we got sat in the middle of the restaurant, so we might as well just went somewhere on the ground...the food was decent, nothing special. The server seemed like she didnt wanna be there, didnt really have any knowledge of the menu and did not really care to interact with us, the dessert was the best part but our minds were pretty much made by then. Only go if youre going to get a window seat with a view, otherwise this is just an overpriced outback steakhouse thats really high up.

Judi Kennedy

We chose this restaurant because of the views of the city and was not disappointed. Arriving early, we were invited to take part in their Happy Hour and took a seat along the windows. We ordered the Truffled Flat Bread and Stuffed Potato Skins while we waited for our table to become available. Both dishes were extremely tasty. Maria came for us once our table was ready. She was inviting, knowledgeable, and helpful when ordering our dinner. I ordered the Scottish Salmon, and my husband the Tenderloin. During dinner I happened to notice an older patron choking and quickly alerted Maria. While my husband ran to assist, Maria notified R2L Personnel. Thankfully the woman was able to unlodge the candy on her own, and R2L staff stayed with her and made sure she was ok. The 5 stars was given not only for the quality of the food, but also for the caring and attentive staff. We will certainly be back.

Lyn

Sexy spot. Great date night or even just for a drink with your friend at the bar. Bartenders make excellent drinks. Decent drink prices.

Giselle Duran

Ambiance: Honestly I was expecting this place to be a little more fancier than it was. Well I can’t blame it on the restaurant, more so the ppl that were there. Ppl were dressed very casually, flip flops and shorts; compared to the heels and dress and button up and blazer combo my girlfriend and I were in. We sat in the lounge area which was perfect for the view of the city. Casual but chic. Food: the Roast Pork Sandwich bites were probably the best thing that we ate. They were so delicious and melted in your mouth. The French “fries/potatoes” were way too seasoned. The curry was a bit overwhelming and pretty salty. The Mini Cheesesteak Roll was underwhelming, definitely could use something more. The Stuffed/Loaded Potato Skins were pretty interesting and weren’t half bad. The presentation of everything was cool and definitely wasn’t expected. Overall I liked my visit here and would like to return for their Happy Hour.

Tracie Rivers

It's a beautiful restaurant overlooking Philly. Everyone was nice if you go get the salmon, amazing

Shawn Thomas

Views are spectacular. Great service. Be ready to spend! Try the sangria!

N Monroe

Fine dining at its best!!! Its a little pricey but i believe when you work hard you should reward yourself. Lobster mac n cheese was very tasty i recommend it. And the view is breathtaking

Andrew Gonzalez

Truly a beautiful view with an equally matching restaurant. The food was masterfully crafted and truly a delight to eat. The front of house was diligently attentive to my needs and kept an open eye for opportunities to wow. My complements to the cooks and servers for providing a truly memorable experience.

Ravina Dandekar

The staff here is top class! Great hospitality, amazing food, great service, beautiful ambience and an UNBELIEVABLE view! The manager (Mike, I think that’s what his name was, sorry! ) accommodated us at the last minute and gave us the best table possible at a very short notice!

Rhonda Branham

ALWAYS a pleasure! Great food, Great atmosphere, Great service, Great staff! Amazing view of the city. R2L you guys never cease to amaze me

Charles Vortreflich

Besides the spectacular view of Center City (window seats are $100 pp! ), the restaurant was a bit of a disappointment. While the service was attentive, the food was, at best, mediocre. The ribeye I ordered to be cooked medium was delivered extremely rare and had to be returned. At a restaurant that charges $52 for this dish without sides, this is blatantly subpar. Our other dish, scallops and shrimp, was adequate, nothing more. The desserts, visually exciting, were virtually tasteless. Mine, the warm vanilla cake, was extremely over heated. The regular coffee was very good, but the decaf had a distinct taste of minerals in the water, indicating the pot needed to be descaled. The room was tastefully decorated but extremely noisy. I would not return there nor recommended it.

Cory Karr

I cannot believe my experience at R2L. I walked in with a ton dead bugs outside. I can understand this is out of the restaurant and buildings control. But when I walked through the rotating doors a large insect flew straight into my eye. I let it go because I understand this is probably still most likely out of the restaurants control. We were greeted nicely and directed where to go upstairs. When we got there at 8 for my reservation time, the hostess said a table was not yet ready and we could take a seat at the bar. It was not a big deal at first, but we were there for almost 15 minutes, when a fire alarm started blaring. The bartenders continued on with their jobs, which I found somewhat professional, but when I asked what the problem was, they nonchalantly said “I don’t know” as fire alarms blasted in our ears. I asked the hostess if we could leave and I got an aggressive answer of “The elevator is not in service but we could take the stairs but then fire alarm will me done before we got down, and it should be done in 10 or less minutes”. I would have walked down if my fiancée was not in heels. We waited for another 45 minutes at the bar with lights flashing with no easy access to get out. We sat at the bar and got drinks as alarms kept ringing and felt trapped. Over an hour later of our reservation time, we were seated with no mention of the events that just took place. The appetizers were good but my steak I ordered medium rare was grey throughout most of it. My fiancée got the “restaurant week” deal that included a sorbet with unruled fruit. I really can’t believe that this nice of an establishment would be so passive to alarms blaring for almost an hour without working elevators to their customers. My ears are still ringing.

My experience there was just amazing! They were very accommodating to us being a little late and offered such great service. We got to sit by the window even tho we weren’t able to order ahead of time. The food was great and was the best view ever! Definitely was an experience!

Ivan Fontanez

The service was amazing. The food is great I ordered a ribeye and it was seasoned to perfection.

The staff at R2L are so accommodating and professional. We decided to have our post wedding dinner with our family and friends at this restaurant after a few weeks of searching. We were most impressed by the views over looking the beautiful city of Philadelphia and their menu.

Went here for my friend's birthday dinner. Food was great and the view was awesome. Would definitely come back! All the employees were extremely hospitable/great service all around.

Food was incredible. Highly recommend red fish and scallops and brussel sprouts.

I will give the evening with my wife a “*****”. We entered R2L a little early and immediately we were seated! The view was amazing from our window seat, JoAnne loved the view - Sunset was amazing! Service was very prompt and friendly - as well knowledge about the food and the view! Food from appetizer to dessert was prepare to perfection! Great evening with JoAnne Happy 60th Birthday!

I ate 37 oysters. A lobster. Lobster macaroni. That is a conservative recounting of the most Devine dance of gluttony ever. Delicious. Good talent in expensive fabric too.

Last night I took my wife to R2L for a surprise date night. First the staff was excellent from the host station, to the server, to the cleaning crew. Not to mention the magic that happens in the kitchen. I ordered the 22oz steak and my wife the shrimp and scallops. The steak was cooked to perfection with excellent flavor. My wife truly enjoyed her seafood as she stated it too was cooked perfectly. The views are spectacular and we enjoyed watching the sunset as we dined on our first course. I admit, to dine here you can expect to pay upwards of $150 or more easily, but I assure you, it was well worth it. Especially if you are celebrating a special occasion.

Celebrating my wife’s birthday and R2L made it even more special with a window table. Great romantic atmosphere, great food, great service and great company! We had a great time!!

Adam Clark

Stunning views of the city on the 37th floor. We went for happy hour, lots of seating in the bar area. Very comfortable. $4 beer for happy hour and a great assortment of appies. The Little mini cheesesteaks were amazing and you can't find a better $6 cheese plate! Well not in Canada anyway. Very happy with the experience here

Tasha McCoy

R2L was amazing!! The food, the ambiance, and the service was outstanding. We will definitely dine there again. The views from the 37th floor are breathtaking!!! The oysters, lobster mac and cheese and the 2 1/2 pound lobster dinner entree were all Magnificent!!!

Mohammad Q

The food is excellent and the view of the city is amazing. It is crowded though, and hard to get a reservation ahead of time. Still, I would highly recommend R2L if you have the time and the money to go check it out. Located right in the heart of Center City. And they have good customer service as well

AC

Amazing!!!! The bill was about $600 for the four of us but when the food is this tasty who cares

Brad Quamina

I had the delicious cocktail shrimp. Well seasoned and the cocktail sauce was excellent.

CD Burnguy

Amazing views, fantastic service for a loud and rowdy group of work mates. Food was great, good wines, and boozy cocktails.

Oliver Schaefer

You will find delicious food with the combination of a stunning view. It has the charm of a private club with its own elevator entrance. Notice, that sizes are small, but that’s the prize you are paying for the view.

Justin Stamile

Amazing atmosphere and views. Perfect date night for either a random night or a special occasion. I’d recommend Ubering or you’ll have to find a parking garage. But totally worth everything! Service and food were amazing! I’ll definitely be back soon!

Tim Czerviski

Food and staff was wonderful. Exceptional place to celibate our anniversary! Thank you all!

Corazon Tudtud

Great food, ambience and the spectacular view of the city.

Tom Gilmour

Service was great, Tim was our waiter and was a pleasure. I had vegetable risotto, redfish, cookies and cream as part of my three-course meal during restaurant week. Everything was very well done! My girlfriend had a great meal as well. I highly recommend or R2L... which means Ray’s at Liberty 2

Kevin Maldonado

Beautiful restaurant and quality food. Pricey of course but the elegant atmosphere and high view of Philadelphia is one of a kind. Wish they had more space along the windows for parties of 2.

Shawn Brathwaite

I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant for my wife birthday on May 14th. My wife and I had a great time the view is next to non the service was excellent thanks to Carroll (not sure if I spelled her name right). She gets a 5 star from us. She was attentive and great. I gave place 4 stars only cause of food not a whole lot of options on menu and food portions not fulfilling for your money I had the duck which was great. I just feel your mainly paying for the view.

Jason Neal

I have dined here four times and each time it was a very enjoyable experience. My wife and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary here. I mentioned this when I made the reservations and of course they surprised us with a free little cake that says Happy Anniversary. The food is and has always been excellent. If you are lucky enough to get a window seat you will love it especially if you are seated just before sunset. But even if you are not directly against a window you can still take advantage of the amazing view.

Danielle Pettigrew

My experience was excellent. I am so glad I went. Everyone was uniformed and attentive to me and my cousin. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was sophosticated and warm.

Roxanne Marie

Love this restaurant!!! Service is great & waiters very pleasant & well mannered. Food was delicious the sight is very beautiful I would definitely recommend this place to anybody & definitely plan on going back!

renita persaud

View was exceptional, food was great, however, we did feel a little rushed as we reserved the window view and wanted to catch the sunset - felt that everything came out a little to fast/rushed - we literally got to spend only 45mins, not by choice but that was when we finished everything including paying the check...would've liked to spend longer to enjoy the AMAZING view we had....

Sarah Mohammad

Very friendly staff ☺️beautiful view

Austin Chijikwa

Great views of the city and the foods great too

Jessenia G

The food was delicious. Good portions, well cooked and savory. The staff was attentive and friendly. Drink menu had a good selection.

The staff at R2L are so accommodating and professional. We decided to have our post wedding dinner with our family and friends at this restaurant after a few weeks of searching. We were most impressed by the views over looking the beautiful city of Philadelphia and their menu. As foodies, it was important that we share a delicious meal with our loved ones. We also saw vegan options that accommodated our minister's diet. Our initial plans for our ceremony did not look promising due to inclement weather, and R2L graciously allowed us to use a small space for our ceremony. It was perfect and we are forever grateful for their kindness and generosity. The food was excellent, the views were picturesque, and the atmosphere created a calm vibe. We highly recommend treating yourself to great culinary experience.

Christian Padilla

A great place to take someone on a special occasion. The view of the city is spectacular and the service is top notch. Its a bit pricey, but to be fair you are paying for good food and an amazing atmosphere. Well done R2L

Robert Carlson

Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent ambiance. No complaints. Would recommend for a romantic evening or just to check it out.

Anthony T

It's a place for people who have convinced themselves that expensive food = great food. If Red lobster or Texas Road House would serve R2L versions of streak and lobster, both would be out of business. It's a place to feel fancy. It's a place to feel entitled. The service is elite. Kudos to a top notch staff. The views are amazing and really the only benefit you get for $125 / person. Also.. Please, try using butter instead of margarine. It makes your desert creams taste cheap.

Joe's Artwork

Went to R2L for birthday dinner. The food and service were great and the view was awesome. Would definitely recommend for a great date night.

Jim Dymond

Simply awesome place service is top notch as well as the food Make sure you park and the lat. In the basement of the building

Will O'Reilly, Realtor

Without doubt one of the Ritziest bars in the city, in the best way possible! R2L is very nice, and if you haven’t been before it can be little hard to find the entrance, but on your second visit you feel like a pro navigating to their hidden entrance. The views are amazing and realistically, a huge part of what makes this place so special. Definitely one of the best places to watch the sun set indoors. Sadly I didn’t stay for dinner this time, but the drinks and Oysters were perfect. Make sure you’re dressed to the nine when you go here, there is no such thing as over dressing.

Barry F

Best meal yet, Great service and awesome sunset. Than you again R2L. Thanks for a great birthday dinner

Ryan Kipp

Reserved a west-facing window table for a birthday/anniversary dinner. The experience couldn't have been better. The view was amazing, especially at sunset. The whole vibe of the restaurant was great and the food could not have been better. The pork loin and the salmon dishes from the chef's recs were delicious. Portions were not too big but this was good as it allowed us to comfortably eat a first course and have a delicious desert as well. Would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.

John Lynch

Went there last night to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. From the time we walked thru the door to the time we left we were treated like someone special. I noticed they treated everyone in the restaurant like they were someone special. Our Waitress Maria was fantastic. We would differently would request her again. The food was outstanding and the views were spectacular. This was our first time here but definitely not our Last. The entire staff at R2L made our 40th Wedding Anniversary something special and memorable. Thanks to the entire staff and especially Marie for a great evening. we will be back.

Justin Shelley Licensed-Massage-Therapist

Absolutely breathtaking views ( The sunset was so beautiful) Restaurant seating takes into account great views even if not right next to a window. Taste and food quality are outstanding. I had Steak and lobster and the taste was out of the world!!! The Flavor was for days. Make a reservation because this place is busy. Service is very attentive and professional - I would recommend R2L to anybody looking for a romantic place to have dinner.

Rebeca S

Went yesterday for happy hour and really enjoyed the "hamburger" bites. The daiquiri tasted good but was not at all a daiquiri. The tab for that was around $20 I thought was worth the view.

Annette Fromhage

High quality dining, great view, attentive staff, chef flexible and helpful in dealing with multiple food allergies. I will visit again!

Uade da Silva

The view is outstanding, must see at night in philly.

Tia G

Mother’s Day was my first time at R2L. My waiter was very nice to say the least and even aloud my 7 year old the opportunity to try beets with goat cheese I knew she wouldn’t like. I misunderstood the Mother’s Day special and the manager was kind enough to take $50 off my bill. ; Talk about quality customer service. I will definitely have dinner again at R2L. Next time I have to get a window seat....

Jessica Whitfield

The views at R2L are absolutely stunning. The ambiance is lovely. The food we were not crazy about. I’d love to see more selections for restaurant week. The portions were scarce. We shouldn’t be hungry afterwards. I appreciated the opportunity but for the price I feel I paid for the view, not the food. This is my second time going during restaurant week. Thought I’d see if my opinion changed and it has not so this will my my last time going.
