Emily made my dreams com true! Meeting her is one of the best things I'm blessed to have in this crazy year. If you love boho PNW wedding then she is your GIRL!! My husband and I eloped at courthouse in VA last September right before we moved across the country to Boise, Idaho, a pretty, mountains surrounded place I get to call home now. In April, we just decided to have a celebration/wedding wedding with our friends and family in this September, which only gave me 5 months to prepare! (My sister said I was crazy) I was beyond happy to find my photographer Maggie Grace, I fell in love with her works immediately and lucky enough to book her and find a great venue up in McCall! At first I thought I'd be able to do every planning diets by myself but I was miserable after contacting and booking a few vendors...that's when I knew I needed help! And I can't describe enough how lucky I was that Maggie's friend- Emily is available for my date and her works are just, AMAZING. I did not have to think twice and just went ahead to book her! (Best decision ever) We hit it off just within a few texts, had a blast at our first meeting and I wouldn't survive those months if it wasn't her. She guided me through the whole process, spent unlimited time sharing inspiration with me, calmed me down whenever I was panicked(typical bride am I right?). She's professional, considerate, sweet and laid back. I loved the vibe that it wasn't just a robotic business relationship, the work she's done was worth every penny and I got a friend in bonus.

Wow! I don’t know where to begin. In short, I would 1,000/10 recommend hiring Emily. Before hiring her, I was so stressed and overwhelmed planning my wedding from a state away. The moment I hired Emily, wedding planning became FUN. She understood exactly my vision and brought it to life. She helped me pull the design of the event together and make everything so pretty and cohesive. Not only that but she’s so kind and easy to work with. If any bride or groom is considering hiring her, don’t think twice, she is absolutely worth it and will make your special day flawless. Can’t thank Emily enough. I don't even know where to begin to thank Emily for working with us and for giving us the gift of such a beautiful and unique wedding. It was beyond anything we could have imagined. I found Emily Aitken Events via a Junebug Weddings Instagram post that featured a woodsy PNW wedding, and I'm so glad I reached out to her. We had scouted a lot of venues that were beyond our price range and she inspired us to do something different. Her style is so lovely and I just didn't realize at all the unique things you could do with a small, intimate wedding until I saw her work. I was mostly nervous about finding a good/budget-friendly venue, and that was easily remedied when Emily found us a beautiful property on the Skykomish River that was the perfect setting for us to celebrate with our families and friends. In general, I feel like the experience of planning our wedding was so much more laid-back than it could have been because we chose to work with Emily. She communicated with all of our vendors from start to finish of the process, set up a day-of timeline which was incredibly helpful, and she was on-site from before, during, and after the wedding to make sure everything ran smoothly. Even with a small group of 25 people- this was so appreciated. She gave us recommendations and ideas when we needed them, and was always there for any questions or help that was needed along the way. She is thoughtful and professional, and it was such a comfort to work with someone who knows all of the details that need to be considered. Lastly, Emily is a really lovely person to work with and I also enjoyed meeting her husband who was there to assist. Thank you so much again, Emily, for making our wedding so beautiful and memorable for us, our family, and our friends. :)

Emily has been an absolute lifesaver. Like many brides, I was sure I could tackle wedding planning on my own to save on some cost. A month out, I realized that the day of was going to be an absolute disaster without some help. Lucky for us, by some chance, she hadn't had an even already scheduled. From that day forward, she took over all of my vendor communication, planning, and even helped make sure all of my "vision" was cohesive, and even brought some pieces of her own to tie it all together. Our wedding day was simple and beautiful, flowed perfectly, and most importantly, went without a snag. We, as well as our family, were able to enjoy the day. Emily was an absolute pleasure to work with, incredibly organized, well connected in the wedding industry, and CALM. We can't recommend Emily enough for her hard work, and dedication to a beautiful stress free event. we felt like she was a friend by the end of the wedding, and will use her for any event in the future.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting a wedding planned and styled by Emily and it was such an amazing experience that I just had to get on here and say something about it. When I originally found out I would be working a wedding day with Emily, I was so excited because her work itself blew me away (I mean, come on...her work is beautiful!). But I was even more surprised when we started planning for the day. Not only did Emily go over and above helping lock down all the important details related to my job, she made photographing the day a breeze and was so easy to touch base with leading up to the day. She got back in touch with me quickly when I had any questions or concerns and was so thoughtful and heartfelt in all her responses. Watching her interact with our couple and go the extra mile to make their day stress free and enjoyable meant everything to me. As our couple was leaving the reception the groom told her how much everything she did meant to them, and how it was perfect beyond anything they could of imagined. I honestly believe this wedding was so enjoyable for them because of the amazing person she is and the great work she did. Her and her team were working behind the scenes the whole day to make sure we stayed on schedule all the while they were so fun to be around! In all the years I’ve been shooting weddings, I’ve never worked with a planner who was so organized, professional, fun, and who genuinely cared about the couple and their needs. Not only do I highly recommend Emily to anyone looking for a wedding planner, she is 100% going on the tippy top of my preferred vendors list!

I've struggled with this for a while now... but feel like I should say something. I am sure that Emily is great at planning elopements - and I know that she is a really sweet person! But as a wedding planner (we had about 135 guests) she unfortunately underwhelmed us. I think her specialty is elopements and instagram worthy table decor... but we needed someone to help us plan the wedding and be at 100% on the big day. Several days before our wedding she informed me that she was camping and would have limited cell service... Ok. Then three days before the wedding, my venue informed me we never got a liquor license. I wasn't able to reach Emily at all, even after 24 hours and I was panicking. Here I am, all my guests in town with events going on for the wedding, making phone calls to get stuff done. I figured during the wedding day is where she would really shine. Unfortunately I spent half my day running around trying to get it all done. The venue wasn't even all ready by the time guests started showing up!! I had several bridesmaids step in. She had all day but spent most of the day inside counting name tags, at an excruciatingly slow pace. I had quite a few people throughout the day and night who came up to me concerned that she wasn't getting everything done, wasn't taking authority, they couldn't find her, etc. Her assistant (her sister) didn't do much either. Ultimately, for the big day I was hoping for a type A gal who would hustle and make the day amazing. Although the day WAS amazing and I know she had a hand in that, she did not live up to our expectations at all. I feel bad writing this but have to be transparent for future brides.

Emily is a one of a kind coordinator. From the moment I hired her I knew she would put together something perfect for our big day. We live in Alabama and booked her for an elopement in the Grand Tetons. I let her do her magic and really let her come up with the perfect location, colors, style... she seriously made my wedding more than I could dream of. I love all the details she puts into her work. She made everything so easy so I could just show up and enjoy the day! Chris her husband was my officiant and is so genuine with his words. I wouldn’t have changed a thing and I’m so glad I hired Emily and trusted her for my wedding! Emily made our day so special for us and I’m so glad to have made a friendship with her and Chris!
