Mary communicated in a timely, professional fashion from start to finish resulting a day that we will treasure forever. Mary was on site and attentive to detail for the rehearsal and ceremony, both of which came together seamlessly and flawlessly. She was instrumental in recommending vendors, from video, photography, florist, transportation, music, etc. She was cognizant of our budget and worked with us to get the best value possible. Every detail was coordinated to perfection which allowed us to be in the moment and savor the day. This review will not even come close to expressing how much of an absolute joy it was working with Mary and her team! My wedding was on June, 4th at the Inn on the Biltmore Estate. Mary and her team played such a huge role in making our wedding everything my wife and I could have ever wanted, and more. To start, I feel it is vital that I speak to Mary’s professionalism, organization, and outstanding character. Whenever, I needed to make the slightest change, Mary would always get back to me that day if not the day after. Also, my changes would always be reflected in the updated timelines and charts. This not only showed me that Mary and her team took note of my changes, but that they also were quick to reflect them in the documentation so that everyone would always be on the same page – this attested to her outstanding organization, care, and attention to detail. More importantly, Mary never made me feel like I was burdensome or taxing when I would request a change or ask for her advice! She made a point to let me and my wife know that before everything else: vendors, timelines, deadlines, etc., she was FOR US and that the most important thing to her was our vision and happiness. Also, Mary was so good at delegating responsibilities and more importantly, tastefully pacifying any family member or friend who tried to take over. When our wedding day finally came, thanks to Mary and her team, everything was executed flawlessly. I never imagined in a million years that planning a wedding could be so stress-free and fun. But thanks to Mary, she made that a possibility. I honestly cannot say enough great things about Mary and her team. I would give her a 10 star rating if I could. It was truly a joy and a privilege to have been able to work with her. She is the best and will exceed any couple's expectations. Thank you for everything, Mary!

I had a few concerns because this was a destination wedding for us and you made everything SO smooth and simple. I couldn’t ask for anything more. She gave us a wedding timeline 4 months in advance to the big day, and I have friends who haven't received timelines for their weddings one month away. She always responded to emails/calls quickly. From pretty much day one, Mary Bell made sure we were connected with the very best vendors in the area so that our wedding day would become the vision we imagined it. We are happy to say that every last vendor recommendation exceeded our expectations on every front! Additionally, she helped secure favors, coordinate rentals, work with the venue, manage our ceremony and rehearsal layouts, create a weekend timeline --- this list just goes on and on. Throughout the process, Mary Bell kept a checklist of all that needed to be completed, and truly made sure we were on top of every last detail. Mary Bell would respond to any question we had extremely quickly, and was just amazingly communicative throughout the process. I highly recommend Mary Bell Events if you are planning a wedding. She is extremely professional, thorough, responsive, knowledgeable, pleasant, - in short, she does what she says she’ll do and does it with grace and flair. She knows the very best vendors in the Asheville area, and they all LOVE her – a very good sign when other businesses enjoy doing business with her. The band that she recommended was by far the best wedding band I’ve ever heard, and played non-stop for three hours and had everyone up on the dance floor. The florist, ceremony musicians and dinner musician and photographer were also top-notch. Our daughter’s wedding was in Cashiers, NC where the roads are steep and winding so transportation for our guests was a must. Mary worked with the transportation company to make the pick-up and drop-off schedules, which would have been an absolute nightmare for an amateur. Mary’s experience and knowledge of the wedding industry is unsurpassed, her work ethic is incredible, and her responsiveness to our desires was always all about us. My husband and I were married in April of 2018 and I decided early on to hire a wedding planner due to the projected size of our wedding and my desire to keep my sanity. I was concerned about keeping our rising costs under control and after meeting with another wedding planner and getting a frighteningly high figure for our estimated budget, I promptly fell into the bridal blues. Then, when lamenting about my wedding woes to a bridal shop employee, she said, "You should really call Mary Bell. I just used her for my daughter's wedding and I'm sure she'd be a huge help and would work with your budget." So I did! Immediately after our phone introduction, I felt a sense of relief. Mary was able to ask several key questions to get an idea of what I was looking for, and was able to tell me confidently that she could help me beat the previous estimate for our wedding. Mary provided a custom planning package that worked with our budget and also allowed me to be a bit hands on and do some of the beginning stages myself. Even still, she was very available via phone or email whenever I had a question and was always the consummate professional. The months leading up to the wedding she provided innumerable supports from helping navigate last minute guest count changes, last minute bridal party changes, and helping me to NOT lose my last minute mind:) Mary and her team were absolutely amazing on the day of our wedding. They assisted the florist (who we hired on Mary's suggestion) in making the venue and ceremony space look amazing and Mary frequently checked in to see if I needed a fresh drink or if there was anything she could do for my husband and I. I can not explain in a summary, how amazing Mary Bell is, it’s not even possible! We thought we could handle the whole wedding process, because the venue would handle everything but the DJ, Photographer, and Florist. Boy we were wrong. I called around to a good couple of wedding planners to get help, fast! Mary Bell is the only one who returned my call, and treated me like a bride, and not another paycheck. She was completely upfront and honest about every aspect that is needed to make the idea I had for a wedding worked. She even stated that in order to stay under budget, hiring her would go over budget, which blew my mind for someone to be that honest and not try to make a sale. After speaking almost 2 hours with her, we booked her the very next morning, and will never regret it in a million years. Again, the venue handled almost everything, but getting an actual response from them took days, weeks, a few emails I’ve never gotten an answer to. But I kept Mary up to date on all issues, questions and concerns, and between 15 minutes to 2 hours, she would have an answer from the venue, like magic. That’s truly who is she, a wonderful magical warrior. Mary works 24/7, and I’m not lying about this. There were times when I’d get emails from her at 2 or 5 am. There was even one week where Mary was supposed to be on vacation, an actual vacation...and I still got emails at least once a day updating information. Mary honestly takes dedication to a whole new level. I was not lucky enough to have her booked early enough to have her be there on my wedding day. But, she had these two amazing assistants who knew everything related to my wedding, what I wanted, and didn’t want, they were amazing. On the the wedding day, you knew both ladies were there, because you would see glimpses of them working behind the scenes to make everything to go smoothly, but they were like magic, setting everything up, making sure things happened on time, not a single bad thing happened. My wedding was literally perfect. From the amazing florist Mary suggested who was able to arrange my flowers from pinterest, to the DJ that Mary listed who just knew what music my heart wanted, and even an amazing photographer who made my husband smile all day, and he hates to smile in front of the camera! If it weren’t for Mary, I would not have found these amazing venues, and would not have had such a beautiful wedding as I did. I owe Mary everything in the world, all she has to do is ask. I live out of state, and I’m literally finding any reason to throw another party or celebration, just to get to work with her again. I’ve never had anyone be as amazing, kind, hardworking, and so honest with me. It’s very rare to see nowadays. But that’s Mary! The BEST in the Carolina Area!! Wow, what an outstanding destination wedding weekend. Mary Bell Events was the event planner for my son and his wife’s wedding in Ashville North Carolina. Coming from New York, Manhattan area and the Bride and Groom living in Washington DC we did not know any events planners from North Carolina. After doing a lot of research we hired Mary Bell Events. We had over 130 guests mostly out of town guests and three events. We were very glad we hired Mary Bell’s for the full package. Mary’s expertise in planning all three events and her vendor recommendations were outstanding. We started the weekend with beautiful welcome boxes that Mary Bell and her talented staff put together. All our guests raved about the welcome boxes. I would definitely recommend the welcome boxes. It was a very nice way to start our wedding weekend. Mary helped us plan an outstanding rehearsal dinner at the Capital Club with a great caterer, talented singer, special lighting and incredible desert and popcorn vendors as a theme for our montage. The next day we had the most gorgeous outdoor ceremony at Asheville Country Club followed with a wonderful reception. The flowers at the ceremony and the centerpieces were the most beautiful I ever saw and the table names cards were outstanding. All guests commented how they enjoyed all the events. Mary Bell and her assistances made our family and friends feel comfortable while still making sure that everything ran smoothly and stayed on schedule. Mary Bell and her assistances were there at all three events from the beginning to the end to ensure the success of each event. Our daughter's wedding this weekend was beyond anything I had ever envisioned thanks to Mary. Kelsey and Tyler were engaged in December, 2017 and as soon as they began to consider a destination wedding in Asheville, I began to stress over how to plan a wedding.
