I will start my review saying that Amanda did end up refunding our $500 deposit, which we contractually weren't supposed to get back. We were willing to give that up to get away from P2P.
We first met with Amanda last fall and it was just okay. Her attitude wasn't the best, but we brushed it off. I would probably be brash if I were in this type of industry too. We are having a small, beach, destination wedding and details aren't my thing. We hired her to keep the stress off of us and it has ended up being nothing but stressful.
Our wedding is on June 7th. Our last meeting was February 7th and the last sort of communication was a text from her on February 9th saying she'd call me. I have yet to receive that phone call back.
I didn't plan on leaving this review, however, we are currently on the phone with our photographer (the only thing Amanda orchestrated for us this entire time) and her feedback on working with Amanda is my breaking point. Amanda never actually booked her AND the promo the photographer offered us was EXPIRED because Amanda waited too long to get back with her. She told us Amanda tried to blame it on us! We signed the contract AND paid the deposit the day Amanda sent the invoice. Which was the last time we saw or spoke to her. Amanda did pay for the extra hour the photographer was offering to us months ago, I guess I'm thankful for that.
59 days, that's how long it took Amanda, after at least a half dozen failed attempts at contacting her, to see where we were with planning. She conveniently text me back a week after my fiance had text her. In that week we had reached out to an attorney and started making our own arrangements. We also happened to call the restaurant we're going to after the wedding to make sure that was reserved. It was, but for the wrong time and the wrong number of guests...
64 days, that's how much time we had from Amanda's last text message to us last Thursday until our wedding. To say I'm dissapointed is an understatement. We trusted HER with our special day. She talked a BIG game but she didn't back that up. She did tell us she had an outpatient procedure and there were unexpected challenges with that, and I understand and respect that, but 59 days of not responding to your clients is unacceptable.
I'm happy for those who have had a good experience with P2P but I wouldn't ever refer someone to Amanda. Nothing but disappointment.
