DESCRIPTION

Here you will see all the information of people like you who are using the products and services of Fashioned Events (Event Planner) in Kansas.

Right now the firm has a score of 1.7 out of 5 and the score has been calculated on 6 reviews.

You must have seen that the average score it has is quite scarce, and it is based on quite a few scores, so the rating is quite reliable, although it doesn't have a sufficient quantity of evaluations to confer it absolute credibility.

As you know, we do not usually stop to set reviews when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

This Event Planner is included in the category of Wedding planner.

Again, completely like the two below. Hired Whitney after reading up on how skilled she was. She had won best wedding planner in Lawrence just last fall I believe. Paid her the $300 deposit. She had one meeting, seemed thrilled about getting things together, great ideas, etc, and then boom...nothing! No response to texts, calls, emails, or anything. She just ghosted everyone for FOUR months! Then all of the sudden some other event staff (thankfully), come into the picture, however, by this time, everything has been done. The replacement tried and tried but couldn’t get anything going through Whitney either. A complete flop. Yet, she has not offered to give back to deposit, no apology, no nothing. She is every brides worst nightmare come true. She made her website out to be this beautiful thing-when all it is is a facade. She wrote her own contract, yet didn’t follow one single thing in it herself. She owes brides their money back!

I don’t like to leave bad reviews for small businesses because I know they can negatively impact their reputation but I paid Fashioned Events a deposit for a Day-of-Coordinator and was ghosted by the business shortly thereafter. I got engaged in December and signed a contract with Ms. Juneau in March. After several months I couldn’t find a small venue that would book a year and a half in advance, so I started looking at places outside of Lawrence. I emailed Ms. Juneau about this. I was under so much pressure, that I started having painful migraines and I was paying for a wedding without any help (my fiancé is in school). Ms. Juneau knows my fiancé and I are living paycheck to paycheck and she was understanding of my concerns but took her time in responding. She said she would help find a venue, but this discussions never got off the ground. Not so much as a “Have you called or tried so-and-so?” Our original venue idea is not wheelchair accessible and will not book sooner than a year out. The contract I signed stated that a coordinator would do a walk-through of the venue but without a venue everything else was on hold. A backyard wedding is actually more of a hassle because I quickly learned that my small villa apartment would not accommodate 50 people and that I would have to rent tables, chairs, a tent, etc. for a reception. I was doing ALL of the footwork and in the meantime I was waiting for email responses from Whitney and her staff. I didn’t email every single day. I emailed once every two or three weeks. I emailed the person who was my designated coordinator that Ms. Juneau appointed, no response. I started to get desperate and eventually talked with my family out of state. I had been wedding planning entirely solo for four months at this point. The owner of a bridal boutique had at least one or two suggestions during a dress fitting (Cullinaria was one). In April I told Ms. Juneau that I was planning on having a small ceremony out of state and then throwing a post-wedding reception in town six months later and asked for her approval. No response. In May I emailed her again and said I needed her to be more responsive and she emailed me back the same day and said that she was appointing a new coordinator for the Day-of-Coordination and asked for my availability to have a meeting. I was understanding of her busy schedule and emailed days of the week when I would be free. No response. I waited until the end of the week and ultimately decided that I would have to seek help from a different coordinator entirely. Ms. Juneau to this day (June 22nd) has not responded since I gave her my availability for one out of three meetings as per the contract. I’ve moved my wedding to a different state where I can get help from family, have started paying a deposit for a brand new Bed and Breakfast that is in the process of building a wedding chapel, I’ve emailed florists, bakers, food venues, bought my dress, decided on a color scheme, a theme, sent out saves the dates, ordered samples of wedding invitations, scrapped my old invitation design that was set for October 2020, etc and no word from Fashioned Events. I sent an email last week asking for a refund of my deposit and told her that if I didn’t hear back from her I would have to dispute the charge for no services rendered. Do you think she responded? No, of course not. All I got was an email response that was an invoice of the deposit paid, which I already received. I’m sure Ms. Juneau had the best intentions when we had our initial appointment in January but somewhere along the line it seems that Ms. Juneau decided she didn’t care anymore. Not even to respond saying she would fix it. I still need help on my wedding day, as any bride would, and thankfully the owner of the B&B I’ve contracted with has been a huge help. She’s connected me with florists, bakers and answers all my emails and calls the same day, and usually within the same hour. She’s building a chapel, organizing events such as weddings and graduation parties, and shows enthusiasm for my wedding day. SOS, F.E.

Similar to another reviewer below, I don't like to leave bad reviews, but I feel I have to in this case. In November, I discovered Whitney's company and decided her views aligned with my own. I contacted her for my June 2019 wedding, and she got back to me. We Skyped, met in person in November and again in December, and I was feeling good about things. She had a lot of great ideas for a wedding that would be taking place in the middle of a field where we'd have to bring everything in. However, after our meeting in December she stopped responding to emails. I emailed her several times asking different things, etc. until I finally just had to pull the plug and move on to someone new so we could get on with planning our wedding. I sent her an email firing her, and I literally still have not heard back. We forfeited a deposit payment due to this. The lack of communication is exceedingly unprofessional, and I don't really understand the point of having this business if she's not actually going to work/communicate.

Whitney made our daughter's wedding a wonderful, stress-free day. Including her in our planning and the wedding weekend was the best decision we made! Whitney was quick to answer all our calls and emails. She gave us great suggestions on vendors and did all the coordination for deliveries the day of the wedding. Whitney and her assistant did all the set up so when we arrived everything was ready to go. It was so nice for us to be able to enjoy our day without worrying about deliveries or decorating. The night of the rehearsal and Whitney ran everything smoothly and calmly. The day of the ceremony she kept things running on time and in such a professional and relaxed manner. If you want a fun, joyful wedding day you should call Fashioned Events! You'll be glad you did.

DO NOT HIRE HER. I hired Whitney in October of 2018 for my wedding in September 2019. Everything started off great, she was very professional & fun and had a lot of great ideas for the wedding. First, she ghosted me once in November for a month because she had “kidney stones” and was hospitalized, which I understood. We talked through December & then she set up an appointment with a food catering company, which she said she was attending, told me she was on the way, we waited for 30 minutes for her to show and she never did, so we met without her. She messaged me finally saying she got caught up at work. Her last message to me was on January 15th, it is now August 5th and I haven’t heard A WORD from her since. So far I have paid her $400 and am demanding it back. My wedding is a month away & she has been little to no help to me & hasn’t fulfilled her end of her contract AT ALL. I would absolutely never recommend her. She owes me my money back ASAP & I won’t stop until I get a full refund for this joke of a business. Save your money & time & find someone else to help you on your special day!
