Emily has been a God send for me in three weddings of my children. Emily and I were first acquainted seven years ago at my son's New Orleans destination wedding. My son and his fiance lived in NYC, the two moms were in Ohio and Emily was in New Orleans. She helped me orchestrate an incredible rehearsal dinner for 250 people at Mardi Gras World. It was the kick-off to an unforgettable weekend and flawless execution at every event. Fast forward six years and Emily and her team orchestrated another (albeit smaller) rehearsal dinner. She was able to take my vision and expand it beyond what I could have ever dreamed. I tend to like to be in control, but at such a distance it's difficult. I had no trouble deferring to Emily's ideas and aesthetic. She had such a grasp on what I wanted, I never worried about the outcome. So now here I am, one year later, finally the mother of the bride. After learning of my daughter's engagement, my first call was to Emily. This time we added another challenge as my daughter lives overseas. Emily and her team are involved in every aspect of this extravaganza! From the welcome party, to the wedding, to the reception, to the brunch, to the hotel reservations, to the music selection......I am forever grateful. There are some aspects where I'm taking a leap of faith and saying to myself "Emily's got it" - we can't be everywhere all the time, we have to rely on Emily. She keeps tabs on the budget and doesn't add anything without my input. She knows who to call and her network of professionals is top notch. There were/are times when I get a bit exasperated with my daughter, but Emily remains calm and is the perfect bridge between mother and daughter. It's obvious that this isn't her first rodeo. Emily has allowed me to enjoy this planning process with my daughter. I can't wait for the end result - I know it will be fabulous.
