My parents were married in The Philippines 50 years ago. We (my sisters & brother) celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in The Grand Ballroom at Michaud's with just under 300 guests on Saturday October 26, 2019. Christine Cicco & Doris Cooke were our event coordinators. Doris & Christine had answers for every question we had. They went over ever option available, made recommendations, and even told us when something seemed unnecessary. They were a joy to work with. Very professional and friendly. They realized this was not just another party. (How many 50th wedding anniversaries have you been too?) We chose Buffet D'Elegance with two entrees & 3 sides, served salads at the tables, head table served family style, ivory linens, gold napkins, podium, table numbers, roomwide champagne toast bottles opened and placed at tables, cut & plate entire cake, and 6 pub tables with linen. The Grand Ballroom was not booked on Friday, so we were allowed to set up our decorations, the dj equipment, and our alcohol the day before. This was a huge stress relief. We didn't have to worry about any of the setup the day of the event. The hall was spectacular. My parents were overwhelmed at how everything looked, the layout, and the decorations. Debbie Smith was our banquet manager. The opening ceremony ran long because the preacher wouldn't stop talking (not Michaud's fault). Debbie coordinated with me, so the rest of the night's events ran smoothly. After the opening ceremony was finally finished, Debbie and the rest of her crew hustled to get the bread and salads out to the hungry guests as quickly as possible. She saw me constantly running around to the videographer, photographers, etc. and expressed concern that I should grab something to eat. How thoughtful. She hunted me down numerous times throughout the night to verify everything was running smoothly and to ask how I was doing. The food was great. We got tender sliced top round in demi-glace with horseradish, breaded boneless parmesan crusted chicken breast with zesty lemon piccata sauce on the side. The accompaniments were fluffy mashed potatoes, penne marinara, and seasoned green beans. Fresh baked assorted cookies and gourmet assorted pastries were available after dinner. The bartenders kept the drinks flowing. There was never a long line of people waiting at the bar. After our first round of shots, the bartenders always had shots ready for us. The bathrooms were clean. I got no complaints from anyone about anything. Almost every guest complimented us for how everything looked & the top notch choice of venue. The Michaud's staff helped me give my parents the 50th wedding anniversary they deserved. I cannot thank them enough. My sister actually said to me, "I should get divorced just so I can get remarried and have my reception here."

Ok I heard good things about this place, but recently i went to a wedding and the food was terrible. I think they forgot what salt was. I mean i would understand if it was one dish without salt, but all?! No thank you.

Do not book an event here unless you are 100% certain you are having it. They will keep your ridiculously predatory deposit of 50% of the entire balance and will never re-book your room. It's pure profit for them, no food costs, no employee cost. You basically lose the money as soon as you sign it over. I'm looking into legal action right now, it's predatory by its very nature and from what my attorney said, it violates Ohio contract law since no material service was actually provided. They have civil suits going back to 1975, avoid these people at all costs.

The pricing was decent and the food was just OK. As the Bride and first table to eat, I was surprised that my food was hardly warm. But the venue is decent. Not the best, certainly not the worst.

We went to a wedding reception here and had a great time! There were multiple events going on in other rooms the night we were here but I'm pretty sure we had the best time! Restrooms were downstairs but that was the only imperfection. The food was great and the staff was extremely helpful and nice!

If I could give a negative rating I would. I am getting married and I came in (scheduled appointment) to look at the venue. I have a very large party and wanted to make sure I found a place with plenty of room to accommodate my guests. Amongst walking in I did not get greeted I walked into the open office on the left and let the ladies know I had an appointment for 1pm. An older lady walked in and asked for my name and proceeded to tell me my appointment was at 9am which I knew was input wrong because I worked at that time and wouldn’t have scheduled that early. She never apologized for getting the time wrong and also never suggested rescheduling. Thankfully I went over to Belarus in strongsville where the staff was AMAZING and I am very excited to be having my wedding there it also looks way nicer and doesn’t have a weird old people smell like michauds.

Had a great NYE experience. Loved the various bands and comedians. Such fun crowds of all ages. Great service and bar tenders - even for a BYOB party. They had bottle openers, cups and mixers on hand. Fun photo booth.

Our wedding was on 9/1/2019. We can’t thank Michauds enough for all of their help throughout the wedding planning process! Any questions that I had were always met with an answer within the same day. The chef even called me after we made our menu selections to clarify items that we chose to make sure my husband (who has a gluten and dairy allergy) had enough selections to eat. That alone made us feel like the staff at Michauds truly cares. The day of our wedding, the staff was extremely accommodating and helpful! Our ceremony and reception went smooth and we have to give a big thanks to the staff for that. Thank you for everything; for being so helpful, kind and great to work with!!

Attended a prom Do-Over here and expected more than what I was given. One of the bar tenders didn't even put alcohol in my drinking! Who does that?! The food was okay, with some options tasting better than others. I did not appreciate the rude server at the buffet line yelling at me and other people and bossing us around. Overall, the place is very clean and big and nice, just not as fancy as I expected because of all the hype.

Okay so my brothers wedding was yesterday 9/2018. Where do i start I gave them a 1 star for Courtyard Area which was nice and the bathrooms were clean. Service :They gave 2 people to attend to a party of 85. Well 3 if u include the bartender.Anyway MOST IMPORTANT FOOD: I GIVE THEM A 1 ON A SCALE OF 1 TO 10.THE BEST THING WAS THE CORN.MASH POTATOES I GIVE THEM A 1 .BEEF TIPS HORRIBLE MORE MUSHROOM IN EVERY1 PLATE THAN BEEF TIPS .IT TASTED LIKE BEEF TIPS OUT OF A CAN . ACTUALLY LOOKED LIKE DOG FOOD. BREADED CHICKEN COLD AND FRIED DRY. AND LET ME SAY I AM 1 OF THE LEAST PICKIEST EATERS EVER. SO ON THIS NOTE I WOULD SUGGEST U THINK LONG AND HARD ON YOUR $$BEING SPENT. DO U WANT A PLACE WITH GOOD FOOD FOR UR GUEST TO SAY DAMN THAT WAS AMAZING OR GREAT FOOD OR DO U WANT SOME1 SAYING WELL THE PARTY WAS A HIT MINUS THE FOOD MIND U I HAD TO MAKE A RUN TO TACO BELL AFTER THE RECEPTION ENEDED BEING HUNGRY..I KNOW MY BROTHER WORKED HARD FOR HIS WEDDING TO PAY FOR IT AND TO THROW HIS MONEY AWAY LIKE IT WAS ITS UPSETTING. Place sucked. Came here for a wedding and was not pleased. The only thing that was good about the wedding we went to was the DJ (hired from outside). The venue clearly hadn't been updated since at least the 90's, the buffet that was catered by the place consisted of 2 meat options, a veggie, and mashed potatoes. All tasted TERRIBLE. The mashed potatoes were clearly not real and the veggies had to of come from a can. Do yourself a favor and never book an event here.

We had our wedding reception at Michaud's on 6/21/19. From the start when we first visited, the team was welcoming and answered all of our questions. Doris was our main contact and was fantastic - I can't express my thanks enough for how she treated us (especially at our final meeting when I was all but losing my mind over small things). Each of my emails was answered promptly. Debbie, our banquet manager, was excellent as well. We met the day prior when decorating our room and she answered all of my questions and was very accommodating with requests (adding a chair to a reserved table, removing one reserved table, lighting any LED candles). The day of, everything went smoothly - the head table was well taken care of and our guests were pleased. Even at tear-down when someone thought they misplaced their car keys, Debbie made sure everyone stopped to check under tables and tablecloths for anything that may have been picked up. The tables were set up perfectly as requested and I was so thankful that Debbie's team was able to turn on our centerpieces (about 15 tables with 3 LED candles and 1 string light a piece). I also appreciate that we were able to bring in homemade pastries (I know my mom would have been upset if we weren't allowed to). Dinner was painless, guests got up for seconds and enjoyed their meals. We loved the Holiday room - easy access to the lovely courtyard was fantastic (especially for tear-down!!) and while we didn't have competing events that evening, I liked that it was all the way at the end of the hallway for a little extra privacy. They fulfilled their mission statement with us - I felt that we had exceptional service at a great price that stayed within our budget, the entire process was easy, and our evening was perfect.
