We knew we wanted to find a day of coordinator that could take the helm on our wedding day, but had no idea just how helpful and essential it would be. From our first phone call, we could tell how much Amy loves what she does. Having someone detail oriented, organized, responsive and that could handle the two of us and our DIY endeavors was key. Amy was our day-of coordinator for our Fall 2017 wedding and from the moment she stepped in to assist I was completely at ease and stress free for the entire month leading up to our wedding! Our wedding was DIY so there were a lot of moving parts and I was very particular in who I trusted to keep all the details straight but Amy came right in and had everything under control from the get go! She also had fantastic suggestions that drastically improved the look and feel of our wedding which was far beyond her job as our day-of coordinator. We cannot say enough about Ainsley and how she was the glue that held us all together for our daughter's wedding. Our daughter had already been singing her praises, especially concerning her attention to detail, as they worked together in the weeks leading up to the big event but my husband and I did not have the pleasure of meeting her until the afternoon of the rehearsal. We had some major problems with the venue that Ainsley was quickly aware of just walking into the place. By the time all of us got there she had already anticipated the barrage of questions we would ask and was working quickly on assessing the situation and getting answers as best she could. She immediately had a calming effect on me, which is an invaluable ability she possesses. The following morning my husband went back to the venue very early in the morning to see if any progress had been made and Ainsley, whom we did not expect to arrive until much later, was already there - taking charge. By the time the wedding started later that afternoon one would have never known that just 24 hours earlier the place was a huge mess. The ceremony and following reception were absolutely flawless. Ainsley managed every detail perfectly, which was a challenge since we had multiple vendors instead of a caterer. Even without our crazy circumstances, Ainsley would have been the perfect wedding coordinator to work with because she magically makes things happen with ease. But for our situation she went way above and beyond and did so with true professionalism and a smile on her face. I am so thankful my daughter found her as I cannot imagine anyone else being able to correct the problems and handle all she did. We all highly recommend Ainsley and Modern Rebel because she was simply the best to work with.

Where do I even begin with Ainsley & the Modern Rebel team?! After we had the wedding of a lifetime, I received multiple texts and emails raving specifically about Ainsley from my family. We hired Modern Rebel to provide day-of coordination for our wedding in NYC, and it was 100% worth it. Brittany was truly wonderful. She fully bought in to the vision of our wedding, and from ~30 days out she took over communication with all vendors, put together a detailed timeline, and was relentless in chasing down any missing details. We were fairly organized already (both working in project management roles) but Brittany was so helpful in taking things off our plates in the final month, and in allowing us to be fully present with family and other guests on the wedding weekend. At both the rehearsal and the wedding Brittany (and her assistant Rachel on the wedding day) was on top of everything across both venues, from setting up both locations with the personal touches we designed, through to ensuring bridal party, family, MCs and vendors were in the right place at the right time and troubleshooting along the way. She was the perfect mix of approachable + super-efficient. We didn’t have to worry about any of the details as Brittany owned it all by that point. The whole bridal party and family raved about her ability to keep everything moving while looking so calm. She is a rock star. We would recommend Brittany and MR to anyone!

Brittany at Modern Rebel is truly amazing! She was the day of coordinator for our beautiful wedding at the Greenpoint Loft. She was so excited to work with us, which was evident through her communications, and she’s incredibly responsive. As this is a very Do It Yourself (DIY) venue, we were very grateful for her organization of all of our vendors, creation of a detailed timeline, identification of any gaps in our planning and taking charge for the day of the wedding! She also knew the answers to all of our questions, such as “how do we transport the leftover alcohol and our belongings back to our apartment?” and "what should our layout look like?", confirmed the details directly with all of our vendors and oversaw set up and take down so that our friends and family could sit back and relax. It was wonderful to leave the stress to Brittany, while my husband, family and I celebrated such a special day. Due to some changes in a family member's deployment schedule, we suddenly had to move our date from 10 months away to 4 months away. Let's face it the wedding industry can be superficial and overwhelming. When looking for a day of coordinator we really wanted someone who focused on the couple as a whole. Amy and Modern Rebel literally saved my life/sanity/everything. Going in, I didn't initially understand the role/need for a day of planner, but we were required to have one for our vendor. We hired Cait from Modern Rebel for our recent Brooklyn wedding, and it was easily the best decision we made as part our wedding prep (other than deciding to get married, of course). Cait is amazing – she’s organized, efficient, patient, easy to work with, and just an overall great person. First off, if you are on the fence about whether or not you need a wedding coordinator, you do. There are so many moving parts to coordinate on the actual day (not to mention the weeks leading up to the wedding), and you need someone to handle all of these details so you can actually enjoy your day. Cait is that person (and more!). To say we were behind in planning was a bit of an understatement, but we brought Cait aboard about 45 days ahead of the big day, and she immediately kicked things into gear. She is one of the most organized and thorough planners you could possibly ask for. From our first phone call, we could tell she was on top of everything. She helpfully pointed out a bunch of logistical and other issues we needed to think about, many of which we wouldn’t have thought of on our own until it was too late. Understanding we were really trying to stick to a modest budget, Cait also made several suggestions for reasonably-priced vendors and (non-tacky) DIY options for the many decisions we hadn’t made before she came on board—which was a huge help in keeping costs down and limiting the stress of those last minute expenses, which can get out of control if you (and your planner) don’t keep an eye on it. We’re really grateful for that. Cait put together, and consistently updated, the most amazing timeline document which covered every aspect of our day. She coordinated with all of our venues and vendors. We received unsolicited feedback from several of our vendors about how organized Cait was, and how easy she was to work with. We knew she was running a tight ship, but also treating everyone we hired with kindness and respect. That type of reassurance really went a long way towards calming nerves as the big day approached. Our wedding day turned out flawlessly, and we have Cait to thank for that. We got to enjoy the day and spend time with our family and friends, and Cait made sure everything happened as planned. We didn’t have to worry about a thing, and we experienced none of the stress that can dampen the fun of such a big event. Cait went above and beyond to make sure we had the most memorable day possible. She spent considerable time getting to know our preferences and devoting time to phone calls and venue walk-throughs. Things went so well that we ended up extending the event by a few hours, and Cait was there with us to the end! To wrap this up, if you are looking for a planner, go with Cait. In a word, AMAZING! We had decided early on in our wedding planning process that we were not going to use a coordinator and do everything ourselves. Well, with one month until the wedding we realized there was no way we were going to be able to do that. We were completely overwhelmed by the scope of the event and were in serious need of help. We hired Modern Rebel as day-of planners for our wedding, and Amy was an absolute rockstar! She began the process with detailed, acute questions about our wedding day which helped ensure we wouldn't be problem solving on the day. She even helped us find a new staffing company 10 days prior when we ran into communication issues with the company we'd hired. This past August, my partner and I got married and Ainsley, from Modern Rebel & Co. was our month of coordinator. We cannot say enough about Ainsley and the rest of the Modern Rebel team. One amazing thing about Modern Rebel is that they donate part of their proceeds to charity, which is something we were looking for in all of our wedding vendors. Ainsley, our coordinator, was also amazing. They were super organized and so, so, so friendly and helpful. We were immediately comfortable sharing our wants and concerns with them. Ainsley was always available to email or chat, and as the wedding got closer, they took over all of the details. The day of the wedding, Ainsley and Cait (also from Modern Rebel) ran everything and the day went smoothly, they watched the weather to determine if our ceremony would be under a tent or not. They coordinated all of the people and vendors, handed out tips, etc. We had absolutely no worries that night and got to enjoy ourselves completely. Believe us, you want Ainsley to be your event coordinator and Modern Rebel to be your coordination company. We are trying to figure out what other event we can hire them for just to work with them again!

We got married in June 2019 at 501 Union, and hired Brittany Ward from Modern Rebel as our Coordinator. I did a lot of research on wedding planners, and I was surprised to learn how affordable Modern Rebel was in comparison to other planners in NYC. Before we selected Modern Rebel, I had a call with Brittany. And honestly, I had a call with another wedding planner an hour before I spoke with Brittany, and about three minutes into my conversation with her - I knew, there was no contest, she was it! Brittany is super upbeat and sweet, and totally on the ball. She had excellent communication with all of our vendors. She thinks of everything, and I was a pretty organized, type A bride. I oversee logistics for a living, so I know how important it is to remember the details and problem solve on the spot. I was able to relax because I knew we were in good hands with Brittany on our wedding day. She had safety pins on her to fix the strap of a dress for one of my bridesmaids! She’s an absolute dream - you won’t be disappointed with including Modern Rebel on your day!

Our experience with Cait was terrific from start to finish. Cait from the start made sure she understood our values and what was important to us about the ceremony and the party. Brittany was our DOC for our wedding. We had an intimate City Hall ceremony followed by an ~120 guest reception. I don’t know how we could’ve pulled it off without Brittany’s expertise! She contacted us about 30 days before our actual party to get all of our details and vendor information so she could start organizing and getting a timeline together. She’s very personable and responsive and made the final month of our planning process significantly less stressful. During the day of, you get so caught up in the moment and there’s so many things going on at once that it really makes a difference to have someone who knows what they’re doing to tell you where to go and where to be (yet not be overbearing) all the while directing the vendors and taking care of whatever their needs may be as well. That’s what Brittany did for us and we couldn’t be more grateful. Bonus! They also donate a portion of their proceeds to a non-profit of your choice! To say that our wedding would not have happened without Amy and Chelsea at Modern Rebel is the understatement of the century! After changing our wedding location from Austin to LA, Amy was incredibly helpful in sourcing all of the vendors, and when Chelsea took over at the 60-day mark, she was very communicative with each one of them (venue, food, bar, DJ, flowers, photographer, an artist - even a magician). We met with Chelsea several times leading up to the big day, and she was always incredibly punctual, organized, and kept us on task. During the actual reception, Chelsea anticipated our every need and made everything go so smoothly. Aside from their incredible work ethic, Amy and Chelsea are also genuinely wonderful people. They got serious when we needed to get serious, and they joked around when we were lighthearted. They got our personalities and how we wanted this love party to represent our relationship, and we truly felt understood and heard. All in all, we could not have asked for a better group of people to work with for our special day, and feel so fortunate to have had Modern Rebel in our corner throughout the entire process!

Modern Rebel was recommended by our photographer, and we realized right away why that was! Modern Rebel is a different kind of planning company. They are a badass group of women who are cool, kind, fun, passionate, compassionate, talented, and they simply love all kinds people. There are no judgements with Modern Rebel. You can be as weird and quirky as you are, and they not only embrace it, but celebrate it. Amy was our DOC, and I feel like fate brought us all together. Our connection with Amy was instant - a best friend that we felt like we knew all our lives. We got to know each other a month before our wedding and it made the rehearsal the night before and the wedding day that much more fun. When I saw Amy on our wedding day I ran up to here and squeezed her and said how happy I was to see her. Amy is a bright light in this world, and makes everything better. Her dedication is unreal. The month before our wedding, she took care of coordinating every detail, talking to each vendor and making sure everyone was on the same page. We had spreadsheets to fill out so we were all on the same page, and as our wedding got closer we started to feel like we could breathe knowing we had Amy in our corner to be there for us and bring everything all together. On our wedding day, Amy was a ninja. While our wedding was on the smaller side, there were a lot of moving parts to our day and Amy was incredible making sure everything was going smoothly. If you are looking for a coordinator for your wedding day, look no further, please. Amy is a special gem in this world. Her dedication and hard work shines and not only will you have a a talented and hard working person coordinating your day, but you will also have a friend who genuinely cares.

We had several outstanding vendors at our wedding-- unfortunately, Amy was not one of them. My partner and I are relatively detail oriented, but decided to hire a wedding coordinator to help us facilitate key events and troubleshoot for us on the big day. More specifically, we expected her to make sure any participants in the ceremony knew where they needed to be and when, to make sure all the events of the wedding day followed a timeline previously agreed on, and to identify and mitigate any issues that arose. Though we chose Modern Rebel’s Amy due to the absolutely glowing reviews she had, she did only an average job with ensuring our timeline was followed, and we were decidedly unimpressed by her ability to adequately perform the other tasks. By far, the largest issue was that of ceremony audio. On Amy’s recommendation, we purchased a wireless speaker, but though I, my partner, and the officiant were all at the venue at least 70 minutes before the ceremony began for pictures, Amy did not ask us to test the audio. To be clear, Amy said she tested the audio and made sure people could hear her, but that was likely due to the fact that she knew the correct way to use the microphone. Had she set aside time for the people speaking during the ceremony to practice, she would have found that they didn’t know just how close it needed to be. Members of the audience, especially those from the last few rows, told me that the officiant’s voice went in and out throughout the ceremony and they could not hear our vows at all (likely because my partner and I held the microphone too far from our mouths). After the ceremony, one of our photographers, who had immediately identified the problem, explained exactly how to use a microphone in a ten second tutorial. With this tiny intervention, we were able to make sure that our welcome remarks at the reception could be heard by everyone. Having spent many hours crafting our vows and ceremony script, it was very upsetting and frustrating to learn that so many guests were unable to hear them clearly, especially as the incident was entirely avoidable. There were numerous other, smaller issues that I will not list here. I know that many of these things might seem trivial, but when you’re explicitly hiring someone whose job, in large part, is to systematically take care of all those small tasks that come up on your wedding day, these errors really do add up. It boils down to this: Amy makes a compelling pitch to couples. She says that she can leverage her objectivity and expertise so that the couple can feel confident in the decisions she makes in their stead. In short, we are paying her to free ourselves from the burden of the details and inevitable small problems of the day. But despite many of the issues that occurred being ones she could have prepared for, my partner and I do not feel that Amy delivered what she suggests she can in her pitch. Amy was very polite and she was respectful to my family, which I deeply appreciate, but, based on our experience, we would not hire her again.

Usually when I'm at weddings, planners are either super chill (and tragically disorganized) or hyper organized and really uptight - both which make the bride and groom miserable. Amy was really fun to work with and she kept the wedding perfectly on track, while making sure the bride was well taken care of. She made sure that was champagne for toasts, family and friend bonding time and that everything felt seamless and easy for all involved. Would highly recommend!

Gina from Modern Rebel was an absolute dream. She was calm, organized, supportive, and so nice! She made the day go by flawlessly so that my wife and I did not have to worry about a single thing. She was consistently there at a moment's notice, yet somehow her presence was always subtle and unobtrusive. She anticipated all of our needs, and made us feel like royalty. Leading up to the wedding she was able to provide detailed information that helped enormously with logistics, but she never pressured us or made us feel nervous. Our wedding was very DIY, and we wouldn't have been able to pull any of it off without her guidance and help in the weeks leading up to it. She was able to recommend vendors, keep us on top of guidelines, offer expert advice on things like alcohol purchases, seating charts, and even managing our own expectations of how many things we really could do ourselves, and all as a helpful, calming presence. She also put up with a million of our emails and questions with patience and support. The results spoke for themselves: we had a wedding and reception that went off totally as planned, and we had a wonderful, stress-free day, thanks to Cait and her assistant.
