BEWARE!! PLEASE CHECK YELP REVIEWS FOR CURRENT REVIEWS OF THIS COMPANY as well! First off, I'd like to say that we were pleased with Jenna as a wedding coordinator. There was very little stress (even when we forgot our phones and missed calls/messages from Jenna and had to change our location last minute and Jenna came to the location to take us to the new beach.) We fully trusted Jenna and her suggestions. Jackie Cavallo was amazing! Great hair and make-up and very professional. We have no issues with the wedding coordination but unfortunately we are very unhappy with the quality of our photos that were provided by Maui Bliss photography and how we have been treated since voicing our concerns to Jenna and Ben. The photos of our special day were no where near the quality of the photos that we were shown by the website and samples that Jenna sent to us, that influenced our decision to choose Maui Bliss. I'm not sure if this was due to Jenna photographing instead of Ben, or not. (Ben had to leave to take care of their daughter) Also, we understand that everyone has bad or off days, however, a wedding day is an incredibly special day. That day can't be re-done. Our photos suffered from incredibly harsh lighting & shadows, lack of direction, poorly chosen angles/poses and were all around very amateur. We honestly have a handful that are "ok" and maybe one or two that we'd consider making a print of. When you decide to take up the business of coordinating and photographing weddings, it shouldn't be taken lightly. The wedding coordination and photography should place quality as a priority and we got the feeling that there may have been too much going on to really focus on quality. Too many clients and outside interferences. We also understand "island time" and that things move a little more slowly on the islands, however, the amount of time we waited to receive the photos we did (9 weeks), was a little unacceptable. With all of this being said, we made multiple attempts to try and resolve this with Jenna and Ben. My initial contact was very polite and understanding and simply asked if they could take some time to edit the photos as most were never touched and we were promised fully/professionally edited photos. After weeks of no reply, we finally get a reply with no apology and them stating that they're offended with our displeasure. After another email to them (that was actually pretty polite considering) they reply weeks later again and admit they didn't take the time they should have on our photos and that we would receive a second round of edits by the end of that week (that was in June) as well as our DVD of the ceremony we paid for by the end of July. Still have never received either of the items. A couple of weeks ago, we sent another email voicing our frustration of still not receiving what we were promised/and not so much of an email saying they were running behind schedule etc. and that we would no longer hold off on our review of their company. Today I hear back from Jenna and her response is filled with insults, she threatened us that if we didn't remove our review or give her a 3 or 4 star rating, she wouldn't be motivated to better our photos/dvd and that we'll be "waiting in line" to even receive them. Also, threatened to sue us for Libel/slander if we didn't remove our review. We responded that we wouldn't be removing our review and that we'd have an attorney look over our contract/communication we've had with them and have our attorney contact them. To which she made her fastest reply to any emails with more immature/unprofessional insults saying we couldn't even afford a maui wedding let alone could afford an attorney, etc. I have honestly never even heard of a business treating their customers in such a way. I am blown away. This all could have been resolved with a simple "we're sorry you're not happy, lets make it right." like most good business owners would do. Whatever you do, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

Jenna was such a joy to work with as she helped me coordinate everything over the past year. And Ivan was the perfect host - gracious and genuine - such a pleasure to be served by them! They were both persistent that we rent a tent for our venue and reception as a Plan B… & Luckily we took their advice! When the rain came suddenly in the evening we had a covered back up option! Ivan and his crew were swift to transfer the reception under the tent! All of your other advice was wonderful as well. Im grateful for such guidance and insight! When we decided to get married in Maui my fiancé' and I tried coordinating everything from San Diego. With our busy schedules it soon became overwhelming and we almost decided to just do it locally. I was fortunate enough to stumble upon Maui Wedding Planners site and when Ben responded promptly I put him in touch with my soon to be wife. Ben was extremely helpful in assisting us choose a venue for our reception, recommended florists, provided the most delicious wedding cake we've ever had and recommended several caterers that were excellent! We were kept informed all the time through emails and never had to worry about anything. Ben was so helpful and made sure everything was how we wanted with no stress at all. Thank you Maui Wedding Coordinators for helping us with our PERFECT DAY! To this day our friends and family that attended still talk about what a great time they had.
