Everything started off great. I booked lighting and sound services for a corporate event. A few weeks before the event, I contacted Natalie to remove the lighting from the package (yet keep the sound) because I was instructed to by management. Not only did she cancel all of the services, she called me angrily about it and HUNG UP on me when I tried to explain and see how we could move forward. I do not recommend working with her. From an event professional's standpoint, things change, and it's important to deal with vendors who can work with you and who won't call you in a rage and cancel services because of that. Her demeanor went from nice to completely rude and unprofessional in a matter of seconds. I'm honestly so shocked at how I was treated. Update: Natalie was aware that our finance department had a turnaround time of several weeks for checks to be issued. Of course she hasn't received payment yet. Why would we mail a check for services we are no longer going to receive? Also, in their response, they blatantly lied about having made arrangements for this event several months in advance. I haven't even had this job for several months! The initial plans were made about a month ahead of the event. The changes were requested about 2 weeks before the event. I reached out to them as soon as the changes were made, so I'm not sure what they're referring to with the communication issue. Do yourself a favor and DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! They are dishonest in many different ways.

DJ Joe and Philly Star Events are EXCEPTIONAL in their Service & DJ Joe plays THE BEST music to get everyone up & dancing!!! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend them to ANY COMPANY for their Corporate Event and I KNOW we will be using them again in the near future & for MANY more events!! ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From the initial planning sessions to emails updates along the way and to the last in person planning meeting, Philly Star communicated with us with great warmth and professionalism all the way. Our wedding day was a long work day for the DJ since it started at 2pm and didn't end until 930pm. He played music in 3 locations (on the beach for the ceremony, in a small room with a large bar for cocktails and in the main ball room for our reception). The team expertly transitioned from one location to the other with great ease. They had a lot of equipment for each of the spaces and executed the set up for everything with precision. Our DJ's choice of music and his ability to read the crowd kept even the most reserved folks in our group dancing ! I kid you not people! We were shocked. The groom had so much fun on the dance floor to the point of not wanting to be peeled away when our guests asked to take photos! The pink uplighting and custom monogram were PHENOMENAL! The pink colored lights perfectly matched everything that we chose. Natalie is so kind hearted and helpful and full of fun ideas. She worked as our lighting designer and created our custom monogram which everyone took photos of. Philly Star Events is a truly a professional company ran by great people that really love doing what they do. If you've envisioned a wedding with everybody (younger, older, and in-between ages) having fun on the dance floor, hire them!

After being referred to Philly Star Events by both my sister in law and a former co-worker we decided to hire them for our wedding. Natalie is friendly, consistent, professional and well organized. She always asked about our preferences. Email response time was prompt, questions were answered right away. Our DJ talked to us in great length about songs that we wanted to hear and when they should be played (i.e. entrance, cake cutting, open dance floor, etc). Overall we felt very comfortable throughout the entire process before the time of the wedding. Everything came together perfectly. The wedding reception was even more fun than I thought. My husband can't get over how many people have called telling us how much fun they had. The DJ really made an impression on our family so much that we already asked about having him preform at a family party this summer. I highly recommend Philly Star Events.

We enjoyed our 2nd time around with Philly Star DJs. Our class reunion was a big success in that we could enjoy our friends and classmates without having to think about which music to play during our recent event. Philly Star DJs had us ready to go prior to the reunion and their DJ was able to take our requests and bring them to the next level so that we had a very nice environment and ambiance throughout the evening. I will look forward to the next time I can team with Philly Star DJs for social, professional, and community events!

Where do I start? Our DJ with Philly Star Events did an amazing job during the entire time our wedding reception! The music was incredible - I got so much POSITIVE feedback from countless guests who keep saying that the reception had the best mix of music that they'd ever heard at a reception! DJ Ariel really kept our crowd going until the very end of the night, which we loved. He paced the music just right and did a superb job at reading the crowd. He knew exactly what to play for younger crowds and the older crowds loved how he played the classics. The music definitely made our night! We highly recommend Ariel! He listened to everything we wished for for our day.
