From the minute we stepped foot on this venue, til the last call at our wedding (11.04.17), we could have not asked for a better experience! This venue had everything we could ever ask for and Jill and Kurt were very responsive to all of our request, emails, and even late night text messages! Jackie, our Day of Coordinator, was amazing! She kept us all on point and took care of us all night long. We even had an issue with another vendor that night and Jackie went out of her way to contact that vendor to find out what happened. And then they arrived, she was there to greet them and transitioned them into the wedding. Thank you so much to everyone who made our wedding night very memorable! I highly recommend!!

On 7/7 we celebrated my daughter's 30th birthday in the Magnolia room. From the beginning of the planning, Mr. Cory Riffer and his staff including Jill, Terry and Ashley to name a few were very supportive. We had beautiful weather on that day. Our guests raved about the great taste of the appetizers and the main meal including the delicious salad! Our maitre'd (Ashley) made sure everything was just perfect; the staff even helped us to decorate. The only minor issue was the parking. There was a large wedding in the opposite room (Holly) starting one hour before our event. The guests were all parking in front of the Magnolia. These guests apparently were not clear on where to go because a good number of them kept coming in to our venue the first 2 hours. A parking attendant could have helped but we directed them. :) There were also a lot of children at the other event that decided to play and run around on the grounds behind our event with no adult supervision- but Bleues had nothing to do with that. An unforgettable day! Would highly recommend and have another event there.

Amazing place. My wife and I got married here about a week ago and we are absolutely happy to have chosen Bleus on the water as our venue. The view was cool, food was amazing, and the staff was super friendly. S/O to Jill Gordon for hooking us up with everything and making our wedding day the best day of our lives. Also, huge S/O to Ashly for being such a good coordinator and making sure that my wife and I had a great time. Last but not least S/O to the person that made the food, man was it good. Thank you. Highly recommend this place.

The owner was very rude and judgemental of what I wanted for my food. He questioned why I was even looking at his venue and asked if I wanted my food on paper plates with plastic forks. Needless to say, I got up and walked out. Won’t be returning.

The most beautiful with the best atmosphere in Maryland. The food was great with a good variety of everything. The staff was attentive, courteous and pleasant. I was there a couple of different times when they had a band and a DJ. Both played good music and everyone danced.The inside was beautifully decorated each time by someone with creativity. Being on the water with all that room outside make it very relaxing. A great place to party and be with family and friends.

My husband and I recently had our wedding at Bleue's on the Water on 9/14/17. (Thursday evening) our wedding day was so special. The venue views are spectacular!! We had our ceremony in the pavillion. The view of the water was so perfect. My husband and I are so pleased with the level of excellent customer service we received. Not just on our wedding day but throughout the entire wedding planning process. They make you feel more like family than a client/customer. I can honestly say I would not have wanted to have our wedding anywhere else other than with the Bleue's family. I have to send a special thank you to the owner Tom. You are truly an amazing person. I am so thankful to have met you. To Kurt my wedding coordinator thank you so much for all of your help. From your knowledge and the level of passion you have for what you do is impeccable! My husband and I recently got married here a month ago, and we could not be more happy that we chose this venue over all the others!!! Kurt was amazing and the entire staff was great as well! The Bridal Suite was beautiful and clean and the staff kept the food and drinks flowing when in need. Jackie was a great MC and kept the party going alongside our DJ. From the start, all of our questions were always answered and we were always able to get in contact with someone. The communication was on point and it showed through our wedding. Our guests raved about the food, the beautiful location and the wonderful staff. We will be recommending Bleue's to all of our family and friends!

We went in to sign our contract and they forgot who we were doubled the prices and suggested we sign up for a credit card to pay for the difference . This happened because they were over booking and preferred to give the date to a party that can pay more ! Very poor management .

I was recently best man at a wedding at BOTW. I tagged along with the bride and groom as they met with Kurt to tour the venue, then to select food (which was awesome and delicious; get the cauliflower!). Rehearsal was great. Jackie knows her stuff forward and backward, and she and her staff will make sure everything goes great. I didn't have much to take care of. Kurt knew multiple DJs and photographers which the couple selected from (Ahmad is a great DJ/officiant!). Definitely give this place a look. Totally worth it.

I had my sister's Bridal shower here and the venue is absolutely stunning! I would highly recommend any bride to have their wedding or any event here. Food was great, price was reasonable. Ask for Jackie Ridge she was an amazing coordinator and made sure everything was on schedule. I wish this place existed when I got married because I would of had my wedding here!

Where to start? After we booked the venue, it became increasingly difficult to receive email responses. We became quite frustrated trying to get answers to our questions. A lot of the times, the answers were quite vague. After being promised that we would be able to get into the wedding suite early so we could do our first look pictures, when we showed up to the venue, they made us wait to get in because they weren't finished vacuuming, which put us a little behind and added stress on me. The day-of coordinator seemed to forget that it was my big day, since she complained to me about my guests and my DJ. We had a premium open bar (we had a lot of Russians at the wedding and we know how they drink) and were supposed to have 2 bartenders. Only 1 showed up & they didn't get a replacement. The one that showed up was friendly and did a good job, but there was almost consistently a line to get a drink (which actually put our introductions at the reception behind since the people that had been waiting in line didn't want to sit and lose their place in line & have to wait in another long line later). On the plus side, all of our guests complimented the food. At the end of the day, I was disappointed with the service and wished we had gone with another venue.

Our grandson and his fiance' found Bleues , and booked their wedding. It was was outside, next to the river- This is a very scenic venue . Though the facility is not lavish, more like simple, it is an excellent venue for a wedding Everyone on staff was very helpful and pleasant. We had an officiator who doubled as a DJ after dinner, where there was dancing. THAT MAN WAS GREAT!!

I had my wedding at Bleues on the Water on June 29th 2018. The venue was absolutely Beautiful. The staff were friendly. However, it was 91 degrees on the day of my wedding that there was NO Air in the bridal/groom suite. Bleues on the water provided us with 2 fans (which did nothing but recirculate hot air). We lost out on 2 hours of footage from our photographer/Videographer due to the excessive heat ( It was too hot to put on any clothing so we could not film/shoot photos). Family members had to run out and purchase additional fans since bleues on the water only had 2. I had to get dressed while one person held a fan in front and another held a fan in back of me. It was a MISERABLE 2 hours between arrival and the ceremony beginning. My wedding party was very upset and I felt helpless. Our makeup was running off and we had to pay additional money to have makeup redone which was not a part of the plan or budget for that day. Also, at the signing of the contract, we specified that the ONLY vodka that the groom drinks is Ciroc and we were assured that Ciroc would be available. There were only 2 bottles of Ciroc at the bar both of which were gone by the time we finished taking photos. My now husband was not able to take advantage of the open bar that we paid for.

Set up an appointment to view this location for our wedding (emails to prove it was confirmed) the coordinator never showed up! I will save her the embarrassment and not list her name. I emailed her and she told me she was at their location on Ritchie Hwy and that we could drive to her to view that location. If i wanted that location I would have booked the tour there. She made zero attempt to make her mistake right. Since we were already at Bleues on the Water we decided to walk around outside to see if we likes the place ( still could not tour the inside). Disappointment is an understatement. The pictures online are so pretty but in person, no flowers, bushes growing wild, light fixtures missing, fences falling over, etc no up keep at all! I will happily spend my money somewhere else.

Finally in September I called and was told that Mindy no longer worked there and that trayce is my new coordinator. I felt angry no one had called me to let me know but thought since I had booked far in advance I had plenty of time to meet with the new coordinator. Trayce is HORRIBLE WITH A CAPITAL H. I called in nov to introduce myself and to ensure that what Mindy promised me would still be accurate (being it was the reason we booked) and she rudely tells me that my wedding isn't until May and that she's not going to discuss anything with me until after the new year. There were questions my other vendors needed answered that i wasnt allowed to get answered and it made things complicates and stressful to say the least. Finally Feb came around and i called back A lot of the times, the answers were quite vague. The meetings were scheduled with her and then rushed like I was taking up too much of her time. I didn't feel like the client I felt like a burdon and she didn't make me feel important she made it feel she was only there for the paycheck. Dropping that amount of money you would want to feel secure they have your best at heart but she made it known she didnt care. During our final appointment which we had booked she asked to meet at la Fontainebleau instead of bleues because she scheduled another client too close to my appt time and it would interfere. She was supposed to go over all of the items but couldn't so she told us just to bring it and drop it off and they will make do. We were so upset because this day was going to be the most important day and she wasn't doing her part. We went to the car thought about it and walked right back in frustrated with what we had been told. Meanwhile her next customer was there and so we talked to the office receptionist who had no idea how to help until our day of coordinator Ashley overheard what we were concerned about. THANK GOD ASHLEY WAS THERE TO SAVE THE DAY! not only did Ashley make time to go over the details with us but she made sure the entire wedding day went perfectly smooth. Ashley, our Day of Coordinator, was amazing! Ashley and David were the only people that i dealt with at bleues and lafontaine that knows what they are doing and they do it well. Ashley made me feel at ease THE DAY BEFORE THE REHEARSAL since i still had questions that trayce wouldnt answer.We even had an issue with trayce being able to meet up with us to deliver the decorations the day before and Ashley stepped right up and arranged to be there since that night. Julie (part of the staff) was helpful when she stayed to change all of the napkins since at the final appointment we had wrote up how our decor was supposed to go on the table but it was a good thing we seen it set up the rehearsal night or we would have been disappointed. David made the rehearsal go very smooth and answered all questions we had about the wedding day procedures. As for the wedding day, everything looked beautiful! The Bridal Suite was big and clean and the staff kept the food and drinks coming when we needed it. Everything was just how i wanted it and Ashley and the staff kept us all on point and took care of us all night long. The only thing I wished would have been different about the wedding is to serve both flavors of cake at the same time instead of one at a time. That is just a minor detail though, everyone expressed how beautiful our wedding was and how amazing the food was. Thank you so much to everyone who made our wedding night very memorable! I highly recommend this place as long as you dont get trayce as your coordinator.

The only reason I gave this place one star is because I couldn't do 0 stars. My friends and I went to Brunch here on 8/4/19. It was advertised as a bottomless mimosas and breakfast buffet from 11 to 3. We arrived at 1245 to be told that the mimosas stopped at 1. Then they were out of waffles and bacon already at 1245! And stated that they would not be providing more. So after multiple complaints to a manager from several guests, the mimosas were flowing... until the mean balding bartender took the container in the kitchen so nobody could have more! They went to the store to buy more mix for waffles and had them going again, no hair net though! I will never be back here and I cant wait to copy and paste this and post it everywhere. Nobody should be short changed like this for $35 per person. WILL NEVER BE BACK!

Right on the lake and easy to get, yet also secluded as well. We had a blast!!! O also the food was so gooood, granted the wouldn't let us take the crab cakes home with us... lol, but yeah 10/10.

i was proud to be a groomsmen in a friends wedding here. i have been to many venues but this one in particular has really got me stunned. the place is vast and bares a level of romanticism i have never encountered before. Jackie, the general manager and coordinator, is indeed, a wedding professional. she gave us advice on everything to ensure the day was perfect. the service, impeccable! i have not been to a venue where the food was actually note worthy. not only was our dinner beautifully presented, the tenderloin and crab cake was better than i have had in 5 star restaurants! this place turns your imagination into masses! these people are warm at heart, personable, and made my experience one i will never forget! i would definitely recommend this venue!

Went to the Crab and Shrimp feast at Altoona Beach on August 31st 2015, $50.00 per person. Being a crab feast I anticipated the crabs to be small but I did expect the rest of the menu to at least compensate. As anticipated the crabs were small but much to my dismay they were EMPTY, NO MEAT. Actually the worst crabs that I have ever had, and I have lived in Maryland all of my life and have been eating crabs as long as I can remember. These were the worst, and to top it all the food on the menu got progressively worse. The corn on the cob was hard as a rock actually uneatable. They served what I think was canola oil (not sure) in place of butter was definitely not butter. The shrimp were over cooked, seasoned poorly and the smallest shrimp that I have ever seen. The sausage, onions and green peppers were cold. The only things that were really palatable were the hot dogs, and you really can't mess up a hot dog. I will say though that the service people (waitresses) and the entertainment (Clay Hunt) were excellent. If it wasn't for the band we would have left within the first hour. Please take heed DO NOT, I warn again, DO NOT spend your money on any crab feast offered by La Fountain Bleue or Altoona Beach Bleues on the Water. Sorry for the poor review, but you get what you give.
