It was nice. It was the first time they did that event but I was impressed and would attend again if they have it again.

We used this space for our wedding. I loved the venue itself upon looking at it for less then 15 minutes. When our wedding day came we walked into the cleaning lady still there cleaning up throw up and stuff from the previous party the day before so we were behind automatically. We used her linen which she said would be washed and ready for us but it was not so she said well why don't you use the white linen instead? Simply because it was not part of our color scheme for our wedding. Also there were so many nats in the kitchen we had to keep the doors open for some time and it was horrible because we brought our own food. There were mice running around as well. We tried to contact her regarding the issues and she would not contact us back. I wouldn't use this place again.

The place is not totally eguipped to handle the functions. No event kitchen and no real bar area to speak of. The chairs are worn out and the ice machine didnt work. The owner was less than personable.

When we arrived the place was nice and cool then once everyone arrived it became extremely hot in there. When we called the owner to tell him as the cake I paid 550 for was ruined he said to make sure all of the doors are shut and we informed him they was and he needed to come take care of it and he never showed up. There was another party going on next door and they was hot as well even ended up calling the police. For 1,000 the air should of been fully functional. I don’t recommend this place at all

The Lotus Moments facility is an awesome place to hold an event. I attended an event there and found the staff genuine, caring and "on their game". The facility itself is lovely and the management was efficient and friendly.

If you are in the Des Moines area looking for a place to have your wedding and/or reception, perhaps a birthday party or anniversary party look no further then Lotus Moments. Beautiful Hardwood floors, perfect lighting for any occasion, plenty of bathrooms. The owners are wonderful people as are the staff.

Only giving it 1 star because I can’t do zero. This place is awful. Rented it for a family reunion today and no AC is not working and it reads a temp of 85F inside. Called the owner/manager several times and he refused to come in and hung up on us. Our music entertainment couldn’t play in this heat so we lost that money too. This is unsafe and violates the safe rental regulations so authorities had to be informed.

Due to the weather we had to find a place for the party a day before. So we called this man and he showed us the place, which is not very nice to say and the worst thing is that it came out a very strong smell of urine from the toilets. but it seems that we did not have another option, he said that we had to give him half the money and the other half the next day, so we gave him $400. The next day a friend told us we could do the party in his garage so call the man to ask how we could arrange it since I was not going to use the place obviously paying $800 for a place was out of my budget and I also knew that most likely, he would keep some of the money obviously. but what was my surprise that he did not want to return any of the money so he ended up keeping the $400.

Horrible venue AC doesn’t even work!!! After multiple attempts to get the owner to show up and try to fix the ac or even at LEAST Attempt to Make the situation better he hangs up the phone on us!!

Nice venue for events. Layoit inside is a bit odd, but it worked for the wedding I attended.

Good place to have an event. Went to a wedding reception here. Only thing that wasn't great, was that they made us stay outside until the exact time the event was supposed to start. There wasn't anything else going on before hand.
