We used DJ JJ for our wedding October 8, 2016 and had a super amazing time! The company was amazing to work with and really dialed into what we really liked for our special day! The Planning Forms Fonix Entertainment gave us to pick our music was really easy to use and having our Final Planning Meeting with JJ really put us at ease. Everyone at Fonix was always easy to get a hold of if it be via Phone, Email and even text. We are so happy we went with Fonix Entertainment for our wedding day that I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Wedding DJ! The professionalism and customer service was truly top notch!

DJ Travis was exactly who we needed for our wedding! We first saw him and Olivia (office manager and wedding coordinator) at a bridal convention and immediately went home to book them for our wedding. After watching videos of other DJs, I felt like a lot of DJs were either too hyped for the guests we had attending, or catered to a much younger crowd (teenagers and below). That was not the case with DJ Travis! His planning sheet was fun to fill out and let us mark exactly what songs we wanted for every part of the wedding processional/recessional, first dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc. etc. We also got to compile a list of songs we definitely wanted played at the wedding and songs that we definitely did NOT want played. Further, a list of group dances was provided to choose from! For every song we could write specific notes, versions, etc. and we even had a final planning meeting to go over all of the details. We even got to choose the level of which he interacted with guests or encouraged people to dance and more. Essentially, if you fill out the sheet, DJ Travis and Olivia will meet all your requests to the best of their abilities. They sure did for our wedding and we were extremely satisfied with our choice! A GIANT thank you to Olivia for being our wedding coordinator. We could not do it without her. I didn’t think it was possible for someone to be in 20 places at once, but she did it flawlessly and made sure that everyone knew what they were doing, when they were doing it, where and in what manner! She kept things moving and met ALL of our requests. She even had water and mints for us throughout the day. :) She made the day perfect! So thankful for both of them!

There isn’t even words to describe how terrible of an experience we had with DJ Fonix. He blamed my wedding planner as well, did not remember how to pronounce my wedding party’s names, did not even say hello to me, the bride, when he first saw me, and I can go on and on. The worst was that he did not even introduce the best man and maid of honor into the reception and was seen by guest yelling at my wedding planner - he was beyond terrible. So much drama and from a man himself. I’ve waited to post anything because I received a rather disturbing reaponse from him when I attempted to address these issues in writing after I addressed them in person. I would never recommend going with this DJ. I was happy with all of my other vendors.

We booked this company last minute because our original DJ backed out. There were several good reviews which is why we booked. While the planning process was easy and organized, I was disappointed with the services at the event. My husband and I taught a swing dance lesson during our reception, and we were rushed and interrupted several times by the DJ saying very loudly over the microphone “are you ready yet??” In the middle of the lesson! While I appreciate the attempt to stay on schedule, it’s okay to be a little flexible and there’s a nicer way to do it. The lesson was very special to us, and a way to bring guests into how we met. I also did not like her way of delivering instructions over the microphone. Her tone of voice sounded very harsh when giving directions to guests. There was also supposed to be open mic after the maid of honor and best man toasts, but she skipped right over that. This was expensive for the type of service we got.

Booking Fonix Entertainment was the best decision we made for our Day of Coordination! Our Wedding was 3 months ago but it's been stuck in my mind with how many times Olivia saved me on the Day of! I had chosen a Hair Stylist who wasn't truthful about her timeline of me getting my hair done. Somehow 12pm finished time turned to 3pm, the time I was supposed to walk down the aisle! Olivia was able to find someone the moment I called her crying and not only was Olivia's back up super professional, she did a better job than who I chose. My pictures before the Ceremony never happened but Olivia managed to get me to do a First Look with my husband and have us walk down the aisle on time! She also managed to get us extra time for our pictures after the Ceremony as well, so we ended up getting all the pictures we were hoping for and managed to work with all of the vendors to stay an additional 30 minutes at no extra cost to us so we can have some extra dance time as well. I couldn't have asked for a better Day of Coordinator, she was more like a Fairy Godmother making my day become a true dream!

The perfect package was hiring both DJ Travis/Fonix Entertainment AND Olivia Gilbert as the Day of Wedding Coordinator for our daughter's wedding. DJ Travis really grasped the couple's personalities and learned as much about what music they didn't want to play as what they did. DJ Travis also helped to build the excitement as the evening unfolded, playing softer, more romantic music so people could talk and eat, and then rocking the room when he invited everyone on to the dance floor! Regarding Olivia, I originally didn't think I needed a wedding coordinator. Oh was I wrong!! Olivia handled 1,000 unexpected things that occurred from difficulty with bustling the train on the bridal gown so the bride could dance at the reception to a broken zipper on the maid of honor's dress. She seamlessly kept us on a timeline without it feeling rushed or rigid. From the planning to the flawless execution of the day's events, Olivia calmly and efficiently handled everything so I could focus on participating in and enjoying our daughter's wedding day. Thank you to DJ Travis and Olivia! They're an unbeatable team.

The music not only catered to the whole crowd, but Travis kept the event lively and engaging for everyone! I received many compliments on the entertainment. Travis was a pleasure to work with and he made sure the entertainment side of the event went better than planned! A+ service!!

It goes without saying that Travis is a topnotch DJ. He did an excellent job managing the pace of our wedding reception and keeping everybody on the dance floor. What earns him and his team an excellent rating, though, is the guidance they offered well before we walked down the aisle. The online tool Fonix uses was a great help in thinking through our playlist and organizing our ceremony & reception, and Travis was always available for a quick call for song recommendations, day-of planning advice, and any other questions we could throw at him. If you want a wedding that your guests will remember, and you want it to go off without a hitch, skip the wedding planner and hire Fonix!

Travis was the DJ at my wedding 5 years ago. We had such a great time, we referred him to some friends getting married. About a year later, he performed their Wedding where once again we had a great time and I got the biggest hug ever for helping out! Last year, I recommended Travis to be the DJ for the company Holiday party. I was worried about the DJ since Travis wasn't available. The DJ on their team who came out, another stellar performance. Last Saturday, Travis was able to DJ our late Holiday party. It was perfect! He was the ice breaker with our CEO in town! And I never had to tell him what to play! I haven't written many reviews, but even a year after my wedding I still get angry when I think about DJ Travis. I had full confidence in his work through his communication prior..he reassured me on everything so I thought we were set. Prior to the ceremony I asked him to play a certain set of songs before the ceremony began, I overheard Adele (not in the list) and told other oddities were played. We then didn't have music for half of the cocktail hour because of a poorly communicated USB miscommunication, swore at my dad, didn't have requested music prepped, claimed he had limited time to set up (he had an hour between the ceremony and cocktail hour).. Then he skipped over my aunt to give a sentimental toast over dinner, didn't play our "must have" songs or would play strange versions of the song, didn't play our exit song, played songs we never heard of, didn't keep the dancing going, didn't play certain songs for events like the garter removal or by the wrong artist. Any time he came up to me it was with a problem or to hand me the BILL as the BRIDE when he knew I had a wedding planner there he needed to go through. He refused to speak with my parents or sister since only my name was on the contract even though i told him several times it was ok since they were paying for it. He was majorly unprofessional and rude, even commenting sarcasticly about my family on the microphone at the end. After spending thousands on his service for the evening the most I got after calling to complain and ask for compensation all I got was "well you should have canceled and been left with no music" and $100 back to my parents. Unbelievable. DO NOT USE THIS GUY. I doubt the venue will even have him back when they heard what happened.
