When a waitress sticks a plastic shark in your drink you know you have come to an original place. I ordered the shark attack on a whim, it was actually very good. Still not sure what to do with the shark and mini-mermaids. Blackened Fish tacos were amazing just the right mix of savory and sweet. Regular menus ends at ten, but the hostess let me know as I walked up almost right on the hour. Friendly attentive service even after 10. Maybe being from California bias my judgement? Don’t forget the shark

Was here with a group of friends. We all had drinks and were sitting at a large table since we were a large group. Waitress came up and told us all to get up because she had to seat people at our table. We were never asked about food, menus, anything. Just tild, verbatim: "Y'all have to get up cuz I have people I need to seat here. So y'all need to get up."

We got married in Jackson Square on April 20, 2019. We had a toast with Absinthe at the Pirates Alley, complete with pirates. Then a second line, with a surrey, to a crawfish boil at Lucy's Retired Surfers' Bar and Restaurant. (We recommend all of the above, by the way.) The boil at Lucy's was awesome! We had use of the whole upstairs "attic", with balcony, perfect for bead throwing. We had use of our own private bathrooms, a full bar with bartender and the sound system. The crawfish, muffulettas, poblano pepper cheese grits, key lime pie minis...everything...was perfect. Jenna on the bar was awesome. Event manager, Britney, was super helpful all along the way. Highly recommended for your upcoming event!

We sat and waited for family for an hour without ordering our meals. While we had nachos and drinks and basically just took up space, our server continued to check on us but never rushed us. The fish sandwich was fantastic! My son got his fried and I got mine grilled. We were both very happy!

My family raved about their tacos, especially the blackened fish. The California club (valley girl club) was pretty good, complete with fresh avocado. My sweet tea was very very sweet (as it should be) so kudos for that. And I like how they used paper straws instead of plastic.

We are actually doing a surf safari of the Gulf coast and stopped in New Orleans for the food, history, architecture and apparently Hurricane Barry. When we saw the mention of Lucy's Retired Surfers Bar and Restaurant... We had to try it! Our server Chelsea was great!! We had the frozen margaritas with a side shot of gran mariner. We started with the ceviche with plantain chips and then the serious nachos with pulled pork. Everything was delicious and we loved the atmosphere of a surfers bar in the middle of a city not known for surfing. The staff was friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed our conversation with Chelsea. We definitely recommend this place if you visit NOLA!

It was an absolute treat to have lunch with our fur babies! Friendly service. Immediate bowl of ice cold water for our pugs and a dog treat. Love, love, love their dog menu. Joe enjoyed breakfast for lunch and I had a delicious club sandwich with avocado. All around a fabulous experience. Such a convenience when traveling with your fur babies.

Cool little spot, where we attended a rehearsal dinner. The second floor venue comfortably sat 50 with room for mischievous dancing. Down stairs seem cool and cavalier.

New York Bartender was rude and didnt even acknowledge anyone that was from the opposite team. I had to be attended by another bartender that was nice. The same Jerk change the channel and turn of the TV in the middle of the Atros game twice. Because of people like this u lost more than half of the costumers for that night. This isn't the kind of service that should be provided during big games.

If I could give negative stars I would. 1 bartender took our order, we told her we wanted 3 drinks and gave us only 2 and walked away. We called another bar tender over to help and he was extremely snarky and rude. Later when we were watching the Astros vs Yankees game, the same snarky bartender wearing a Yankees hat came over and turned the tv off while we were watching the game. Very disappointed in this bar. We definately would have celebrated the Astros win after at the bar but the rude treatment from the bartenders was a HUGE turn off.

If I could give a zero I would. The bartenders did not attended me until I yell at them. I ask for 3 drinks and recieved 2. After they "finished" serving me they girl left and ignore my friend. I saw another bartender and I had to yell at him too so I can get his attention. Which he didnt like and proceeded to mock me and my friend. One of the drinks tasted as if it there was no alcohol. The same Bartender turn off the TV during the astro games. If the bartenders dont like their job they should find something else to do.

We went here on Thursday, four days after they opened. It was a fun atmosphere and the staff was friendly. We went back on a Sunday for lunch. They were out of oysters but the manager gave us a free appetizer for the inconvenience. Very nice of her. I am rating it four stars only because we asked for a side of ranch and instead were brought 4 sides of tartar sauce, so we asked again and were brought another side of tartar sauce. We were finally brought the side of ranch when we were finished eating, by someone who wasn’t even our waiter. There just seems to be poor communication between the staff.

Went into Lucy's for happy hour. It was a relaxed atmosphere and the prices were great. I did not try any of their food, but the bartenders recommendations were right on. My fiance's choice was a frozen Tito's lemonade that hit the spot on a warm afternoon. I would for sure go back.

We happened upon this place while walking near our hotel...(Mercantile on S Peters) and what a find!! It just happened to be Taco Tuesday, AND happy hour, so we had margaritas (served with cute little mermaid figures) and all had tacos! My husband and I had Dragon Tuna Taco bc the server recommended, and they were our favorite! Soooo good. The blackened fish taco was superb too, and our friends loved the Pao Pao Shrimp Taco. We planned to come back for more, but ran out of time while in NOLA. Definitely stop...one of THE best meals we had while visiting! Pics to follow.

I got a large takeout order for several people and they missed an order of fish tacos. I called back to get it refunded and they said they would call back in a couple minutes because they were busy. An hour went by and I called back. The lady who took my order over the phone answered. She denied hearing the order of fish tacos, but when I ordered the food it was on speakerphone and everyone who I was ordering food for was listening. I even double checked to make sure that she got the order right, but she claims that me and my two friends are wrong. The food wasn’t that great, and this incident is why my review is a one star.

Always a good place to get a drink downtown in the CBD/WHD. The bartenders and waitstaff are friendly and generally accommodating. The food menu boasts bar favorite fare and the kitchen does a wonderful job in tasty preparation. I have always liked this place.

What an awesome place!! Delicious food, attentive service, awesome atmosphere, just a great place to go for literally any occasion. I had the bacon brie grilled chicken sandwich and WOW! DELICIOUS!! The chef knows what's she's been doing! We also got to sample a lot of appetizers, like calamari, nachos, sliders, and shrimp cerviche.. and EVERYTHING was phenomenal. There's nothing on the menu that's not good... I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.. just try it I promise you will love it and be back for more.

Asked for sour cream, no problem. 2nd cup of coffee I asked for Kaluha to be added. Cream for coffee is real, served in a jigger. Food was good, service was exceptional. It was lunch time. Haven't been there in years , glad I went.

What a nice surprise for our family this evening. Totally tasty fresh and had a kids menu (which isn't advertised from the street, but is totally kid friendly). And $4 margaritas! Plus, drinks come with a little mermaid which kept our kiddos entertained. Our waitress was super nice and she treated the kids to a hula hoop performance at the end of the dinner! My mom and I had the tuna and shrimp tacos and my other half had blackened chicken plate. The black beans were beautifully seasoned. The kids burger was handmade and not just a frozen thing. Overall, super happy campers!

Loved this place for some casual dining in New Orleans. Away from the craziness of Bourbon Street. This is a much more chilled and cool place to get some great seafood and drinks. Highly recommend the tuna. Also the place that does the famous Shark Attack and Flamingo cocktails

Your very welcome! I was down there all the way from the Great Upper Peninsula of Michigan on Saturday June 9th with a table of about 12. We had to wait about 45minutes for a table but it was well worth the wait . Your staff was fantastic and the food was spectacular, especially the grilled oysters. I think we had 4 dozen as appetizers besides our meals. I look forward to eating there again.

Came into Restaurant, wasn't Super Crowded around 2:45...Food arrived @ 3:40...Nachos, when they arrived the sides were on there & I asked for them to be without. MANAGER only wanted to remove 25% off of the bill...our fault, should have supported our business, others were served before us...New waitress was nice.

Must be a local place because it was packed on a Tuesday night not sure why, the wings were really good, but the server was rude (not to be confused with just busy), had to ask her a bunch of times for our stuff, then she would roll her eyes take forever to come back I was there well over an hour I asked for a water refill which she never came back to do. I would honestly just get my stuff to go. I didn't like the vibe at all
