I can't say enough what a help Melody and her team were. I hired her as my day-of coordinator, but she was tremendously helpful through the whole process. Helping us through an issue with our room blocks early on, and answering loads of questions about what to do in sticky situations. I had a small, nontraditional wedding and her presence helped fill the void of a wedding party. She felt like a friend through the planning process; the kind of friend that doesn't get annoyed hearing from you every other day with 10 "this or that" planning questions (so, the best kind of friend). I would recommend her to anyone!

The best decision I made in regard to my wedding [other than marrying my husband;)] was hiring Events by Melody. I'm a bit of a control freak and was determined to plan the whole wedding myself. I made my own invites, centerpieces, etc.. and I was proud! But when the wedding was ~2 weeks out, the pressure started to sink in. My husband emailed several coordinators and Melody responded quickly, had a great price and was extremely professional. Over the next two weeks, Melody was unbelievably helpful. She confirmed the details with all my vendors (final counts, arrival times, pick up times, etc). The day of timeline she created didn't leave a single detail out and it helped keep my wedding party in check all day. She set up all of our decor, placards, etc without question.. and to top it off: When my husband and I got up to our hotel room at the end of the night, she had cleaned it and left a personalized parting gift that left me literally in tears because I couldn't have imagine how stressful the day would have been without her. Melody asks questions when she needs to, but also has the confidence and style to execute on her own without bombarding the bride. If you are reading this I am confident hiring her will be the best decision you make as well.

I had been going back and forth on whether to hire a day-of coordinator because I had a relatively small and simple wedding. I am SO GLAD I ended up getting Melody! Two weeks before the wedding, when the stress was really setting in and last minute items really adding up, Melody was super responsive and gave me the assurance that everything will be handled expertly. You can tell from just talking with her that she is super organized and calm, and is ready to handle anything. The day of the wedding, everything went perfectly -- and if anything wasn't perfect, no one could tell :) Melody and her assistant Brandy coordinated all the vendor arrivals, set up + tear down, and timing of every segment of the day so that everything stayed on schedule. I put the mother of the groom (who was also very impressed with Melody!) in charge of working with Melody and Brandy so my husband and I ended up having absolutely nothing to worry about ourselves! No decisions to make, no one to chase down, no watching the clock, no worrying if the the right things were going to be at the right places at the right time. I wholeheartedly recommend Events by Melody. Even if you have a "small" or "simple" wedding, there's still a ton of little details that you will find yourself worrying about. As someone who is very conscious of the financial cost of weddings, I think Melody and her team was one of the best decisions I made! A stress-free wedding day is truly priceless.

On May 19, 2018 I made the best decision of my life marrying my husband. My next best decision was having Melody and her team there to run my big day. Melody is extremely organized and knows the answer to everything. (Literally) I’m so glad I did partial planning and day-of coordination because times have changed and Melody knows all the latest modern wedding trends. Instead of searching through hundreds of blogs for answers, Melody was just a text or call away. She is always very fast to respond and can hook you up with some of the best, most economical vendors in Minneapolis. Melody truly goes above and beyond for her clients. When I was putting together my invitations, she proof read them for me and made suggestions on wording until it was perfect. There’s nothing better than having a planner as you approach your event. Melody did all the communicating with vendors, planned the logistics, mapped out our timeline and even handed out our vendor tips so we didn’t have to worry about a thing! All our vendors loved Melody and got along with her very well! Melody is very fun to work with and she’s the backbone you need on the day of your event. I will forever stay friends with Melody and will rave about her for the rest of my life! If your date is open, I’d book it before it’s gone. Selecting Events by Melody for our day-of wedding coordination was genuinely the best decision we made in our wedding planning. If they could manage our wedding they can do anything - and they did! We had 250 people in my mom's backyard with a potluck dinner and one million moving pieces. Hannah, Melody and their support staff went above an beyond in making sure the logistics were covered so we could focus on our wedding day, anxiety free. They helped with prep and cleanup, guiding the wedding party and myself down the aisle, refilling ice, moving tables, moving us through our wedding day timeline, and much much more. Events by Melody did an absolutely phenomenal job as my day-of coordinator and I was blown away by how organized, professional, and knowledgeable the team was. I honestly didn’t expect to enjoy my wedding - I was convinced that I’d spend the whole time setting up and adjusting decorations, worrying whether everything was going smoothly, helping the night flow correctly, touching base with vendors, and making sure my guests were having a great time. I didn’t spend a single minute doing any of those things because Melody and her team did it all for me. Early on in the day, I worryingly asked Melody about something and she just looked at me and said “don’t worry about it, it’s all under control.” You could tell she meant it so I sat back and enjoyed the rest of the night as it went off without a hitch. My now husband and I got home and the first thing I said was “what would we have done without them?” Hiring Events by Melody was one of the best decisions we made for this wedding and I can’t recommend them enough.

Thank goodness we found Events by Melody! I got married in June 2019, and about halfway into planning it, my fiancé and I decided we needed help. Our onsite venue coordinator, Nancy, actually referred us to Melody -- you can't get a more trustworthy referral than that. Nancy specifically mentioned that Melody was the ONLY planner she refers, because Melody, unlike other planners, is extremely respectful of the venue staff and works seamlessly alongside them. Melody was on-the-ball from the moment we reached out via email. She is the definition of prompt, professional, and detail oriented. She kept everything organized for us, and provided us with a day-of itinerary based on all our numbers, locations, etc. This was an absolute lifesaver. She communicated the final schedule with all of our vendors so that everyone was on the same page. On the day of the wedding, she and her amazing assistant helped setup our place cards, welcome signs, and decor so that I could relax with my mom and maid of honor while we got ready for the big day. She checked in with me throughout the day to make sure I was happy and to reassure me that everything was going smoothly. At the end of the night, she distributed final payments & tips to each vendor so that we didn't forget. Melody and her assistant were so friendly and helpful, and they both blended into the background while making sure every detail of the day was executed accordingly. Melody made wedding planning much less stressful! Whenever I would have a random dilemma/question/concern I could count on her to help me find a solution! If it weren’t for Melody and her team (Maggie AND Tyler!), I know our wedding day would not have gone as well as it did. Her team did all of the small things that you may not think about (transporting items, setup and breakdown of both ceremony and reception, etc), and even MORE since we had a blizzard. When the bridal party bus got stuck in a ditch, my maid of honor turned to me and said, “I don’t know what to do,” and without skipping a beat I said “call Melody!” Melody organized a convoy of vehicles to pick us up at the bar and bring us to the reception, and kept all of the vendors in the know of where we were so we didn’t have to. Once we all got there, she worked with all of the vendors to adjust our ever-changing schedule, and made sure every detail was accounted for. My wedding day is true testament that even if you plan for worst case scenario, it can ALWAYS get worse. I hired her for peace of mind, and boy did she deliver! If I could give her 10/5 stars, I would!

She even took time to chat with me about her business. The day of everything was perfect - if anything went wrong, we had no clue. Events by Melody was HANDS DOWN the best decision we made in our 2 years of wedding planning. We had the pleasure of working with Melody herself, and her assistant Lexie. I have never met someone who has stuff together like Melody does. I consider myself a rather organized person (in my own crazy way) but Melody had things figured out that didn't even cross my mind. We had to suddenly move our wedding inside, and I was worried we may lose the "walking down the aisle" feel. She heard my concerns, and ran with it. When I had a break form getting ready, I peaked out from the 2nd floor and checked on set up. I saw Melody and Lexie switching around and sitting in just about every ceremony chair to make sure the sight line was perfect. After the ceremony when the bridal party left, Melody and her assistant flipped the entire space while guests were still standing all around! I wasn't present for this part, but I heard it went smoothly and very quick. It's hard to explain, but Melody has this type of "calming" personality. We went into our first face to face meeting 30 days before our big day, and I was frazzled, notes everywhere, got lost on the way to her house, and just an all around mess etc. We walked in to her office, and everything was clean, clear and perfect. She had our documents ready (1 printed for my now Husband, my mother and myself) and we quickly went through the details. We left her home office and the only thing we talked about on the half hour drive home was how excited we were that we got to book her in time! On the day of, she also took everything into her owns hands. There wasn't a single thing I had to worry about. She stayed until the end of the night, helped us clean everything up and get it ready to load into cars. I'll say it again- HANDS DOWN the best decision we made (besides actually getting married !!)

EVENTS BY MELODY IS THE REASON MY DAY WAS PERFECTION! Melody and her team were my"day of coordinators" for our September 2018 wedding in the twin cities and all I can say is WOW. Melody went completely above and beyond coordinating the day of by giving me vendor recommendations, decoration advice, vendor management pointers, and made my planning experience actually enjoyable! The day of our wedding was seriously flawless because Melody is like the girl in school that everyone wants to do a project with: unbelievably organized, a natural leader, and someone who executes under pressure. She even packed away cake samples for my groom and I because lets be honest, you don't get a chance to really enjoy a bite of cake on your wedding day! One of the most hilarious parts of the reception was when I accidentally set my drink on a piece of cake on a table, and I turned around to find Melody, with a fresh drink for me already in hand. She's like the bridesmaid/personal attendant that you'll never have :) Ladies, if you're trying to decide if you need a wedding planner/coordinator or not, I would definitely recommend getting one, and I would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Events by Melody!

I had the partial planning package with Melody since September for my July wedding. I broke the contract with my coordinator who told me that I was not able to ask her any questions until the month of because it was not my turn. It could have not been more opposite with Melody. Even ten months out she made me feel like my wedding was really important and helped me with any questions/problems I had big or small. She is even there to talk about personal things that are bound to happen during wedding planning. On the day of she even calmed some family drama that was about to take place and she and Hannah handled it professionally so I didn't have to be put in that position. Anything that came up the day of- her or Hannah handled it so that by the time guests arrived everything was ready and looking beautiful. Melody knew from the beginning that it was a dream of mine to get my wedding published and supported me in decisions I had to make to have the best chance of that happen. I loved that I was able to add any hours I wanted to the package as I really needed with the amount of rentals that I was bringing in and loved having her and her amazing assitant Hannah there from the moment I pulled in to the end of the night.

On May 19, 2018 I made the best decision of my life marrying my husband. My next best decision was having Melody and her team there to run my big day. Melody is extremely organized and knows the answer to everything. (Literally) I’m so glad I did partial planning and day-of coordination because times have changed and Melody knows all the latest modern wedding trends. Instead of searching through hundreds of blogs for answers, Melody was just a text or call away. She is always very fast to respond and can hook you up with some of the best, most economical vendors in Minneapolis. Melody truly goes above and beyond for her clients. When I was putting together my invitations, she proof read them for me and made suggestions on wording until it was perfect. There’s nothing better than having a planner as you approach your event. Melody did all the communicating with vendors, planned the logistics, mapped out our timeline and even handed out our vendor tips so we didn’t have to worry about a thing! All our vendors loved Melody and got along with her very well! Melody is very fun to work with and she’s the backbone you need on the day of your event. I will forever stay friends with Melody and will rave about her for the rest of my life! If your date is open, I’d book it before it’s gone. Events by Melody was a dream come true! We booked a venue sight-unseen while it was under construction early in our wedding planning process, and during that time, there were some communication issues with our venue, but through that and other wedding planning obstacles, knowing Melody had my back on our day was super comforting! I could email her at any time throughout the planning process and she was so helpful with answering questions or giving suggestions. You can tell Melody is a girl boss! She is so confident and has a can-do attitude. She understood exactly what I wanted for our day. Melody even went to our venue before our 30 day start time to check out the space and meet with the event manager without even asking her to since it's a new venue - I was so shocked and knew she really does care about all of her clients. I always felt like I was important and not just another customer which is rare in the wedding world. The day of our wedding, her and Lauren made sure everything was perfect and exactly what I wanted. I am super particular and had a clear vision and they were able to perfect it! I actually got sad at the end of the night that I wasn't able to work with her anymore after the wedding! Booking a day of coordinator is well worth it especially Events by Melody!

So I will start off by saying if you don’t want a wedding planner or a day of coordinator think again!! Especially with Melody and her crew!!! We hired Melody for partial wedding planning and day of coordination. She was in contact with me through my whole process the second I booked her, anytime I had a question she would respond with a list of possibilities and even send links or ideas. She gives the bride a month to month check list and on your original meet she gets to know your vision and helps you bring it to life. I booked Melody when I was deployed and she made it a walk in the park…. She assigned a lead and assistant to my wedding about a month out and when I met with the lead and Melody I know that she had passed my vision on perfectly. Melody reaches out to all of the vendors to make a day of timeline she verifies payment deadlines and keeps you up to date with everything. The day of Kirsten was my Lead and Jess was the assistant they showed up and came in to see if I needed anything right away. They helped my husband and the boys set up the venue worked with all of the vendors, handed out our tips to each vendor, kept everyone on schedule and made sure I HAD NO WORRY at all the day of. I mean I don’t even know if anything went wrong because these girls were on top of everything. They took care of the dessert table, made sure we had a FIRST DRINK the second we walked back up the isle and they checked in with us all night…. I felt like I didn’t use them as much as I should have… but they were so so great! This was the BEST DECISION I made as a deployed soldier, who came home to full time school and work and step children…

Events by Melody provided rehearsal and "Day of" coordination for our daughter's November wedding. However, Melody was also very helpful throughout the planning stages of our daughter's wedding day. Melody was always very responsive to any question and at any stage throughout the planning process. She led the rehearsal for the wedding which was great as we were not able to have the rehearsal at the wedding / reception venue. Melody and Jess showed up the day of the wedding and took control of everything setting up the decor just as our daughter wanted. They made sure that everything stayed on schedule and that the vendors were where they needed to be and when. Throughout the reception, if there were questions about anything, Melody and Jess were there to help out. By the end of the reception, all of the decor items were packed up and ready to go. No one even noticed that they were taking things down, including my husband and myself. It just magically happened. I would highly recommend Events by Melody as your "Day of Coordinator". There is no doubt that the day was everything our daughter hoped it would be thanks to Melody and Jess. Their services also made for a stress-free and enjoyable day for our whole family.

Events by Melody is a team of all-stars! They are professional, hard-working, and detail oriented. They will do everything in their power to make your day perfect. I planned our wedding myself, and loved (almost) every minute of it! A few months into planning I knew I would need some help on our wedding day with set up and execution. I wanted to hire someone that I trusted to help make the day come to life. I interviewed a few different planners, and it was clear that Melody was the right person. We met a couple of times and kept in touch via email leading up to the big day. Melody and Tina were with us on our wedding day, and they were simply amazing.
