Everything started off great. I booked lighting and sound services for a corporate event. A few weeks before the event, I contacted Natalie to remove the lighting from the package (yet keep the sound) because I was instructed to by management. Not only did she cancel all of the services, she called me angrily about it and HUNG UP on me when I tried to explain and see how we could move forward. I do not recommend working with her. From an event professional's standpoint, things change, and it's important to deal with vendors who can work with you and who won't call you in a rage and cancel services because of that. Her demeanor went from nice to completely rude and unprofessional in a matter of seconds. I'm honestly so shocked at how I was treated.
Update: Natalie was aware that our finance department had a turnaround time of several weeks for checks to be issued. Of course she hasn't received payment yet. Why would we mail a check for services we are no longer going to receive?
Also, in their response, they blatantly lied about having made arrangements for this event several months in advance. I haven't even had this job for several months! The initial plans were made about a month ahead of the event. The changes were requested about 2 weeks before the event. I reached out to them as soon as the changes were made, so I'm not sure what they're referring to with the communication issue.
Do yourself a favor and DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! They are dishonest in many different ways.
