After interviewing 11 wedding planners in Oregon and California, my decision was easy when I met with Kelsey. The Vanity Affairs Team is professional, thoughtful, and hard working. They have an eye for design details while also the confidence and knowledge to execute a logistically challenging event. Kelsey comes across as very professional and organized which is why we hired her to help plan our August 2017 wedding with 120 people expected to attend. She is great in person and gives the impression that she is on top of everything. But by the end of it all, her communication skills are seriously lacking. She would simply not respond to questions and requests via email or phone and this seemed to increase in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Several of the vendors including the chef and venue also complained to me that Kelsey was difficult to get in touch with. Despite these frustrations, she would have received three stars as we had a fun and beautiful wedding. However, many months after the wedding I discovered that Kelsey had knowingly allowed $800 in late fees to accumulate with our drink vendor (with whom we had no direct contact as it was all arranged by Kelsey). Stephanie at Twist disclosed to me she had been in contact with Kelsey repeatedly regarding these charges but Kelsey would inexplicable only pay in small increments despite having access to our credit card. It was only when I contacted Stephanie directly in December that I was made aware of this. I don't know why Kelsey did this as she never returned my phone call.
