It's a beautiful venue, and it's going to have a big impact on revitalizing downtown Wilmington. I look forward to seeing a show there again. Also had a great time competing in Office trivia and definitley plan on doing that again. Hopefully there will be more punk and metal acts in the future and I'll be able to frequent this establishment more often.

Attended a concert here recently and had a great time. The bar is a little hard to get to prior to bands playing but starts to clear up once the crowds are drawn toward the stage. It's a nice quaint venue and they have a good beer selection.

Great venue. I took away a star for two reasons: the bass at times was so muddy, it had a distorted wobble effect anytime the bass player played a note below a low A; make sure you shift your weight from one foot to the other every three seconds or else you will be glued to the floor. I have never experienced such a sticky floor in my entire life.

Went for the Gasolina party and it was a great time! My friend and I got free tickets and the venue was cool and really spacious. Really love the Queen portraits featured throughout. Drinks are mid-priced and good. Love the staff, and the music selection was perfect (but the DJ's mix wasn't that great, which did make things less enjoyable). Overall though, I would definitely go back!

The Queen is a fun music venue in downtown Wilmington. You can pick up free tickets for certain shows right on the counter at the box office or on the promo table at an show. Check out the line up every month on the website. Order tickets online. VIP upgrades. Check out the Drag Show Brunch every other Sunday it is very entertaining and a fun thing to do with a group of people- they have packages for the drag show too- the queen and princess package. All ages and a diverse crowd.

This is a great venue for live music. All the seats are good. Only problem was the chatter from the bartenders in the back, which the drinkers saw as a plus. Saw Meshelle Ndegeochello do a cover of George Clinton's Atomic Dog...it doesn't get more funky than that!

My dad and I had an awesome time there seeing Clutch, Kingsnake, and Lionize. The employees are very helpful also. Since The Queen has been remodeled from an old venue with new and updated seating and equipment, the place has a lot of charm. I recommend going sometime for a great experience!

I had a smashing good time at the Queen, seeing 80s metal tribute bands. The vintage venue has an old-world appeal, coupled with an acoustic resonance that flatters the musicians and tittilates the discerning ear canals of the hoi polloi. The only fault I found was in the hall of queens, where stylized depictions of royalty festoon the walls. There was a glaring absence of Freddy Mercury, who is, after all, the king of all Queens. I feel he deserves pride of place and has earned a prominent place in the photographical parade of queens.

Went to a show Saturday night with my husband and 2 friends. We had a great time and the sound and lights were great. The venue and restrooms were clean. The staff was friendly. The only complaint I had was $12 for a beer! We'll just have to pregame a bit harder next time, but we'll definitely go here in the future for more shows!

Took a drive down from Jersey with my 8 year old son to see a show. Was pleasantly surprised on what a nice venue this was, since I had no idea what to expect. Parking was cheap across the street and I felt safe walking the block to the venue and standing outside with him. Acoustics were good. Didn't eat or drink but looked like a nice beer menu. Would make the trip here again if there was another show in my wheelhouse.

The Queen is a beautiful historic theater and the bands that play there are usually fairly good, if not amazing. Problem with the venue is some of their policies are outdated or not really in sync with the people that attend their shows. For example, we live in a free country. Let people leave and come back in. At the very least, let them leave during intermission and come back in. Not allowing people reentry is just terrible business practice. Also, the bar is serving expensive drinks, however, they provide you with no straws of any kind or napkins. When did that start? That's terrible! You're paying top prices for a drink and you don't even get a straw to use? The drink I happen to consume almost requires me to have a straw because I can't drink it without one. Some of these things need to be fixed. I don't think I'll be back because of it. Too annoying and I could do without the feeling of deprivation at the bar!

The show was great but food and service were terrible. We were one of the first to be seated and last to be served. Obviously they were running out of food , since our food was 1/2 the portions of the people seated next to us. They did comp us a drink but will not return to any show that has food offered . What a shame! The drag queens worked really hard to put on a great show. I was so disappointed. This was a mother’s day gift to my daughter and daughter in law!

This was my first time going to a show at this venue. The show was Astronoid, Tesseract, and Between the Buried and Me. The bands were amazing and I LOVE the place! The art work around the place is awesome. Parking was easy, cheap, and close. Only issue I had, which is my problem at most shows, drinks are too damn expensive, lol. Other than that, my husband and I had a great time!

I saw a concert with 3 bands. The sound was great for all of the bands. The floor area can hold approximately 250-300 people if crowded. There is seating at the upper level but I didn't make it up there so no comment as to the number or quality of the seats. There's a large, walk up bar at the back of the floor area that was staffed with 3 bartenders. There was a nice selection of beers, about 20 different brews, ranging from Miller Lite to unique IPA's. The style of the room is a purposefully aged and distressed old theater with life-sized paintings of famous singers adorning the walls, chandeliers, and ceiling-high curtains. Very cool venue! Catch a show if you can!

What a fantastic venue! I visited for the first time to see Gary Numan (with Nightmare Air opening) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I purchased the VIP balcony upgrade and we had our own hostess for the entire evening, not to mention actual seats. The stage was small but adequate and the audio was incredible to say the least. All of the staff with whom I interacted were courteous and professional. I hope to return again many times in the future for more amazing performances.

The only real place in Wilmington where you can consisently see wuality live music. They place is always jumping, and they have a variety of acts for everyone to have a choice of something you'd like to see. The only drawback is the parking, because you'll likely have to use a parking garage. However, if you live in Wilmington, it's not difficult to catch a bus or walk to it. Have a good time.

The Queen is a fun venue, but wear comfortable shoes- it's standing room only. The staff work well to get lines moving quickly. But, for being a music venue, I was disappointed by the sound quality. It was really hard to hear vocals at all, even after the performer asked for more mic. You could only hear the second vocalist on her high notes. Low and mid range were completely lost.

What a night!! Oh my it was so much fun, the staff was insanely nice and helpful. The drinks were good, food not so much but I didn't go there to eat so it won't effect my rating. The smaller size of the venue actually makes the event more fun, opposite of what I was thinking when we got inside and noticed how small it was. We managed to get right up in front of the stage, front row, for the same ticket prices! I will definitely be going back!

The Queen has several venues for performers. There is a large downstairs venue and a smaller one upstairs. The upstairs venue's men's toilet was out of service. The music sounded muddy and the vocals were hard to hear. The bar was poorly stocked and overpriced. I asked the bartender for the price difference between a 12 oz and 24 oz and he said "good question" and never told me, despite me being the only one at the bar. They had no hard ciders at all. The seating was good and I had fun, but that was mostly due to the great performers and friendly crowd.

It was my first time at The Queen tonight so I may not be the greatest person to reference when going here. However, tonight was a Foo Fighter, Green Day tribute concert and it was awesome. Its loud when you're attending a concert, you can bring your kids, theres a bar, location is great, there IS parking. I had a great time with really good people tonight and I will be going back when I get the chance.

Attended the Drag Diva Brunch on 1/13, it was a gift and I didn't know what to expect. Wow, it was a great show. The venue for this is a smaller room with stage, holding about 50 people around tables. The Divas move all around the audience and interact with everyone. The brunch menu was great, like chicken & waffles and a French Toast Hamburger. I think they were down a server because service was slow for drinks and food. It didn't detract from the show so 5 stars!!

Very nice venue... The show was very entertaining and energetic... I couldn't stop laughing, singing and chair dancing hahaha. The impersonators we're amazing... Was my first drag queen show, but the drinks and food for the drag queen brunch needs help... I would return though for another show. I just know we are going for food and drinks after the show. ☺️

1st time visit. Loved the location, parking was pretty good if you arrive early enough. Drink selections were good. Enjoyed the fact that you could sit down upstairs (for an additional fee). Would go again. Complaints would be the waitress should have mentioned that there is no food served and that the kitchen closes at the time the show starts. And yhe fact that the balcony seats should start at $20.

They book good bands, but the volume is cranked unnecessarily too loud. They charge too much for balcony seating. Ticket holders have to stand outside in long lines waiting to get searched & let in. They don't always honor the free tix they hand out. Expensive drinks. Not run as smoothly as previous management.

The music was great, Spokey Speaky, who celebrate Bob Marleys birthday every year. But the sound man caused some muffling of the music. Not sure if it was their sound man or the Queens. The new management is improving the interior decor. Nice!

I love this venue. Intimate, funky vibe. Great shows. Things have changed since the shift to Live Nation as the management, but they have big names, cover bands, local artists - good prices and plenty of room to dance. One of my favorite places to go in Wilmington.

Nice place to see a show. It is a very old theatre that has been renovated. Leaving some of the walls and decorations in a distressed state. Very tall Hall so it didn't get hot like a lot of places do

I love the Queen as a place to see live music but hate the new vibe now that Live Nation has taken over. Why in God's name there's a giant picture of Taylor Swift and another one of Beyonce in the lobby now is beyond me. I go to the Queen to hear REAL music, not what's played on mainstream radio. Anyway- it's still a great venue, but the gold curtains and weird pictures of artists wearing "crowns" I could do without.

Overall I had a great time and will definitely be back. Seen an Amy Winehouse tribute by Remember Jones, which was better than expected (would also see that band anytime they're in town from now on). Got VIP seating near the stage which was good for seating but the table service was not really existent. Slightly better that "normal" selection at a music venue bar and they served food other than hot dogs.

Though it took some time for The Queen to get its act together (pun intended ;-) ), this venue, it's service, and offerings have continued to improve. There has been continuous improvements made to the building to enhance it better then ever before, and from what I understand, there are several major and minor projects still coming. Can't wait to see everything completed! LN taking over has really helped open up the music/concert scene in Wilmington. I've noticed that some of the bars and restaurants on Market Street are staying open longer or open more frequently now which is awesome to see! Keep it up, The Queen!

A really cool old building with lots of character. The sound in front of the stage was great and there is a full bar in the back of the room. There is balcony seating with the classic bulb shaped seating areas on each side of the stage. The bathrooms were updated and clean, especially for a concert venue. All in all this was a nice place to see a concert and i would gladly go back.

Went for the Peoples Festival. Got a bit lost inside with the floors, but great place for concerts. The bar service was great, there is paid seating available on the second floor. It was a great experience overall.
