From the moment we met Tommy, we could tell what passion and energy he brought to his work. While he came highly recommended by another bride to DJ our wedding reception, we knew from the first meeting that he would guarantee a great time on the dance floor. During the planning meetings it became evident to us that his passion for detail transcended into all of the services offered by Tommy Gatz Entertainment to include creating the perfect atmosphere for all stages of our reception with tailored up-lighting and a sound system to fit our venue layout. We became more and more confident that everything would go smoothly on the big day as Tommy and Valerie made themselves available to coordinate and discuss the many details and timeline of our reception in the months leading up to the wedding--even graciously accepting last minute changes and requests from our end. The personal touch of multiple in-person meetings during the planning process was invaluable. With a large wedding to plan, we relied heavily on the flexibility and professionalism of the Tommy Gatz team. On the day of the wedding, we were able to relax knowing that the event would stay on schedule and that Tommy and his team had everything under control--working closely with the our other vendors when needed. DJ Tommy Gatz and DJ Schemes kept all of our guests energized and loving one song to the next. We’re pretty sure all 180 friends/family were on the dance floor a some point in the evening. We all had a blast and we are still getting compliments on how much fun our wedding reception was--we give most of that credit to Tommy Gatz Entertainment. On top of everything, we love our candid photos taken by Tommy’s crew! They truly show how much fun everyone was having and gave us an opportunity to see so many great moments that we didn’t get to see in person that night. To top everything else, our short video and cinematography products that captured the highlights of our wedding ceremony and reception were perfection and will be cherished for years to come. We would recommend Tommy Gatz Entertainment to any couple planning their wedding or anyone looking to put on a worry free and fun-filled event. Most companies give you a quote without ever even having a meeting, so we felt that Tommy was really taking the time to get to know what kind of people we were and our taste. After our first meeting with Tommy Gatz Entertainment, I knew immediately that I wanted to lock them up for our wedding date! It was one of the best decisions we made for many reasons. For starters, one of the best compliments I got about the wedding reception, came from my parents. My mom told me that they thought maybe they were in the wrong room when they arrived to the cocktail hour because of how amazing everything looked! We had both known Tommy for quite some time and his reputation speaks for itself. He is simply amazing. Along with his team, they go above and beyond to make sure every detail is perfect. I think this DJ service is relatively new and hasn't been doing this for too long. I went to a wedding recently where he was the DJ and although there were a couple bumps in the road, he and his assistant did their best to recover. There were some issues with the songs, such as corrupt files and incorrect songs played, but from what I understand those problems have since been resolved or are being worked on to ensure they don't occur again. There were also issues with timing and I think as they DJ more weddings they will learn that they cannot plan every moment of the night, because weddings have changes and things happen that you need to adapt to. I do hope the DJ and his assistant either work on their professional relationship or go their separate ways, since there were things we didn't appreciate about her and there seemed to be a lot of tension between the two of them. After the wedding, the bride's mother spoke with the DJ and they did their best to make amends after the wedding because of the problems that happened. He was very apologetic and assured us that he would improve. I would also encourage them to not only get to know the couple whose wedding they are the DJ for, but also to work within the wishes of the bride and groom instead of insisting things be done their way.

As a bride, Tommy Gatz Entertainment was a dream come true. They are a one stop shop for the most important aspects of your wedding with the highest quality in all areas. They were professional, courteous, and catered to all of our needs. We received so many compliments after the wedding regarding the up lighting and have even been asked by many to provide them with the D.J. information. They even assist the couple in planning the itinerary and were available to attend other meetings in order to make sure everything went smoothly. The photographers and cinematographers went above and beyond to make sure that they captured the entire day. They truly cared that our day was perfect and it was!

Picking Tommy Gatz Entertainment for my wedding entertainment was the best decision I made next to saying "yes" to my hubby. Tommy, Valerie, Rachel and all the TGE crew exceeded all of our expectations. I wish we could do it all over again. They helped make our day the best day ever! They are the best of the best. Any and every problem we ran into, Valerie had a solution. Any request we had, Tommy could do it. They work with any crazy schedule. At one point my priest was no longer available that day to marry us and our wedding venue coordinator had quit the venue that same week. I called Valerie almost in tears. She worked with my venue, my church and even my photographer. There was literally no wedding drama. I cannot say enough good things about the team at Tommy Gatz Entertainment. Very personable and productive. We were treated like family. They even helped me by assigning me their wedding coordinator(Rachel was wonderful). No bridezilla will be let down. I recommend doing the Cinematography video. I have watched our video countless times. I think about that day all the time. After we showed our video to friends, everyone commented, " I wish we had done a video for our wedding". I'm so glad we did! No complaints or improvements. TGE has it together. Look no further. Tommy and Valerie were amazing to work with! From the start, planning a wedding on the opposite side of the country can be difficult but they ensured that everything on our wedding day would be perfect and it was! We used Tommy Gatz Entertainment for our DJ, lighting and day of event coordinator. After doing some research on DJ's in the Annapolis area and after following Tommy on Instagram and Facebook, I knew he was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. We even got a private session at their office were they have a booth set up, after hearing him in person, it sealed the deal! His work is seriously the BEST! I cannot tell you how many compliments we got from our wedding guest that they had the best time and that the music was perfect!! The dance floor was packed the whole night! Tommy did not play one song I didn't like! I even had a special request for a 90's compilation and it was one of my favorite parts of the night! We also used their light package and it completely transformed our venue! Tommy and Valerie worked very hard with us to find the perfect light color to use for our wedding. As our day of coordinator, Valerie worked with us and the venue to make sure everything was just how we planned. It was absolutely perfect! We would 100% recommend Tommy Gatz Entertainment! My wife tells me that I'm terrible about getting out of my own way and that I need to stop micromanaging... she's right (I don't tell her that but she is). I think I was more involved in the details of our wedding than any other friend or family member of mine, If you asked I could tell you the exact color of our dinner linens (champagne and persimmon lol) and every song on our 'must and don't' playlists were. My wife found Tommy Gatz Entertainment and after some serious hand holding I gave way to Tommy's team of experienced professionals against my will. Lauren (the wife) really had to talk me down from the ledge but, clearly this is why I married her, because she was right. Ok, I admitted she's right! Tommy's team was punctual, efficient, knowledgable and customer oriented like none other. There wasn't one moment I had to worry about what was going on because they anticipated every flux in the crowd, gave way to toasts on time and never skipped a beat (pun intended). As a groom, I feel that Tommy Gatz Entertainment was the perfect fit for our wedding. I first noticed Tommy on Black Friday in 2012 when he had all of the shoppers in Nordstrom's dancing around in the store. That is hard to do!!! Tommy and his team were so wonderful to work with. Not only are they extremely talented, but they hold themselves to the highest professional and ethical standards. They attended every meeting and knew every detail of the wedding. The most impressive thing, in my opinion, was that at some of the most pivotal times during the wedding day Tommy's team was at their best... pictures during crunch time after the ceremony, mixing of songs during the reception, keeping everything on schedule, etc. We never had to worry!!! October 1st 2016 will be a date I will remember for the rest of my life. My name is Eddie Conway I am the owner of Garry’s Grill & Catering in Severna Park. In my years of catering I have worked alongside many different DJs, and wedding planners. Therefore choosing one for our day was a tough task. I can say without a doubt choosing Tommy Gatz Entertainment and his staff was the best decision Allison and I made for our wedding. From the first sit down with Tommy and Valerie they showed the utmost professionalism. They made Allison and I feel like we were family. Every bride and groom going through the “wedding process” knows how stressful it can be. Finding a purveyor that can relive just a little bit of that stress is an incredible partner to have on your side. Here is Allison and my back story; We were supposed to be married October 1st 2016 at the Winery at Elk Manor in Northeast MD. The gentleman who ran the winery took our money along with 20 other brides and grooms, closed down due to being charged with money laundering and tax evasion. This all happened July 1st 2016 giving Allison and I 60 days to find a new venue. With that venue a wedding planner was to come with the day of planning. We went to Tommy and Valerie to explain the situation. Without missing a beat Valerie stepped up, took the reins, and helped us plan the whole wedding. Her and Tommy came out to our new venue (a back yard with little power) and plotted the whole thing out. We went in to their office showing zero nerves but screaming on the inside and left that meeting calm as a cucumber. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people are late in general. My motto is the same as Vince Lombardi’s “To be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late, and to be late is to be forgotten.” Tommy and his Team were “on time” by an hour to ensure all lighting, sound, and photography were in place. I asked Tommy why they were so early. His response is something I remember, “I’m early to every event, you never know what could happen and you always have to be ready, by being early you plan for any mishaps and have time to fix them.” Did I mention it rained from morning to night and nothing missed a beat. Tommy’s Djing was absolutely catered to the crowd. He played every song Allison and I requested. My family being from New York, they know how to burn up a dance floor. He made sure that happened. Once everything was wrapped up Tommy sent us pictures and the video in 4 weeks! When you get married of course you want to see the photos and video to remember the greatest day of your life. We went to his office to watch the video, where Allison and I relived our night. It was perfect. Tommy wanted to make sure we had it before Thanksgiving so we could show our family and friends. It shows how much he really cares. A true testament of a professional is not being seen or heard during an event. This allows the guests of honor feel truly that, honored. I can say from the bottom of my heart that Tommy Gatz entertainment 100% made Allison and my wedding what it was and we could not have done it without the help of him and his team. My wife and I knew we were going to be doing the lion’s share of the planning for our Navy daughter’s wedding. Busy professional ourselves, we weren’t sure how that was going to work out. I knew that I just had to have Tommy Gatz Entertainment as my videographer when I was brought to tears while watching one of their wedding videos. They have a unique ability to capture the excitement and love encompassing a couple on their wedding day so that it becomes palpable to the viewer, and no other videographer I considered could match their talent. Working with Valerie, the coordinator, was amazing because she kept everyone on the same page and managed all of the potential problems that arose. Valerie is very knowledgeable and will help you make a realistic timeline for your wedding day that also allows you to achieve all of your goals for that day. She thinks about all of the little potential snags and helps you come up with solutions. Our final videos were incredible. As I had hoped, I could not stop crying. I am going to cherish these videos for years to come and can't wait to show them to my children and grandchildren one day.

Tommy....i am going to throw you 4 out of 5 with a helpful improvement tip. Everything at Dylan's gig was cool. The stage, equipment, presentation and flow. All good. Your failure occurred with your dancers. At no time did I see them actually engage in dancing with the kids. Of the 500 mitzvah I have attended or worked...they were the worst. They huddled in a circle of 3 and danced with themselves for 4 hours. In the end, that's on you. I wish you future success. You have the tools...lose the dancers.

From the start, planning a wedding on the opposite side of the country can be difficult but they ensured that everything on our wedding day would be perfect and it was! We used Tommy Gatz Entertainment for our DJ, lighting and day of event coordinator. After doing some research on DJ's in the Annapolis area and after following Tommy on Instagram and Facebook, I knew he was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. We even got a private session at their office were they have a booth set up, after hearing him in person, it sealed the deal! His work is seriously the BEST! I cannot tell you how many compliments we got from our wedding guest that they had the best time and that the music was perfect!! The dance floor was packed the whole night! Tommy did not play one song I didn't like! I even had a special request for a 90's compilation and it was one of my favorite parts of the night! We also used their light package and it completely transformed our venue! Tommy and Valerie worked very hard with us to find the perfect light color to use for our wedding. As our day of coordinator, Valerie worked with us and the venue to make sure everything was just how we planned. It was absolutely perfect! We would 100% recommend Tommy Gatz Entertainment! Tommy Gatz Entertainment provided everything we could ask for and more for our wedding. Valerie was awesome to work with in coordinating the events and really made it simple for us to plan the timeline of our wedding ceremony and reception. All of our guests had a wonderful time, with many telling us that it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding. From the moment you first meet them all the way through to the end of your event, they treat you like family. Unlike other companies where you are simply a number, they treat you as if your a member of their family, hugs included. When you need to ask them a question you always get a response. All meetings are conducted in person, not via telephone or chat or video conference but in person at their studio. The first meeting including meeting the founder, Tommy Gatz and Valerie his head coordinator who doubles as his mom as well. This is truly a family operation at its finest. Tommy asks you simple and fun questions about what type of music you like and then right there mixes stuff for you live so you get a feel for what they offer. Valerie, is top notch and so very clutch when its crunch time. If it was not for her, our wedding would most likely have run over and we would have lost precious moments towards the end. But she kept everything moving and even during the most stressful parts she was a cool as a cucumber. My wife and I would 100% recommend Tommy Gatz Entertainment for all your music needs.
