Unfortunately, I can not agree with any 5 star reviews or good review I Do Events has received. Initially, we were excited, relieved and thankful for hiring Marisa for our day of coordination. However, as the days got closer the stress amped up and we were handed off to a different planner (who was amazing - thankfully!). We felt that the way things were handled were extremely unprofessional and as though we were more a burden. We made all of our needs evident in the first meeting. All of which were agreed upon in a contract yet we were bothered by unnecessary stress regarding these items. Days before our wedding we found out changes in our point of contact through another vendor, not through Marisa. We were given reasons as to why our wedding was being handed off, which we understood, but then days later photos and statuses were posted of weddings being worked and of upcoming events that are much larger than our wedding. I hate writing bad reviews, but I would hate for another bride to feel the stress my wife and I felt the last two weeks of our wedding planning process. To this day, we have not received any more of communication from Marisa to follow up on our wedding or the people she had do our day of coordination.

My husband and I are from South Carolina and decided to elope in Alaska. I found I do! Events (after having a lackluster coordinator experience with a different company) and immediately felt the love and passion Lorell had for making our special day exactly what we wanted! Lorell is so detail oriented and helped us every step of the way! There was no question too big or too small. I couldn’t have asked for a better coordinator!! We cannot express how much we recommend her - definitely 10 out of 10!

I DO events was THE WORST company i had ever dealt with. It seemed all sweet and gold at first. I thought me and my fiancee being in Illinois with our destination wedding in Arizona was going to be a piece of cake with marisa. I mean you hire a wedding planner to take care of all the wedding stress. Well marissa not only tried to talk me out of my off white color she also tried to portray a small church as an enormous accomplishment in a venue search for us. Well after paying her 600 of 4,000 i find out that the church barely will hold 50 people, she had planned my wedding as a turn around wedding in this small church. And she had lied to us about the cost of the church and the cost of the pastor. Well little did she realize that every decision i was conflicted with i asked my fiance friend, who was at one point an acquaintance of marisa. Well the friend had informed me that marisa was over charging us from what marisa had told my friend she would charge us. So me being me i send my other friend to figure out some stuff and directly from the pastors mouth he and the church was no where near what marisa was charging us. So i wrote a nice email relieving her from our wedding and asked for a refund. She first tried to keep half of my refund until my friends had to threaten to expose her for being a scammer. I would like to say thanks tho because without you trying to get over on us i never would have had the opportunity to book these 2 AMAZING venues for a fraction of the cost of what you were charging. I pray that you change your ways and learn how to grow a respectful business.
