Lovely setting on the Penobscot. Picture perfect venue for weddings and events. The owners are a hard working family with pleasant staff. This is an ideal destination wedding location. The local florists outdid themselves too. The food was tasty, interesting and plentiful. I highly recommentd French's Point.

My husband and I had our dream wedding at French's Point last October. While it was our first (and last) time having our own wedding, we had many older friends and family that have been attending weddings for decades tell us it was the best wedding they had ever been a part of. The highlights from our wedding week at French's Point were: *The cottages on the property that we were able to rent so our loved ones could spend Wed-Sun with us and one another *The staff at French's Point. If I had to redo everything, I don't think I would have needed a wedding planner because they were so helpful and wonderful *The beautiful grounds and Estate. If you don't buy a single flower, no one will notice *The flexibility of the venue for different events. You can have lawn games, time at the fire pits, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, receptions, and more at different spots on the property As with everything in life, I would have liked to have spent less money, but compared to other venues we looked at French's Point was very reasonable and we had the time of our life, so we'd do it again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I got married here in July, and could not be more thankful we chose French's Point. From the very beginning to end, the owners and staff were exceptionally professional, organized, and available for suggestions, questions, and concerns. Most importantly, they are genuinely kind-hearted people who don't just run a business -- they clearly find joy in serving their clients. The venue itself is exactly as pictured -- views are breathtaking, property is beautifully maintained (by the entire family :) and is overall just... so peaceful. We rented the both the Farmhouse & Retreat for the weekend and all our guests couldn't stop raving about the accommodations, quality of service, and venue as a whole. We recommend without reservation!

There will never be enough words to describe how happy and satisfied we were with French’s Point (and Jessika & Nicole)! We found French’s Point in a magazine and just knew we had to set up a tour. From the second we walked into the venue we fell in love with it and couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. Jessika and Nicole were incredible to work with, they always made time to answer our questions, give us suggestions, and help turn our dream wedding into a reality. Nicole was our wedding coordinator and we cherished and valued the relationship - Nicole was attentive, polite, professional, accommodating, timely, and understanding. We had both our rehershal dinner and wedding at French’s Point. The venue is out of a dream - an exquisite estate right on the water offering a private and secluded setting - something that was very important to us. Our guests stayed at Beach Rose Farm House for the weekend, which was equally as beautiful. Our extended family members stayed at other houses located on or near the property, which was very convenient as everything was in walking distance once our guests arrived. Our wedding day is one we want to relive over and over again, in large part because of the location. We are so happy we chose French’s Point - beautiful, timeless and classy. It is unlike any other wedding venue. Every guest was blown away by the sheer and unique beauty and we continue to receive compliments daily!

Been here a couple times in my life so far, and each time, I'm amazed by the detail and beauty of the place. The staff is so nice and helpful for anything you might need. Its absolutely gorgeous in the winter when everything is lit up at night. My parents had their wedding here when it was Hersey Retreat, and I plan to have my wedding here as well. What's more, I live here in Stockton Springs, so I won't have to go very far now will I?

We had an amazing wedding weekend at French's Point. My favorite part was being able to have all of our closest family and friends on site with us in nearby cottages for the entire weekend so we had extra quality time with everyone. I had been nervous about the location being hard to get to because we had so many people coming from out of town, many of them from the west coast, but everyone raved about French's Point and used it as an opportunity to explore the Maine coast. I did find it confusing at times to keep track of what the facility provides versus what you are responsible for providing - but this is no fault of the staff. They were very helpful in answering all my questions and made sure things went off without a hitch!

Absolutely THE BEST place for a wedding or any event in New England. It has such a quaint, friendly, family feel to the property. The views are spectacular and there is nothing like the smell of the ocean air when walking out onto one of the many terraces. The owners and staff will do anything to make sure your event is nothing but the best possible stay. There are other venues in Maine for weddings and events, but nothing compares to the experience you will have at French’s Point.

French’s Point is more than a place to get married. My wife and I got married at French’s Point in May and we could not have chosen a better wedding venue. Our wedding guests continue to compliment us on how amazing the venue was and all that it offered to our guests. It is a place that evokes emotion in its guests because of the beauty of the Retreat House and Farm House properties, the size of the grounds with amazing landscaping throughout, and the incredible views it offers looking over the Penobscot Bay. The property itself also has a rich and interesting history that is worth asking about during a visit. French’s Point is a fun place to create memories with family and friends, but uniquely so with miles of walking/running trails, which all of my groomsmen and I took advantage of, a large beach-side fire pit, multiple indoor fireplaces in each home, spacious outdoor terraces, and indoor recreation/lounge rooms for games and activities. The feeling of the property invites you to relax and enjoy yourself, family, and friends, even when wedding plans require your attention. Possibly, what I enjoyed most about French’s Point, besides getting married, was how relaxed and peaceful I felt amongst all of the busy wedding weekend festivities. Part of this was due to the homey feeling of the property itself. Part of it was also due to peace of mind that comes with the amenities of the homes that can provide excellent backup plans in case of unforeseen circumstances. The most obvious reason for the incredible weekend was because of the owner, Jessika Brewer. Jessika is so accommodating, friendly, and professional. She will go out of her way to make sure that your weekend is successful, memorable, and that you feel like family when you walk in the door. Jessika is someone very special in the hearts of my wife and I. Just to further emphasize how wonderful Jessika and French’s Point are, my wife and I moved half way across the country so that my wife could be part of the team at French’s Point as the manger of the property. We wouldn’t have done so if we didn’t believe in the value of French’s Point as a wedding venue or if we thought Jessika had anything less than a heart of gold. Thank you for the unforgettable memories and the opportunity to experience our wedding at a venue second to none.
