Steve made our wedding day truly perfect; choosing Dream Weddings Hawaii was the best decision we made. My husband and I spent a good deal of time finding our perfect location, but when it came to finding a wedding planner, it seemed as though the typical planners didn't want to go anywhere outside of their set locations. Steve was more than happy to help us book the location, and kept in communication with us every step of the way. Steve and his officiant, Lawrence, understood that we are not religious, and we have deep respect and admiration for the Hawaiian wedding traditions and culture. The ceremony was perfect! It was what we had envisioned and so much more. Steve's photos came out fabulous, capturing both the beauty of the surroundings and emotions of the day. When we come back for our anniversary trip, we will be calling Steve to take our photos. Thank you again, Steve and Lawrence, for giving me the perfect wedding i've always dreamed of. I waited 50 years to get married, and I'm so glad i waited for the perfect man, in the perfect location...and you both made everything else absolutely perfect!

Our dream wedding came to reality! We have received multiple compliments on the gorgeous photos that were taken at Magic Island. Steve is very talented in his craft. From the day we booked him to the day that we landed on Oahu to the day of the wedding we kept in contact with Steve at all times with no worries. He was able to give us referrals for a cake and make up services as well. The business transaction was very much a “good faith” transaction from the deposit to balance payoff. Steven is absolutely amazing. There are not enough stars to give him. We were married September 7, 2019 and decided to go with Dream Weddings Hawaii because when we called we got straight forward answers. We never felt pressure to go with him like he was trying to push his services on us like other places, he even gave us information about what you really need for a beach wedding while we were on our search. We went with Steven because unlike any other place he treated us as people and not as a paycheck. His work is absolutely incredible, his prices are not over the top especially for what you get. He made our wedding amazing we never felt stressed or overwhelmed everything just flowed no matter the hiccups we had ( on our part not his).

I posted this review on Yelp, but I’m also posting it here for the Google-ers of the world. Our Hawaii wedding really was a dream! I was a bit worried about working with someone I'd never met from so far away to arrange such an important event, but it turned out that Steve is an awesome wedding planner in addition to his photography skills! We wanted a simple elopement ceremony for just the 2 of us, but only had a few weeks to plan for a July wedding, and Steve made it perfect. He helped us revise the plan a few times, was always quick to respond to my questions, and on the day of, he took care of everything. The only thing we had to do was get the license and then show up in our wedding attire. I was a bit self-conscious as I don’t wear much makeup and I was worried about looking overly made up, but when I saw the photos, I was both relieved and delighted. The photos are exactly what I’d hoped for - big skies, beautiful shots, showing just how happy we are. It was raining before the ceremony, and overcast at the beginning, and Steve wanted to get that perfect sunset shot for us, so he stuck around longer than planned after the ceremony to see if the sun would come out, and it paid off! People keep raving about the photos - one colleague actually said they were the most beautiful wedding photos she’d ever seen. I don't usually post reviews because services are so subjective and because I tend to be a perfectionist, but I highly recommend Steve to plan everything and produce the most beautiful photo package for your most important day. Many thanks to both Steve and Troy; we keep saying to each other how absolutely perfect our ceremony was for us. It was magical.

Our dream wedding was beautiful even though it started raining on us during the ceremony. I followed Dream Wedding Hawaii on facebook for months before I decided to hire Steve. I picked the location and Steve handled the rest. I loved the fact that he gave helpful hints to the bride about how to do a photoshoot and forewarned me not to get sunburned. Beautiful day location and pics. A day we will never forget. You will not be disappointed.

Just wanted to share that Steve is an amazing coordinator!! He helped us organize our minister and leis and everything was perfect. We literally did a 10-minute rehearsal with the bridal party, flower girls and ring bearer just before the ceremony, and the ceremony went so smoothly. He helped out with our ceremony playlist and all I had to do was tell him the order of the songs and when he would need to play them. The officiant, Kahu Lawrence Kidder, was so loving and he gave the ceremony such a personal touch and it just made everything so intimate and beautiful. Brides, if you’re anxious about planning a destination wedding from the mainland and you’re working with Steve, you don’t have to worry about a thing. He is such a pro at what he does and he will make the planning process so easy for you. He is affordable and sets realistic expectations for the day, and he really delivers what he promises. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful the ceremony was and we really do owe a big part of that to Steve and his team. We can’t thank Dream Weddings Hawaii enough - the day truly was a dream and we loved it so much.

Steven made it really simple and his packages make it really easy to choose depending on what you are after. The celebrant was the best as well. Everything about it was just how we wanted it. My husband and I eloped in Hawaii in April of 2018 on Magic Island. We decided THREE days beforehand and Steve was there through every step of the planning to ensure that we had an incredible experience. I was 6 months pregnant at the time and he even took some stunning maternity pictures at the same time. Steve was funny, professional, and polite. He had the files of our photos delivered less than a day and a half later! The wedding photos he took are one of my most cherished possessions. I even blew up my favorite and had it made as a canvas to hang above our bed! My husband and I are already talking about going back in a few years and hiring him to take family photos. Hire Steve Young, you won't regret it!

With 2 months to plan an elopment from Australia in Hawaii I was madly googling and found Steve's website and I just got good vibes from his straight to the point and chilled vibe. He replied promptly and made us feel at ease. We got married on September 16th 2019 and it was a perfect day. Steve was there early and he made us laugh and feel at ease. He had planned it so that all we had to do was turn up! No stress no worries and we just got to enjoy ourselves. The photos are beautiful and captured us perfectly as well as the gorgeous scenery. He does everything from photos, limo hire, arranged our wonder minister, he referred a very professional makeup artist who made me feel so glam. The photos are incredible and we think he is a superstar! Highly recommended :)

Dream Weddings Hawaii is a total dream! Steve Young is a master planner of weddings and really takes the time to get the details right for your special day. How do I know this, well he did it for me! I chose the leis and the location and he did the rest. All we had to do was show up ready to renew our vows. He brought Troy, our minister for our ceremony. Troy was kind and made our ceremony memorable and Steve captured the entire thing on this camera. The day of our renewal was very hot and humid. I was having difficulties and nearly passed out, but Steve was patient and caring. He captured the moments, emotions and memories beyond my dreams! If you are not using Dream Weddings Hawaii, you should be. He is the best and on your special day you deserve the best!

We found Steve online booked without asking many questions at all! I had my heart set on Bellows beach at Waimanalo. It was raining that day on that side of the island. He suggested Ko’Olina, I reluctantly said ok. It was beautiful, sunny & a great day on that side of the island!! We even asked him to Germaine’s Luau afterward. We had a great evening! Beautiful photos, he delivered to our VRBO we were staying at. It will be 10 years this Nov. we have been friends! You won’t regret his work, he is easy to work with. Trust him, heck he lives on the island we don’t, he knows all the best spots!!!

I am astounded! I am looking to renew my vows in Hawaii and found the owner of Dream Weddings Hawaii participating in some grade A cyberbullying of a past client. I can't link the website here but it's front page of the website. The idea that someone, whom to hire and trust, would turn around a deface a client by name and picture... would cyberbully over a dispute... is unthinkable. The details of the disagreement are inconsequential, the reaction is unprofessional and juvenile. I post this here as a PSA for anyone who is considering using this service. He seems a little unbalanced and clearly makes irrational choices.

Steve is AMAZING! My husband and I were married New Year's Eve 2015 and the whole experience was amazing! Steve went above and beyond, from the planning to the flowers to the service.. and after! He gave us a ride back to our hotel so we didn't have to catch a cab in a soaking wet 40 pound dress! Video and photos were even more amazing than you could imagine! People still think they were photoshopped and are shocked when I tell them they are not! I would recommend Steve over and over again if you are looking for a destination wedding. If we are lucky enough to come back to Honolulu for an anniversary, Steve is the only one to do my vow renewal! 5 stars just isn't enough!

We got married on July 5th 2018. It was excellent. We acquired Steve's services back in February. I called and spoke with him and after about an hour long conversation we were confident Steve was the right guy for the job.It felt really personable, and we received straight answers. Exactly what we wanted. On the wedding day we met Steve at the north shore. We were half an hour early and he was already there. We went over the plan which was simple, let's go to the beach. The minister arrived shortly. We all talked for a bit and then got down to business. The ceremony was perfect. Steve took pictures throughout as well as after. I could say they are good but they are better than good. They are excellent. You dont have to believe me, go look for yourself. Latest north shore wedding posted on the dreamweddingshawaii site. Everything went simple and if I didnt know what to where to or when too I just asked Steve and he would give me the low down. Our wedding went perfect even with a shower that started shortly after the ceremony. The pictures are outstanding and even had a rainbow. I recommend Steve 100%.

We initially used Steve when we got married, we arrived in Hawaii and thought we had everything set up, but with 5 days until the big day, I was starting from scratch. Found Steve on Facebook and he almost immediately returned my call. Told him what we wanted and we seriously only had to show up! He did EVERYTHING! My wedding was perfect. My pictures were amazing! The second time we used Steve was for our daughters 2 year pictures. We came from the other side of the island so he could take pictures of her where we got married. Steve was so patient and amazing with our completely uncooperative 2 year old. I don’t know how he did it, but we did get some pictures that almost resemble a smile, and you don’t see the tears, even though I can still hear the crying and screaming! Thank you Steve for always being amazing, prompt and professional. We will use you again!

Steve helped me plan a 10 year vow renewal. I live in Toronto, Canada so planning something as special as this (which was intended as the wedding I had always dreamed of) was quite the undertaking. It was very easy communicating with Steve. The conversations were light, humorous and casual. It didn’t feel overly business-like and I never felt like I was ‘just a customer’. The actual day ran absolutely smoothly. The location was perfectly selected for what I was hoping for, as well as the hired musician and Kahuna who performed the ceremony. Steve even went as far as selecting a beautiful lei (special to that season) rather than what was just available. If there’s anything I wish, it was that there was proof of the talented musician on the video that was compiled for us. I highly recommend putting your trust in Steve for delivering your special day or for getting honest answers about weddings in Hawaii. Disclaimer: Just not on Football Sundays or Superbowl.

If I could give Steven 10 stars I would! The process was painless and Steven was super easy going with planning and executing our special day. I think I changed my mind about the location at least a dozen times and Steven rolled with it each time. The beach was blissfully empty and serene. The photos were breathtakingly beautiful. I still continue to get comments on the photos I've printed. Steven captured every moment perfectly. We liked Steven so much, we booked him again for a wiki wiki photo shoot at Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens. Those pictures came out beautifully too. We actually turned one of the photos into a big canvas that hangs on our bedroom wall. The quality can't be beat. When we do make it back to Hawaii, we will definitely call on Steven for our vow renewal ceremony. It helps that Steven is an Eagles fan too :)

Steve at Dream Weddings Hawaii was so great to work with. I was leary trying to book a photographer for a beach wedding online. I am so glad I found Steve w/ Dream Weddings Hawaii. He is the best! You can pick a package or add additional items ala cart. This is great because you aren't forced to buy and pay for something you don't want or need. He remains in contact with you through the process and is always readily available if you have any questions. I definitely recommend using Dream Weddings! His pictures are so beautiful! Stay away from the ones that want you to line up on a crowded beach, buy unnecessary items you don't need, and overcharge you. Steve is so great to work with, I promise you won't be disappointed.
