Hiring Shadé Coleman from Details Made Simple was by far the best decision we made in the wedding planning process. About 3 months before our wedding, I was overwhelmed with finalizing the details of our big day. I researched day of coordinators on WeddingWire and the Knot and decided to contact Details Made Simple. Carla Friday, the owner, contacted me immediately, offering her assistance and reassuring me that her team of professionals would handle everything so we could enjoy time with each other and our family and friends. We had the pleasure of working with Shadé for our May 19, 2017 wedding at The Tides Estate. Shadé was amazing! She was personable and professional; I did not have to worry about a thing on the day of my wedding. My mom (who is very difficult to please) was impressed with her attention to detail and ability to stay calm under pressure. Kim from Details Made Simple went above and beyond in every way. At first we were hesitant to get a day of coordinator and tried very hard to make our wedding more affordable in any way we could. I can say without a doubt that Kim was completely invaluable. She was organized, decisive, honest, proactive, kind, fun, and prepared. Our wedding and the entire day would have been lesser without her. We’re proud to have worked with her and will be recommending her to all our friends and family who are planning their weddings.

Carla Friday is a life saver! I'm pretty sure our wedding would have been a disaster without her. Our venue went under new ownership, so that caused massive anxiety. She kept us calm through the changes. She constantly kept in contact with the new owners to ensure our day was successful. She was unnoticed by most guests. She made sure our ceremony was beautiful - paces timed out perfectly, entrances and exits beautiful, and made sure opportune photos were taken. She fixed a florist mistake and made a boutonniere in a couple of minutes with flowers from our altar piece. She made special arrangements for a guest with Celiac Disease so the guest could still enjoy the night. She set up all of our decorations at the venue and made sure they looked amazing! And I'm sure there are a ton of other things that she did but I was kept unaware of these issues. Which is great, but now I can't brag about how amazing she is! I am so so thankful for everything Carla did for us!! And my husband says "she's pretty cool."

Carla was our day of coordinator but to be honest she was more than that. We booked her in February 2016 for our September wedding. From the day we booked, she did monthly check ins to see how things were going and what she could assist with. When time got closer, she was checking in every week. She also did a final confirmation with our vendors. She was always willing to lend a hand and her guidance. She came with me to our final walk through and knew the right questions to ask the venue. She truly made my vision come to life! She never felt like just a day of coordinator, she felt like more than that. She was someone by my side throughout the process and on the day of was very quick and efficient and thought on her feet! "Don't Call it a Dream, Call it a Plan" My fiancee is very much the dreamer(Graphic Designer) and had lots of aspirations and ideas about how our wedding day would work out. I, being the computer analyst, just saw everything that could go wrong. Without having any idea how to pull off the wedding of her dreams I started searching for Coordinators. After seeing the prices, I had just about given up until I found Details Made Simple. These ladies offered several reasonably priced planning packages that helped guide engaged couples through some of the madness. Once my fiancee talked to Candice, she was convinced this is just what we needed. We opted for an enhanced version of the Peace of Mind package that offered full Day of Coordinating services plus some planning coordination leading up to the wedding day. Through out the process Candice was awesome and kept us on track AND on budget. Our wedding day turned out amazing and I'm not sure how we would have done it on our own. We were paired with Jess Z! She was GREAT! Beautiful person inside and out! She was prompt with emails and texts, very detailed with answers and information! She was great with recommending bakers, venues, caterers, etc! I don't know what we would have done if she was there with us the whole ride planning a wedding! More importantly what we would have done if she wasn't present at the wedding! It wasn't cheap but definitely worth the money!!!! Makes your life less stressful, great help from a professional, it was worth it all!!!!

Once engaged my husband, then fiance suggested we should get wedding planner or at least a day of coordinator...and it was the best decision we could have ever made while planning our wedding. Candice was our coordinator and she was amazing! She kept me focused, calm, and sane during this whole process. From finding the perfect venue to finding a florist, she was TOTALLY ORGANIZED AND KNOWLEDGEABLE! She was always there for me and checked in on me frequently to make sure I was OK and that things were going to plan, and if not she would step right up to make it right. Most ladies dream of their wedding day and I was not on of those. My husband pushed for us to get some help and keep the wedding planning process smoother. Fast forward to the wedding being behind us and I am so greatful we were paired with shanika for my may 19th wedding. She was on it! I had alot of DIY components and am naturally very particular-- and she made it ALL happen. ** Despite crazy rain and last minute day off changes being made , I was ready for my wedding about 45 min before my first look and was able to relax with my family. Wow, plenty new! Worked there more than several years ago. SHIRLEY was the marerdi at the time. It was great then as it is today. The waiters and waitresses were outstanding. Mr. D. would not have it any other way. That's where I learned to fold m ed first fancy napkin. Is it still owned by the Demetrius Family. Great time to be had by all.

I mainly hired a day-of wedding coordinator to figure out the timeline, and to make sure that I wasn't the one having to tell everyone where to go and when. April ended up doing SO much more, and handling much more than just the day of. My husband Jeff and I were married this past Saturday. April was in touch consistently from the time I hired her last summer. She talked me down off many ledges, and listened to me vent when I needed to! It was wonderful to know that the timeline was set, and that all the vendors were confirmed. The day of the wedding, everyone commented on how calm I was. That's because April took care of EVERYTHING, even things I wouldn't have ever thought of, and didn't know I needed. She even helped remind the pastor how the ceremony should go!
