Choosing IraandLucy was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. We used their 'Enhanced Day-Of Coordination' package. We were on a tight budget and struggled with the idea of spending money on something that we couldn't quite conceptualize, but felt very strongly about not wanting our friends and family to have to set up and take down our wedding. Once we met Victoria we realized why we needed her!! Always sweet and professional, she is an excellent problem solver and helped us with some major issues right off the bat. She would come over, check on us frequently, and took the time to get to know us. I literally want to frame the 'concept boards' she sent us - whenever the wedding seemed stressful I always would look at them because they reminded us of the important things we wanted, and looked like OUR wedding! On the wedding day, she and the team absolutely delivered. She shielded me from the chaos of a wind and rainstorm (for our outside reception) and the team actually ended up moving everything inside and back outside again when the weather cleared up. It was so much extra work for them and the whole team remained professional and on the ball the entire time. All the other vendors absolutely loved them. Victoria quietly and calmly presented us with options whenever something went wrong and we were able to enjoy every second of our wedding. If you are on the fence like we were, it was the best money we spent. I feel like we can't thank her enough and we have made a true friend! Despite being able to handle huge luxurious weddings, they also were able to meet us where we were at for our smaller, rustic wedding and never pushed our budget. In fact, Victoria suggested many ways for us to save money that we hadn't considered. I'm positive she went above and beyond for us multiple times, and don't want to make promises outside the packages offered, so I will just say if you have Victoria on your team, you will not regret it! I wish I got a picture with her on our wedding day!

Hiring Heidi and her team at Ira & Lucy was the best decision we made while planning our wedding! We had a remote wedding in McCall, Idaho at a venue where everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, had to be brought in from out of town through multiple vendors. Needless to say it was complicated, but Heidi managed it all with ease. Heidi and her staff completely transformed the space. I wanted an elegant but laid back outdoor wedding, and she brought all of my ideas to life and was able to create the unique vibe we were looking for. On the day of the wedding, we were able to relax and enjoy the day knowing that the Ira & Lucy team was keeping everything running smoothly, attending to guests needs, working with all of the vendors to keep the timeline, and handling any unexpected hiccups without us ever knowing about it! Where to even begin with Ira and Lucy! They were the very first decision that we made in planning our wedding, and also the best. We were lucky enough to work with Erin as our senior coordinator. Within planning a wedding, it is impossible that everything goes smoothly, but through the ups and downs, Erin walked alongside us and made sure we made the right decisions and that everything was going to work out perfectly for us. She spent so much time meeting with us, working tirelessly on our wedding, Facetime calls, vendor meetings, etc. and went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. She made sure that we left no stone unturned as we planned this day, so that the day of the wedding we would have nothing to worry about. She communicated with vendors and made sure everything was properly coordinated. She was simply amazing. I seriously cannot imagine what planning our wedding would have been like without Erin. We had some inclement weather forecasted for the day of the wedding, and Erin and Ira and Lucy helped us secure a tent last minute for the ceremony so that we could move forward with the outdoor ceremony we had hoped for. Erin didn’t even bat an eye when we had to make major changes to layouts just a few days before the ceremony, and made sure that every changed detail was still absolutely perfect. On the day of the wedding, everything was flawless. The venue looked like something out of a magazine, thanks to Erin's ability to take our vision and bring it to life. We did not have to worry about anything the whole day of the wedding, and were able to enjoy time with our bridal party, friends, family and each other. Having them there removed almost all stress we felt around our wedding day, and everything ran so smoothly. We have had countless family and friends tell us how amazing the wedding was, how well the timeline flowed, how beautiful everything looked…and it is all thanks to Ira and Lucy. Erin and her team were outstanding at executing every little detail we had planned. Having attended many weddings in the Boise area, I can confidently say that Ira and Lucy is the premier wedding planning/coordinating company in the area. We cannot even imagine having planned our wedding without the guidance and help of Ira and Lucy. It was the most valuable and important piece in bringing our dream wedding to life. If you choose Ira and Lucy to help you with your big day, you will not regret it.

It was a dream for me to get to attend this years first #ilmasterclass this week in Boise. I LOVED it! Heidi, Jonathon and the vendors chosen to speak were all incredibly approachable, honest, and passionate. As an event designer I am constantly trying to better my approach, my design eye and the way I introduce clients to our industry through my interactions with each of them. There's always so much to learn and while I love motivational speakers I'm five years into building my company and I wanted to get specific. Heidi pulled out contracts and went over key points line by line encouraging us to pay more attention to not just the pretty and fun aspects of our jobs but the brass tacks and strategy behind our brand. We touched upon; contracts, internal project management systems, website optimization, on-boarding processes; employee management; design shortcuts; styling time-savers; and social media (I feel like we touched on a little of everything!) I so admire that she did not hold back out of fear. I appreciate that this knowledge is hard-won and many who have struggled to obtain it would opt to not share. I can tell she genuinely wants this rising tide to raise all ships. What a beautiful place to teach others from. Those of us in attendance were totally spoiled not only with real and useful information but also delicious food, fun swag, and a lavish setting. The hard work will have to be mine to carry out from here and I feel like I'm not quite sure which changes or tweaks to implement first, but isn't that a great problem to have! My hope is to play with these new tools in my toolbox and track that progress. I'm hoping this masterclass will continue to be developed with a few more in-depth options for those of us who have already taken the foundational class. I know we've only skimmed the surface in terms of what there is to learn from this dynamic duo and I can't wait to see what the next chapter holds for all of us - you included! If you are in our industry and reading this investing in personal growth is 100% worth it. The investments you make in yourself and towards your personal growth as a business owner touch the lives of so many. What we do is hard and we all get a little burnt out at times. A well run class, workshop, or conference from someone you admire is a worthwhile investment. Sessions I'd love to see in the future: how to work with your spouse or "work wife" partnership in business - what to avoid and what to lean into; more break out sessions & structured learning with peer attendees; more hands on styling; flat lay workshop; tips for conflict resolution with clients / vendors; Deliverables how to pay attention to what you are promising and take steps to not overload; Building a smart production timelines (factors that come into play); Venue relationships how to court and maintain them. Floor planning tips and how to best practices in room layouts for event flow etc.. / also / opt ins post masterclass for online one-on-ones to dig deeper into the specifics and engage in accountability and follow-up post conference. ~ Cheers! Wow, where do I even begin with Ira + Lucy, and Victoria. When I was younger, I remember imagining what my wedding day would be like and how beautiful everything would look. It wasn’t until we got engaged and started talking about planning the wedding that reality hit me, and I wondered how I was going to be able to pull it all off. We weren’t having any luck finding a venue, when out of nowhere an old friend highly recommended Ira + Lucy to us and said that Heidi had been amazing to work with for their wedding a few years prior. I instantly went online to their website and was amazed! The first thing I saw were the beautiful farm tables they offer as rentals, and upon looking further into their portfolio I saw multiple weddings they had planned at a gorgeous venue called Still Water Hollow. I filled out the pre-consultation form and couldn’t believe that I heard a reply from Victoria the next day! She was so nice and arranged so we could meet up at Still Water Hollow to discuss wedding plans. Victoria was so kind and shared with me how excited she was about my ideas for a fall wedding, and from there the rest is history. After the meeting I knew we needed to book Ira + Lucy, and it’s honestly the best decision we could have ever made for our wedding. From the first day to the last, Victoria was able to take all my thoughts, ideas, and wants and turn them into reality. From the colors I wanted, to the flowers, the décor, the style, and the logistics she was able to make everything perfect. Another major concern I had with wedding planning was finding the right vendors, and that was absolutely no problem at all for Victoria. She works with many of these vendors quite often, so she was able to recommend who she thought would work best with us and to fit our budget. She not only helped with coordinating and scheduling, but was there with us for support at every single meeting whether it was about floral, a venue walk-though, food selections, or choosing a photographer. She was there for us this entire past year answering the countless number of questions and concerns that we had while planning. Victoria helped us to stay on track and organized every step of the way with weekly email updates and an awesome online planning tool. Then, to top it all off, Victoria and the Ira + Lucy team worked so hard the day of our wedding to make sure everything looked truly amazing. It made us so happy to know that on our wedding day our families and friends would be able to relax, have a good time, and enjoy the day without having to worry about setting things up in the morning or cleaning up at the end of the night. Hire a wedding planner. Just do it. Since Bry and I live in Denver, and our wedding was taking place in our home state of Idaho, we hired an Idaho based wedding planner named Heidi and her company's name is Ira & Lucy. Heidi was an angel sent from the heavens, let me tell you. My wedding probably would of taken place in a Zurcher's parking lot if it wasn't for her. I know what you're thinking, "Wedding planners are expensive" or "I'll just DIY my wedding" unless you are Martha freaking Stuart you cannot physically DIY an entire wedding, unless your guest count is around 10 people. Hiring a wedding planner was worth the money, seriously. And especially if you're getting married in a different state from which you reside.
