Randy, Neka and Ken were more helpful and on top of things than i could have ever imagined. Food was amazing, glasses never empty. Our guests had a great time and we had an even better time. The Woodwinds were very detailed and attentive throughout the entire process. I couldn't speak higher of the staff and service we received the day of. We had an amazing day. The only reason I am giving a 4/5 is because there was a another wedding going on the day of our wedding on the other side of the venue. However, the ceremonies were taking place in the same spot. Either the first wedding (ours was the second of the day) was running behind schedule, or there was an issue with/lack of planning on the Woodwinds part, because our guests started arriving before the first wedding was even over, and our guests thought they missed our wedding! This was very stressful, as we were told when we booked our wedding that ours was the only one booked at the time for that day, and should there be a second wedding, the other couple would have to work around our schedule. This was clearly not the case. The first wedding went until at least 5:10 pm, and we were told that our guests could arrive as early as 5 pm for our 5:30 pm ceremony time. I would recommend verifying with the Woodwinds if there will be another ceremony taking place on the same day, so you can verify the times of the second wedding, and give yourself enough of a time cushion should the first wedding be running behind, and your wedding is the second of the day.

From start finish this experience was everything. I went to about 10 venues, and i either lliked nothing at all about those other places, or just 50%. I found this place through a person who attended a wedding there before, checked it out and fell in love. From the initial meet, to the actual day, the Woodwinds was everything i expected and more. I would get married every year here if I could. I loved, loved, LOVED this place. I am still overwhelmed about how PERFECT our day was. The Woodwinds supersede my expectations. Beautiful venue for weddings. My only complaint is there were 3 weddings at once when we first arrived it was very confusing and you could hear the other weddings music through the wall. The garden was a bit repetitive, a little variety in color wouldn't hurt. We had a great time and the staff was all helpful.

Amazing experience !! We had a large wedding with over 180 guests. Morning of wedding - it was raining and we were really concerned. The staff at Woodwinds did an great job of setting up chairs indoors and then during cocktail hour - broke down the chairs and set up all the tables. The staff was polite and always involved. Scott did a Great job of keeping things moving and keeping us informed. Thank You Woodwinds Staff for making the Wedding day for my daughter an amazing day !!

This place is beautiful. The staff was very nice and helpful. I was told by the bride it was reasonably priced compared to other locations. They are set up for an outdoor or indoor wedding, which can be decided on last minute, I believe as late as the day of. So no need to have separate plans for bad weather. The food which was served was delicious. They are very professional and know what they are doing.

This is the perfect spot if you want to be treated like a royalty for the duration of your event here. The place is classy and regal. You need to visit at night when there’s an event here to see the decorations and lighting. The service is super and the workers are courteous and responsive. I was here for my niece’s induction into Branford Hall of Fame and I was treated like a King that I am. I had my wedding here over the weekend and can’t even begin to express my appreciation for the wonderful staff who made my wedding so amazing. Whether it was bustling my dress or making sure my drink was never empty. Scott is of course amazing, he ensured my husband and I ate a full delicious meal, he kept me updated on the plans for the night, and even had a compact mirror so I could check my teeth after cutting the cake. This venue is phenomenal, my guests can’t stop talking about how delicious the food was and how gorgeous the atmosphere is!

Nicely landscaped grounds. Attended wedding on the site. Ceremony on lawn. Tastefully decorated interiors. Cocktail hour in foyer area of banquet room. Staff was well organized throughout the event. Hors d'oeuvres were all very good. Bartenders were very good...and quick! Dinner was served at buffet stations within the banquet room. Food was excellent. Dessert "bar" had amazing and delicious choices. Throughout the evening the staff assigned to the reception were constantly busy, attentive, and in communication with each other via ear pieces. It was a thoroughly enjoyable wedding reception. (Bride and her parents commented how wonderful staff was to work with...from the initial booking to the actual day.)

WOW! From the moment we arrived, Scott and Antoinella(spelling?) were on point every second! They perfectly orchestrated every second of our reception. The staff was courteous and and they worked in sync with the DJ, cake maker, flower people, everyone! He ensured we had a sampling of all food brought to our table to ensure we had time to eat. He helped us do meet and greets but also ensured we didn't get stuck at any one place! We could not have asked for more from the staff and people who helped us. If you are looking for a perfect reception venue, you need to go no further. We had a great patio area to enjoy the fall evening! The grounds were beautiful! The hall was perfectly decorated! Thank you all so much for giving us the perfect night!

I’d honestly had my heart set on a barn wedding when I first visited Woodwinds for a tour, and was a reluctant bride in the beginning. But after working with Woodwinds for over a year on planning my wedding reception there (ceremony was off-site,) and after finally getting married last Sunday, I cannot stress enough how incredibly thankful I am to everyone at Woodwinds. I have worked with Joanna, Marshall, and our wedding coordinators during the event were Scott and Antonella. Everyone I have worked with has blown me away, and my mom and my now-husband both rave about Scott. I visited plenty of venues in Connecticut while initially searching, but Woodwinds was the only place where I truly felt like they cared about me as a bride, not as a paycheck. Whereas one venue tried to charge me $1,000 to put up white Christmas light in their venue, Woodwinds gave me an amazing day at 1/3 the price of other venues, along with complimentary dinner at Café Allegre (sister restaurant) to taste the food, and a free stay at The Inn at Lafayette for my husband and I the night of our wedding. Everyone at Woodwinds has always made me feel like family, and Scott even said as much when he once met my mom during his day off: he said that he was there for my mom on his day off because he truly loved his job and he loved working at Woodwinds, and after 16 years there, this was his family. When I told our DJ (Powerstation Events, DJ Kevin) that our reception would be held at Woodwinds, he said that he and other vendors loved working there because the staff at Woodwinds were genuinely wonderful people who always treated their vendors well. Everything during our wedding was spectacular – the food, drinks, service, etc. was top notch. We received compliments throughout the night from guests who were blown away by Woodwinds, and my husband and I truly could not have asked for a better wedding experience. We are forever grateful to everyone at Woodwinds for giving us a day that we, our families, and our friends will cherish and remember forever.

I only researched other vendors because I didn't want guests to think I was just recreating my sister's wedding for myself. But from the minute we left our tour visit with Vanessa we knew we'd get married at The Woodwinds just as my sister did 4 years ago. Everything was above and beyond from the beginning. They were the only vendor we would've felt horrible saying "we've decided to go with someone else" to, mostly because they were extremely helpful, genuinely caring, and very accommodating. It certainly helped that we had already experienced a great wedding as guests! Pricing was well worth what you get and they made payments easy. I thought I had odd requests during drop off but Randy didn't bat an eye, nothing affected him and he made me feel like I wasn't as crazy as I sounded to myself. I truly can't put into words how magical our wedding night was. It was over 90 degrees, and we got married by the waterfall and had our reception in the beautiful garden room. My bridal attendant, Kim, fanned me while wearing long sleeves and long pants under the hot sun! Staff was waiting for us after the ceremony with cold towels, water, and appetizers. Kim made sure I didn't want for anything all night. She took my husband's tux jacket to clean a stain he didn't even notice. If my bridesmaids tried to help, she sent them away to enjoy themselves only after making sure they were taken care of as well. My guests haven't stopped raving about the delicious food, the phenomenal service, and the gorgeous grounds. We were all made to feel like royalty by Woodwinds. This was a wedding that won't soon be forgotten and a venue that should be number 1 on everyone's list.

The Woodwinds was my first choice when deciding on a venue. I am so happy we went with them. Not only were the grounds breathtaking but every single staff member made my husband and I so comfortable and CALM. I'm sure every bride wants their special day PERFECT and like me, I was so fixated on the details. But I didnt have to worry about a thing. The day of rehearsal when I went in the firefight room... I was blown away with emotions. Every single item was perfectly placed in the exact way I wanted. The staff pays such close attention to all the details I didnt have to stress out. Day of wedding the staff were right there for me. I had an incident where BOTH of my heels broke right when I was about to walk down the aisle. There was no time to panick.... those girls deserve awards for how calm they kept me... I made it down the aisle and right after, the staff was waiting with my back up shoes and a clean towel for my feet. Just amazing. Our whole experience from day one until wedding day was better than I could ever imagine. Food was Devine...still get comments about how DELICIOUS a month later. Vanessa and Randy.... no words how amazing you both are. Thank you for a beautiful Wedding
