Good Venue, terrible customer service: This venue was able to accommodate our caterer and our wedding size. It was a nice venue; However, if I had to do it again, I would choose a different venue based on the customer service alone. Through the whole process we barely heard from the event coordinator. We were told a month out we would have to hire security. (We had reserved this space a year in advance). Due to some misunderstanding we were told we had to pay an extra $450 for the kitchen 1 hour before the reception started, by someone we had never met before. He had the ability to speak the event coordinator but would not allow us to, even though we wanted to clarify. He argued with us the whole time. He told my mom there was no way it was their mistake so it must have been our fault (Even though I have all records of our correspondence). He also told me that he was doing me a favor by letting us even us the kitchen even though it was not on our contract. We had made it very clear that we would have an outside caterer from the beginning and there was no mention of an additional fee associated with the kitchen. This was an unnecessary stressful situation.
