Excellent experience! I called Current to fix a cable wire that had been accidentally cut in a previous renovation. (The cable company said it was too difficult for them to fix and recommended that I call an electrician.) I live in a 100+ year old building, with electrical / plumbing systems that are not always straightforward. They took the time to thoroughly investigate the issue, both inside and outside the building. We were surprised at how much the work cost given the fact that we provided all the light fixtures, outlets, and switches ourselves and the job took less than two hours to complete, but we realize labor costs for electrical work is on the high side. I contacted Current Electric to re-do an electrical problem that another electric company TOTALLY botched the job!! Current Electric has OUTSTANDING reviews and an A+ At the Better Business Bureau. All ratings are 5 Star ratings by individuals! Sean, the electrician sent by Current Electric did an EXCELLENT job. He was able to re-install an outside wall light fixture and put the junction box in the wall where it should have been whereas the other company pulled the wire to the outside and used an indoor round pancake junction box that didn’t fit and caused the fixture to not be flush to the wall ? I highly recommend this company !! And Sean the electrician did. GREAT job fixing the installation of the fixture !!!!

An ice storm had a limb take out the power to my garage. Joel gave me two estimates to fix my problem. One to do a fix to get by and one to completely redo the electrical service. The purpose for our garage has been changed over the years, I chose to go with the cheaper repair as we no longer use the furnace and air conditioner in the building. The repair was done in one afternoon and he arranged to have the Menomonee Falls inspector come out the same day. Very satisfied.

We were having issues with our generator simply displaying a "red light" and not running its' usual maintenance schedule. Went onto their website, chatting with a support rep. and had an appointment for the following week setup with in minutes. No hassle or difficult if we didn't know all the details such as model, serial, etc. Tech came out at the beginning of the appt. window, explained the entire generator to me from top to bottom, and went over our options for resolution. He determined the best route would be to do a full maintenance on the generator and replace the battery (which was 5 years into its' 5 year expected lifetime). He took the time to walk me through every question I had, no matter how stupid it may have been, and explain to me how everything worked. Since we "inherited" the generator when we bought the house, there were plenty of questions I had that couldn't be answered in a manual. Simply incredible service, attention to detail, and the price was far lower than I expected. Overall incredibly impressed with the company and we will be using them again for our future electrical needs.

Quick and professional service, but possibly overpriced. I paid over $700 for two electricians to install a bath fan and light switch in my master bath. No new wires needed to be run. This was just replacing one that I had removed. The two electricians, one named Mike, were great and explained what they were going to do and did so in just over an hour. They were awesome and I would recommend they do work again in my house. My only question is how much they charged for such an easy job and one that did not take that long. Lesson learned to get multiple quotes, but no doubting that Current Electric will do the job right.

Current Electric installed my solar panels. They came in and did quality workmanship. They had their guys on the roof installing the panels and other ones in the basement preparing for the inverter and connecting all the wiring and correcting anything that needed to be corrected. I was very impressed by the quality of work they did and how they kept the area clean after they were done. I really appreciated the recommendation of installing extra support beams in the attic to support the roof. Especially with all the extra snow that we received I would’ve been worried but now I have no concern I know the roof will hold. I would recommend this company for installing solar panels and basically any electrical work that needs to be done they know what they’re doing.

They responded quickly to my request to a quote, and we were able to arrange a visit for two weeks after the first contact. We ended up doing the visit a week earlier due to a schedule change. Both electricians came out - and both were thorough and able to explain/address any questions I had. They offered a fair price and were able to do the work on the spot. They were terrific in not just executing the work, but also showing after the fact the work they did - and perhaps most importantly, it was evident that they're passionate about their work and hold high standards. Joel got here and changed around our circuits as our furnace, fridge, televisions and certain parts of our home were not working. He informed me this was a problem with WE Energies and told me to call them. Well when he switched the circuits around we finally got heat from the furnace, (it was 57 in the house). He also got the fridge working and told me to call him after WE Energies had finished their work so he could come back and switch the circuits back to where they belonged. WE Energies came and had to install a whole new power cable to my home. They were really cool about it too. They had to climb up on my roof as well as attach the other end to the transformer on the pole in my backyard. Ok, Joel did an awesome job for us and didn't charge a penny even though he is the one who diagnosed the problem and did the work in the circuits so our furnace and fridge would come back on. Joel came back a couple of hours ago as he said he would and restored the circuits back to their original place. I can't say enough about Joel or Current Electric. This is such a great company. I'm glad I used Angie's List and Home Adviser to find this company.

Fixed it and educated me on how best to avoid tripping my switch. I had a new box from another provider that did not show the red color when the switch flips, which I am disappointed with, and he showed me that the switch didn't really flip fully, but half way, which is why i didn't think anything flipped. I had 3 small ceiling fans that needed to be installed and 4 outlets that needed to be checked. The ceiling fans I had purchased 2 myself and Sean brought us one more. We were charged over $1,700. When I told others, they said we got robbed. They are right!!! 15 minutes each fan took for instalation. The outlets changed took only a few minutes as well. We paid for the fact that he installed it that day and also checked our fuel box. Gave many great suggestions, Sean was extremely nice and thorough. I just feel that amount of money was crazy to pay. We paid for his experience and certification but way too much money spent for the work he did. I really felt the cost is extremely high. I wish I wasn't so eager to get it done. Current Electric installed my solar panels. They came in and did quality workmanship. They had their guys on the roof installing the panels and other ones in the basement preparing for the inverter and connecting all the wiring and correcting anything that needed to be corrected. I really appreciated the recommendation of installing extra support beams in the attic to support the roof. My ceiling fans were hooked up to dimmer switches and they informed me that was not good, as you dim the switch you dim the motor in the ceiling fan. I asked them to switch out 2 more dimmer switches and they gladly helped me with that. I don't think it took them an hour to complete the 4 light switch changes - Fast and friendly service. Background: I am admittedly picky and hard to please. Growing up an engineer's daughter, I learned early on to be a stickler for quality work. On Monday afternoon, I stopped in at Current Electric and spoke briefly with the person in charge (manager and/or owner). Since I'm not too far from their office, he said he could have someone swing by before the end of the week and take a look at the 7 exterior light fixtures I needed installed. Shortly after noon only two days later, I get a call asking if I'm free in the afternoon (which I was) for one of their electricians to come over. About 20 minutes later, after walking around the house and seeing the work, I'm signing a contract for what I consider a fair price. Almost as important as the cost, installation was to commence on the spot and was completed late that same afternoon. For over a week, I'd been on the phone and on Yelp calling no fewer than 11 electricians and handyman services trying to find anyone who was willing to even give me a quote. Of the other 10, only three had called back and only two of those were willing to give a specific day when someone could come out and provide a quote. The electrician Current Electric sent to my house was professional, hard working, friendly, and resourceful. His resourcefulness was crucial to his success. Of the 7 light fixtures, 3 were very tricky and much problem solving and tool skill was needed to complete the installations. My many questions and requests were also graciously handled to my satisfaction. I will be hiring this company again and highly recommend them.

The two techs did a good job of completing the tasks I had for them. I was fully satisfied with the work. I'm giving 3 stars only because I didn't care much for the way Current bid the job. I had mentioned to them that I rejected a bid from another company, and Current asked me twice how much that bid was, before giving me their own estimate. When Current did give me an estimate it was a set amount, and the invoice also shows only that amount, without labor rates or parts itemized. I prefer the old-fashioned method for giving estimates: tell me the labor rate per hour, give me an estimate of how many hours it will take, then bill me for actual time and materials. I believe that's a more straightforward approach to doing business.

We had a very simple job in our new house - needed a 240 outlet for a dryer. We learned that most companies will not quote for service "sight unseen", which is fair for electrical work. Current was the only entity that didn't charge an exorbitant "trip fee" just to quote (others ranged from $40-60 just to come out, not counting work done), and came in nearly $350 under the other company who quoted for us. The guys who came out to do the job quoted quickly, worked quickly and professionally, and double-checked everything to be sure things were good before they left. All in all took them only 1.5 hours, including quote and a quick trip for supplies. Generally a great, painless process. Price was what I expected (compared to some of the competitors), and payment was easy thanks to the use of tablets to take the credit card payment. We would definitely use Current again in the future! We're very pleased.

Background: I am admittedly picky and hard to please. Growing up an engineer's daughter, I learned early on to be a stickler for quality work. On Monday afternoon, I stopped in at Current Electric and spoke briefly with the person in charge (manager and/or owner). Since I'm not too far from their office, he said he could have someone swing by before the end of the week and take a look at the 7 exterior light fixtures I needed installed. Shortly after noon only two days later, I get a call asking if I'm free in the afternoon (which I was) for one of their electricians to come over. About 20 minutes later, after walking around the house and seeing the work, I'm signing a contract for what I consider a fair price. Almost as important as the cost, installation was to commence on the spot and was completed late that same afternoon. For over a week, I'd been on the phone and on Yelp calling no fewer than 11 electricians and handyman services trying to find anyone who was willing to even give me a quote. Of the other 10, only three had called back and only two of those were willing to give a specific day when someone could come out and provide a quote. The electrician Current Electric sent to my house was professional, hard working, friendly, and resourceful. His resourcefulness was crucial to his success. Of the 7 light fixtures, 3 were very tricky and much problem solving and tool skill was needed to complete the installations. My many questions and requests were also graciously handled to my satisfaction. I will be hiring this company again and highly recommend them.

The two techs did a good job of completing the tasks I had for them. I was fully satisfied with the work. I'm giving 3 stars only because I didn't care much for the way Current bid the job. I had mentioned to them that I rejected a bid from another company, and Current asked me twice how much that bid was, before giving me their own estimate. When Current did give me an estimate it was a set amount, and the invoice also shows only that amount, without labor rates or parts itemized. I prefer the old-fashioned method for giving estimates: tell me the labor rate per hour, give me an estimate of how many hours it will take, then bill me for actual time and materials. I believe that's a more straightforward approach to doing business.

We had a very simple job in our new house - needed a 240 outlet for a dryer. We learned that most companies will not quote for service "sight unseen", which is fair for electrical work. Current was the only entity that didn't charge an exorbitant "trip fee" just to quote (others ranged from $40-60 just to come out, not counting work done), and came in nearly $350 under the other company who quoted for us. The guys who came out to do the job quoted quickly, worked quickly and professionally, and double-checked everything to be sure things were good before they left. All in all took them only 1.5 hours, including quote and a quick trip for supplies. Generally a great, painless process. Price was what I expected (compared to some of the competitors), and payment was easy thanks to the use of tablets to take the credit card payment. We would definitely use Current again in the future! We're very pleased.
