Save yourself the disappointment and just stay away. Last weekend I hosted my fiancé's surprise birthday party at "costa del sol" and I was very upset. Both event coordinator and the poor excuse of a manager are very rude. The party was at 8pm, they promised to open the room to me to setup and decorate by 6 pm sharp, that was a lie. Turns out they had a baby shower right before my event (ended at 6 ish) and I had to wait for them to clean up. To put the icing on the cake, I paid for 44 adults and 6 children, I received a bill for $150. When I asked the poor excuse of a manager "Why am I receiving this bill? I paid already?" he replied "you had more than 50 guests". That was a lie, to avoid them shutting down my party , one of my good friends paid. I must admit, the venue is nice, I can't say the same about the staff. I was actually considering them for my wedding, that's out of the window!!! These people are crooks, unprofessional and rude!

The last time I was here it was about 20 years ago for a college friend's wedding reception, and I liked it. This time, it was for my cousin's wedding and reception. The ceremony was held outside in a very pretty courtyard, and while the day had been mostly gray and gloomy, the Sun chose to come out from behind the clouds just before the beautiful bride walked down the aisle. Afterwards, the reception was held in a lovely glass fronted room just off the courtyard(not the main building). Everything was perfection; the waitstaff polite, friendly and attentive, the buffet was delicious, the food kept hot without drying out. Congrats to my cousin and his new wife on their marriage, and they picked a very nice spot to celebrate. I wish I could give 4 3/4 stars!

I highly strongly recommend this place, I just had my wedding on Saturday July 22 2017 and they did their best to make our day special, all the attention they had with us and our guests were amazing, everything was on time ,the food was delicious served on time ,the way they handle to move my cocktail hour inside because of the heat outside was amazing. The management was so helpful since the first day me and my fiance walked in their door, I thank to tino and John they were so good to us and a very very special thanks to Daniel he really did his all to make our wedding day free of stress and beautiful, he was so helpful and understanding and on top of every detail. Liked the outing. It was a NJEA PAC cookout for Phil Murphy. The size of the outdoor space was surprising, so much bigger than we thought upon arrival. The cheeseburger and hot dogs were good! Everybody seemed to have a good time.

My husband and I attended a Retirement Party here. It was suppose to start at 7pm and end at 10pm. The buffet was not ready until 8:15. The chicken pieces were too tough, as were the small pieces of meat that were part of some sort of goulash of potatoes, peppers and olives that had awful pickled cauliflower on top. Terrible! The rice and salad were excellent, however, though the eggplant parmesan was tasty, one could not distinguish actual pieces of eggplant as it was all mushed up. The worst part of the night was that there was no coffee or dessert offered, though it was clearly suppose to be part of the menu as shown on their menu package samples. Enough people complained about the lack of coffee, and they finally brought some out about 10:15. They spent most of the time cleaning up and little time attending to the needs of the customers. Quite disappointing.

I came here today to inquiry more detail Information about an event. It was empty and nothing was going on . The owner was so rude and dismissive. I asked questions regarding the packages, availability, menu and rooms but his answer to everything was "I don't know " when I asked who could I speak with that would know, he replied " I am the boss" . He clearly didn't want to provide any service . . I have delt with banquets hall where they sat you down and gladly went over the packages.. he just told me to go online when I asked to review them.. The WORST experience ever!!!!

John goes out of his way to meet our requirements. I can not say enough about the place, food and service, it is definitely on my high recommendation list.

Nice area. Many different areas you can rent in one place. The only thing I didn't like was that no one was directing traffic for guest of other parties that were going on during the same time, so we had strangers coming into our party looking for another party.

This place while seeming to be affordable, is by far the worst brunch I've ever had in NJ...I was there just last Friday with my girlfriend and after getting our drinks (which were crap) I glanced over to the buffet and saw a spider crawling on it, after a few more seconds of gazing I realized that it was NOT a spider, but a roach...yes, a roach not one, but 3. After informing one of the waiters she told us the buffet would be open in 15 minutes and we quickly left. I know I know, it doesn't cost much to have a party there, but for roaches to actually be IN the dining area, I felt compelled to let my fellow NJ'ers know what was behind the curtain.

This place is the biggest rip off in the world. One they had landscapers who were working outside come in and start pouring water for the tables in their landscaping clothing. The room was like a sauna and we had to figure out how to turn on the air conditioning. The bill they calculate the service and the taxes to make a measly 100.00 dollars more. I would never go there again the food was not served like we spoke. It was a terrible experience I urge to look to do your venue else where if possible.

Place is average at best and they have the nerve to want to charge top notch Prices. The other day I heard they even turned down a couple and her parents who were ready to drop a check right there. She had been there numerous times and always hoped to one day have her reception there. The tool bag owner told her father he has no time for them and turned them away, after having one of his employees lie about him even being there. Do yourself a favor. Let them go out of buisness. There are better places that are cheaper.

This place is a dump that smelt of mildew...Stay away! Attended a wedding for my best friend's son. My wife and I flew in from South Florida and wish we had never stepped off the plane. The food was inedible and the servers were inexperienced and many could not speak English. The trashy owners and manager kept strutting around like Bozo the clown, running their loud mouth amongst many of the guests. Total trash family and place that needs a wrecking ball instead of a renovation. Hope this helps.

As an event photographer I've shot here numerous times. This is my 2nd favorite venue. I find the staff to be pleasant and professional and grounds to be nice. Food is delicious but standard venue fare.

I attended a baby shower there like two weeks ago. The manager was very rude to guests. Making a statement this not Applebees., cause they was asking about the food. I asked for ice they gave it to me in a shoot glass. Another guess ask them for more coffee ( the manager stated No. They food wasn't good. Went there 5 yrs ago... Everything was great... Food and staff... Went this time and soda was already on the table poured a glass went to drank and it was full of ants!!! Took a min to get staff to come and remove glasses and pitcher.. They replaced it... We never got a apology and my daughter had drank some and yes ants were in her glass!! No one ever came and checked on her either...

HE SHOWED US A TOTAL OF TWO ROOMS. MY MOM, SISTER AND I LOVED THE LAST ROOM HE SHOWED US. WHICH WAS BY FAR THE MOST PRETTIEST ROOM THEY HAD(WINDOW ROOM). AFTER ASKING SO MANY QUESTIONS, TAKING VIDEOS AND PHOTOS OF THE ROOM. WE WERE STILL HESITANT IN GIVING A DEPOSIT THAT NIGHT, AS OF COURSE WE WANTED TO SLEEP ON IT. THE NEXT DAY WE MADE OUR DECISION, AND WANTED TO BOOK THE ROOM. WE CALLED MADE AN APPOINTMENT THAT DAY, TO GO AND FIND ANOTHER GENTLEMEN NAMED JOHN, WHO WAS VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I TOLD JOHN THAT THE OWNER MENTIONED THAT THERE WAS JUST A MINIMUM WE HAD TO REACH A ON SATURDAY NIGHT IN OCTOBER. JOHN REFUSE TO TAKE OUR BUSINESS OR EVEN HELP US TO ACCOMMODATE US IN ANY WAY WHEN WE WERE WILLING TO PAY THE 120 PEOPLE MIN REGARDLESS!!!!!! HE KEPT SAYING THAT THE OWNER "MADE A MISTAKE" I MEAN COME ON NOW! THE OWNER???? I WAS SO SHOCKED OF HOW UNPROFESSIONAL HE HANDLED THE SITUATION. NOW IMAGINE IF I DID BOOK THAT SAME NIGHT!??! WOULD HAVE I NOT GOTTEN A PARTY?!!! WHY WOULD ANY OWNER OR VENUE TURN DOWN BUSINESS WHEN WE WERE WILLING TO PAY THE MINIMUM? WORST PART IS, WE DECLINED OTHER VENUES AND AVAILABILITY WAS CRUCIAL AT THIS POINT!! THEY HAVE A LOT OF COMPETITION AROUND THEM.. AND NOW I'M NOT SURPRISED WHY THEIR PARKING LOT WAS EMPTY! I visited Costa del Sol for a Christmas Party, the place has big parking lot, the facilities are nice and spacious, there was probably 200 plus people and we have still had space. Food was ok, dance floor was pretty big, had a great time, staff was ok. Overall to host an event the place is good but not great.

We have our wedding reception here in the celestial ballroom. Our ceremony was in another room. They accommodated last minute changes due to weather easily and with kindness. Great service and food.

I am very impressed. The place is very accommodating and understanding of last minute circumstances. I had my baby shower here last night and enjoyed every part of it. Food was amazing. I received so many compliments on the location, food and delicate service. I totally recommend it. Yes, it's pricey but they will work with you and are honest about how you should spend your money. I wish I could have taken some of the food home lol.

After two years of company outings at Costa del Sol, I think I'm done with it. It's a nice place, half campy, half catering hall, but I wouldn't have a wedding here. The food is just OK but I think it's family owned and operated, which really makes it a comfortable place to relax with coworkers.

Everything looks awesome in this restaurant. Menu, rooms, service, price, food, etc. It seems to be the perfect place to have that church reunion, wedding or sweet 16. All of that, of course, before they get your money. Then they don't deliver 10% of what you paid for. My niece's prom party was horrible. They had 3 waiters to serve 150 guests. Service was as bad as it could be. Food was dry and tasteless. I and others couldn't find parking space because they have other events happening at the same time and don't care. Definitely a bad business.
