Soraya helped me to plan a birthday party for my boyfriend who wanted a mixture of Middle Eastern and western cuisine. Simply put, Soraya was wonderful. She is creative, friendly and professional. Soraya helped me to refine the menu and everyone couldn't say enough about the delicious food. From beef tenderloin on croissants to kafta to a sumptuous array of grilled veggies with a balsamic drizzle, everything was just amazing. The staff who worked with her were also friendly and personable, willing to go the extra mile to make sure the event was just perfect. I will use SYB Event Planning Services again the next time I'm planning a catered event.

hired Soraya to help with catering for our corporate event in Boston. From the day I found her, she has been nothing but pleasant and helpful with us. She came to see our office space and helped us with suggestions on floor plan. She customized a menu for us and the food was AMAZING!! I have never had steak tips like that before. She brought her waitstaff on site and even the sous chef. Her company also provided the bar for us as well - the bartender was very friendly! We are all very happy with the outcome of this event and are definitely planning on using SYB Events and Catering again!

I hired Soraya to Cater our Open House. This was the best decision I could have made. I was filled with questions leading up to the event and was very impressed with how fast she got back to me every time. She walked me through the process so that I was very comfortable having her take the lead on set up and execution of the event. The owner of the company told me the next day that I "hit the ball out of the park" with the party and I have Soraya to Thank for that! I will definitely be hiring her again for work functions, even for my own wedding someday!

We are very happy with SYB event planning. We wanted to have a wedding celebration in our backyard and did not want to spend too much yet wanted it look classy. With Soraya's help, we managed to do just that. She was great to work with, always accessible and very resourceful! We were expecting about 100 people and initially were not sure if we want a event planner but we are just so glad we went with one in the end. She was on top of everything and made sure every small detail was taken care of. Her recommendations for caterer and liquor suppliers were excellent. Food was top notch and we saved a lot on the liquor even though we had a pretty well stocked bar with all kinds of liquor. All in all we were very happy with Soraya's event planning services and would definitely recommend her.

Planning a destination wedding in Newport, RI in 6 months while living hundreds of miles away, working full time, moving once cross-country, finding a new job, starting a new job, etc, etc, is no easy task, even with a wedding planner! With everything going on in my life, plus the short timeframe (the wedding date we selected was 6 months out from the day we secured the venue), and the fact that I am a perfectionist, I knew I was going to need help. I was lucky enough to come across SYB Event Planning while on Thumbtack. I interviewed a few companies and ended up selecting SYB because Soraya, the owner, and I really clicked while talking on the phone. While I wasn't necessarily looking for a cultural wedding, I knew she would understand some of the nuances with our families because my husband and I come from different cultural backgrounds. Soraya specializes in taking the time to understand different cultures and she goes out of her way to embed as much or as little as you want of you or your partner's culture into your wedding. I'm so glad I had Soraya for the entire wedding planning process and for the day of the wedding. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and totally exceeded my expectations (this is a perfectionist speaking...just for some perspective). I don't think that could have been possible without having Soraya helping along the way. She challenged me to think about things I would have never thought of and took care of all the details. She went above and beyond to make sure the wedding was as successful as it could be. She even drove over 90 miles each way to get us a cute favor that we really wanted for our guests...without hesitating! I didn't even ask her, but when she heard me talking about what I would like to do if the place was closer, she just jumped in and said she would take care of it. I'm so thankful for everything Soraya did to make our special day a success and would highly recommend her to anyone trying to plan a wedding.

Soroya and her team are fantastic! They recently catered a fundraising sailing regatta for me and were wonderful from start to finish: planning, sourcing, staffing, and follow through. It was 95 degrees and no wind but her team always had a smile on their faces and worked so hard for the entire day. The food was delicious, and plentiful, and all of our guests were happy. I cannot recommend them more fully. Truly great experience!

Soraya is incredible! She catered and did the day of planning for my 150 person New Hampshire wedding. Her team is so professional and fun and truly made our day special. She helped us pick amazing food that all of our guests raved about. Beyond the catering, she found us a perfect DJ pair who had everyone (of all ages) dancing all night! Soraya took care of all of the "day of" tasks so I could dance, visit, drink, and have fun! She ran everything perfectly. She truly thinks of everything! I could not have asked for a better partner to see that my event was special, fun, elegant and within my budget. Our daughter's wedding was now just over a month ago. It was amazing! And this is saying a lot for a number of reasons. The wedding itself was on a small island in the middle of a lake in New Hampshire while the reception was outside a private home in the woods near the lake. 92 guests were shuttled out to the island and back to the house. This involved rented school buses and somewhere around eight or nine boats. While we were out on the island, Soraya and her assistant were doing incredible things in the very meager kitchen. They had driven all the way up from the Worchester, Mass. area with all they needed to feed us one of the best wedding meals I have ever had. I still don't understand how they did it. They fed 92 hungry adults, under a tent down the hill from the house with delicious hot food, never ran out, and there were only two of them. They performed a miracle. By the time they left, they had cleaned everything up, left us the extra food in the fridge, bagged all the trash and then left no trace that they were at the wedding beyond the happy 92 guests and the leftovers. I'm sorry that this is our last daughter's wedding. We'd hire SYB again in a heartbeat!

Hiring Soraya from S.Y.B. Event planning was the best wedding decision we made! She is extremely professional, friendly, organized and literally takes care of EVERYTHING. We originally contacted her for catering services (she has connections with many great restaurants and chefs and really works with you to build your perfect menu-organizing tastings and hand picking each menu item) but she also helped us with everything from finding a DJ to working with our hotel venue to manage the day-of coordination. I would highly recommend you take advantage of Soraya's "Day-of Coordination" service-she works non-stop to make sure everything flows smoothly, coordinating with all of your vendors and managing the timeline for your entire wedding reception. You do not even notice that she is there during the reception-she works so quickly and behind-the scenes ensuring that everything is perfect! She truly is the fairy godmother every wedding needs! Soraya also has a great specialty and understanding working with multi-cultural weddings. As a fusion Indian/American wedding she was very attentive in accommodating our unique needs (ex. building a fusion menu). I cannot say enough how S.Y.B Event planning, whether you hire them for catering or planning services, is the best decision you will make for your wedding planning!
