Would give them a lower than 1 star review but that is as low as you can give. They originally did some electrical work for me when we built our house, the guys took two days and did not have all the parts but we were patient and it seemed they did good work. Fast forward a year and call them back, two delays and reschedules to make appointment for install of some lights and 30 minutes after they are supposed show up (3 week appointment wait) they call and say they cannot make it! And the "new owner" does not want to reschedule because they are to busy??? Wow. Next I have another electrician come out and point out where the original work they did was not up to code and faulty (state licensing association being notified and code enforcement). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - they are cheapo guys that give you a price for one product and cut corners to save a few bucks. Their field technicians don't know what they are doing - beware! 3 other electricians I spoke with said they make a good living going behind this company to clean up messes they make! BEWARE!

The selling of our house required a "license electrician" to replace 4 GFCI outlets. Mr. Electric charged us over $500 for the service for turning the power off, unscrewing a few screws and replacing the part. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to change the outlets myself and this company should be ashamed on the extremly high charge. The rest of the fixes meet our needs.

Would first off like to thank matt the new owner of mr electric for his swift actions on fixing a problem that the last owners of the company unknowingly on my behalf created for my home I had an outside electrical panel installed incorrectly I only found this out due to the fact that I was inquiring about central AC the AC company told me the innards of the panel were replaced upside down and we cant add another breaker even if we wanted to so i called mr electric back and the matt jumped right on it had my panel replaced and installed the right way in 2 weeks that's service and at no charge mr electric took action I cant thank them enough if you need electrical work done go with them they also fixed cosmetic work that the last owners surpassed and we are greatfull thanks mr electric again we will see you soon for further and any other work that arises.

Javier was extremely professional, courteous, and efficient. He did a good job (though admittedly it was an easy one). I like that Mr. Electric keeps you informed throughout the process - I received a call informing me that his prior appointment was taking longer than expected; I received a call and a text to tell me he was on the way; I received a text with a PHOTO of the technician and a brief bio; then I received a call after the appointment to see if I had been pleased with the service. My only negative is that it did seem awfully expensive for what was a very simple, uncomplicated, fast job.

Over priced poor/no response to warranty and dishonest. My elderly family member with cancer was quoted/charged a price 5X what he could have had the work done for by any other trustworthy licensed and insured Electrican. Scheduled them a week ago for a Saturday job. Call center called to confirm the appointment the day of. I was on the other line and when I called back, no one answered. I called the number I first called to schedule the appointment to let them know I was available, they said they would relay the message. Then I get a call back that the person who originally called me went home sick and they don’t have anyone to fix the issues I had until Monday. They said they called me twice, which they did, 7 min of each other. This was before the time they were scheduled to come. I needed these fixes because I’m moving out due to selling the house and setup the appointment as soon as I was given the closing date. I let them know I was on a tight deadline to meet the inspection requirements from the buyer when I originally called. I am not going to use this company due to the company canceling my appointment before the time scheduled, even after I tried on my end to call back and confirm (the number they left me on the voice message and the main Mr. Electric used to originally schedule the appointment).

We had an emergency in which they provided same day service. Not only did they provide same day service but they had excellent customer service. They called to keep me informed of when the service tech was on their way and our service tech, Austin Moore was fabulous! Austin Moore provided the best technical care for our situation, with not only being knowledgeable but also very professional through out the visit. I got their number from a friend, in which they had nothing but great things to say about them. They offer military discounts and I have had many electricians out in the past but have to say that Mr. Electric has me as a customer from here on out. Had a home inspection and needed a few repairs done. Mr. Electric (Josh)was here in a couple of days and knocked out those repairs with efficiency. Josh found another problem while here and we had that fixed as well. This company uses the "one home, one technician" idea and I like that. So, if we ever need electrical work done again, Josh will be our tech. Makes sense to me!

If you would like to pay WAY too much this is the place. Scheduling was fine, no issues with anything on the professionalism side from the office or the tech. The costs here are CRAZY..... $240 to install a customer supplied can light, PER LIGHT on a single story home remodel with romex wiring already in place. It was going to be $800 to install two bathroom fans plus $129 for a diagnostic fee on top of anything else they have to "think about". The post below is accurate as far as these guys making about $600 per hour. For a guy who knows a few things it was actually a little insulting and I flat out told the tech that they bid like they don't really want the work. I have no problem paying a licensed electrician a fair wage for good work but these guys do everything by the job, look around a little more for someone who is at least reasonable.

We were having electrical issues with our brand new home that the builder sub contractors couldn't or wouldn't find the problem. Javier Uribe from Mr Electric came out and diagnosed the problem very quickly. While working in the electrical panel and checking a few outlets he found a bunch of loose connections and what he called lazy workmanship issues that the builders had done. He replaced a faulty circuit breaker and rewired the panel. His wiring work was great and all of our electrical problems are gone. We can finally use our Keurig coffee maker without tripping a circuit!

I hired Mr. Electric around early October 2019 to troubleshoot the reason why a few electrical outlets stopped working at one of my rental properties in San Antonio. There were a total of 3 outlets not working. The tenant showed the technician the 3 outlets in question. For some reason the technician only repaired 2 of the 3. He didn't mention anything about the 3rd outlet. When Mr. Electric asked me for feedback I told them what happened and they never responded to it. This tells me their customer service could be improved also. I guess I will have to hire another electrician to fix the 3rd outlet.

After getting the runaround from 2 other electrical companies I called Mr. Electric, Joe came to my house and gave me a quote to replace my meter loop, and install 3 electrical panels that I had already purchased. Although we had some issues with the Electric Company schedule, Joe worked out his schedule to work with the Electric Company. He and his helper were very professional and completed the work in a timely manner and did an excellent job. They were very receptive to using new wiring and supplies that I had already purchased. Saving me money in the process. They are a little pricey but they show up when they say and get the work done quickly and professionally.

Mr. Electric is not in the business to serve its customers, stay away and find another electrician. After our home was struck by lightning, we chose Mr. Electric to inspect our property in order to file an insurance claim on our damaged items. Contacting and scheduling the inspection was easy and the technician who arrived was polite and professional. Verbally, he agreed that our indoor breaker panel had received a power surge and it was likely due to the recent thunderstorms. Nearly two months later, we still have not received an accurate report of the inspection, have been unable to contact anyone from the company, and have been actively avoided and lied to by Mr. Electric Staff. We are filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in the hopes of resolving our issues. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, FIND ALTERNATIVE ELECTRICIAN SERVICES.

Wow- I am blessed to have found Mr. Electric- specifically the crew of Eddie Burton and John Kesl. I initially contact the company to address a variety of projects ranging from large scale (replacing electric from house to garage and installing a fuse-box at the garage) to simple (swapping out old outlets). I met with Eddie (he was on time and contacted me in route to let me know-); we went over all the jobs/scope of work; he was patient and offered advice/suggestions when appropriate. After we wrapped up we went around to each area to verify what was to be done. He was able to have an estimate in no time (same day/same meeting). The price was not cheap; but base on many online reviews and the gut feeling of dealing with Eddie; I proceeded and we set dates for the work to get going. The work had to be pushed back two times (once due to rain and another was a work scheduling oversight on my end); BOTH times the office staff at Mr. Electric were extremely understanding and cooperative/sweet; dates were moved without a problem. The work began on December 5th and was concluded on December 8th; these were the dates we agreed on and no extra days were needed. Throughout the process Eddie and John kept me in the loop and sought my input when needed (light fixture placement/etc); If we ran into a problem/something unexpected options were given and we came up with a great solution. Eddie and John were flexible; and during tasks additions/alterations went smooth( for instance; the addition of additional can lighting or switching one light placement to a different location). Over the course of the projects I had an opportunity to watch the work ethic/work habits of the crew; I was extremely impressed. I always say character is what you do when know one is looking; and I could tell the crew was working not with a paycheck in mind- but with genuine care about the quality. The attention to detail from everything as simple as how an outlet was mounted on a wall all the way to the curve/drop of heavy duty outdoor wires/cables was exceptional. Irregardless of who you voted for (who cares); it is THESE TYPE OF PEOPLE that make America great- Solid work ethic, attention to detail, outstanding communication, PRIDE of a trade/craft. Wow. The overall experience far exceeded my expectations; I entered the process with a bit of trepidation- So often you get crew/people that do things around your house and you can tell they view it as a job and are already thinking about/rushing off to the next job/opportunity. I never once felt like this; I felt that any of my needs were listened too. Very cool- It is a rarity these days to find people who take pride in their work- the crew of Eddie Burton and John Kesl is rock solid. Money well spent; No regrets! I honestly feel I have a “new house” with the beautiful lighting. I 100% without reservation recommend Mr. Electric. Good solid company made of of talented/exceptional people. These people are a joke. Wont give a simple quote over the phone, and cant keep their word on when they are going to show up just to give a quote. Going on week 3. Ive had to wake up early and sit around for them to tell me their tech had to leave early or they cant make it for what ever reason. If you expect them to give you the time of day, PAY to reserve a timeslot and make sure its a big (expensive) job you want done. Otherwise, you are better off calling somebody who actually needs a paycheck and will show up for work. These people have clients to burn. Would give 0/5 stars but have to give one.

Outrageous pricing. Gave me a quote over $2600 for minor electrical job that include $300 to fix first GFI. Had the work done a reputable company for $720. Mr Electric prices are 4 times to much. But they have nice truck.

We have a new born baby in the house and so I knew I wanted real pros and I wasn't about to take any chances with a cut rate low budget fly by night company. I wanted peace of mind. Called Mr. Electric after the Tubes went out in my kitchen. 2 sets of 2. I'd bought new tubes and one ballast. The Electrician turned up 20 minutes later than the 2 hour appointment window (although I was informed of the delay). The electrician looked at the light fixture. Went off to his van, returned 10 minutes later and quoted $335. He would supply 1 new ballast ($24 at Wal Mart). An experienced electrician would probably complete the job in 30 minutes (Which the guy who arrived confirmed). He could not break out why it would cost this amount but it works out to about $600 per hour. I decided to try and find a cheaper electrician.

We had several issues that required electric work and remodeling of work left unfinished by our builder. We were quoted $29.00 trip charge which would be deducted from our overall bill if we proceeded with the estimate it would be deducted from our bill. If we did not decide to do the work, the charge was $29.00 for the review and estimate. We decided to have the work done. We were absolutely delighted with the professionalism, cleanliness and speed with which Ivan did the requested work. The work and experience was beyond our expectations. This company is outstanding in performance, courtesy and timeliness. We will have them back to wire our backyard. Just can't say enough good things about this company.

I had used Mr. Electric in the past and scheduled an appointment for 1100 on 25 May to install two lights on my garage. They called at about 1005 and I was unable to answer. I called back at 1045 and was informed that the electrician was busy at another job and would not be able to come. They offered to reschedule for a later date and $25 off, but I declined. I took a day off from work to be home for the service and Mr. Electric failed to meet their obligation. This is equally unacceptable and disappointing. I am now left to find a new provider for this service. Too bad you can’t rate 0 stars for 0 service.

Austin and Darla tried to take advantage of my elderly parents and it wasn’t until I intervened that they backed down. My parents needed a new outlet. Austin showed up and without as much as even checking the outlet, he told my mom they needed to spend $2500 on a whole new breaker box. Said he would come back the next day to replace it. My mom was scared to say no and gave him a $1200 check. His apprentice showed up the next day without him and fixed the broken outlet for my mom which angered Austin. He then threatened her, rolled his eyes, and got Darla on the phone to degrade my mother (on speaker). My mother, a former business woman, told them that by law she had 36 hours to change her mind, and especially because the service of changing out the breaker box had not even begun. She told Darla she would happily pay for the cost of replacing the outlet, and Darla proceeded to patronize my mother. I then took the phone and told her we would only pay for services rendered (the replaced outlet) and that if they tried to charge us for any other service I would contact the better business bureau and an attorney. She then backed down, had Austin give us the amount of our bill, and told him to head out. We ended up paying $400 and Austin returned her original check of $1200. Word to the wise, NEVER call Mr. Electric.

Setup an appointment to have a fixture moved. Agreed upon a time and I moved my schedule around to accommodate the appointment. Received a call a couple days prior to reschedule because the technician didn't have a ladder. Moved my work schedule around again. Received a call the day of the appointment saying that the tech waited in my driveway for 30 minutes and left because no one was home - which was amazing because I, my wife, my kid, and our babysitter were all at the house. Told that I would have to reschedule again for the following week because the tech had gone to another job. I told them no thank you.

They labeled the circuits nicely and cleaned up after the work. However, I can't rate them higher because the job was unbelievably expensive. Having had a lot of electrical work done in the past, I think this job should have cost about $1,200 - max! The parts are literally less than $250, so I was astounded when my wife told me we would be paying $2,200, and that was with some membership discount. They also told us it would be a good idea to replace our outdoor panel at around $3,700. We will contact another licensed electrician for that service. Though they do quote the price before beginning the work, they don't provide an invoice before or after with the cost of the parts and labor - that is strange and not standard practice in the service industry. Anyway, I would love to give these guys 5 stars because they do know what they're doing and we appreciated the friendly & knowledgeable technicians, but ultimately their pricing seems shady at best so we probably won't be using or recommending Mr. Electric again.

They were punctual, but the two people who showed up incorrectly identified the problem and gave us a base quote of over $2000. They left with the promise of giving us an actual written quote, but we never received one. We called another company, who correctly diagnosed the problem and fixed it that hour for only a little over $200.

We added a bit of creativity with a hexagon pattern giving the room a unique and artistic feel while still accomplishing the goal of even lighting. I called Mr. Electric for discolored wires coming from my light fixture and I needed them to tell me how to hook up my ceiling fan because I could not make out the color of the wires. In addition I also had a bedroom that kept tripping the circuit breaker. Ben came and assessed my ceiling fan and the bedroom that kept tripping the circuit breaker. He told me that he found a wire in the light switch in that bedroom that was touching another wire and he fixed it so I should not have anymore problems. He recommended I change all my circuit breakers and the breakers outside of my house. This would cost me nearly $2,000 dollars. I did not understand how he came to this conclusion without even taking the cover off the circuit box. I called back several weeks later and told the receptionist at Mr. Electric that I wanted a second opinion because that bedroom still keeps tripping the breaker. In a few days I was told to discuss the matter with the supervisor. He told me Ben is a master electrician and I could not get a second opinion. At first I agreed to have Mr. electric replace all my circuits, but the supervisor told me I had to wait for Ben to do it. This was after I already told him I wanted someone else. I decided to have Allgood electric company evaluate my situation. We agreed that there was absolutely no reason to change all my circuit breakers, so we changed the circuit breaker to the problem bedroom using an LED circuit, but it still did not fix the problem. If I had done what Mr. Electric recommended I would be out nearly $2,000 dollars for unnecessary labor and circuit breakers and my problem would still not be fixed. The worst part was that the supervisor who was so willing to back his employee would not guarantee his work. He said that if the circuit breaker still tripped after I replaced nearly $2000 worth of labor and supplies that if something else is wrong I would still need to pay for that too. I left Mr. Electric because this sounds like guess work. Allgood electric was able to use the LED circuit to further diagnose my problem. This was critical thinking not like Mr. electric. I was told by Jose that I did not need to replace my circuit box that the problem was loose wiring. Jose found all kinds of loose wiring throughout the second floor and he fixed them all. The circuit breaker does not trip anymore. Jose told me that I was lucky the loose wires did not start a fire. Do not choose Mr. Electric they only try to rip you off and make a buck. I would have spent nearly $2,000 if I had followed Mr. Electric's recommendations and I still would have had to go back and fix the problem. More importantly, they did not take their job serious enough and risked the lives of me, my wife and children. Do not use this company they try to rip you off, they are unsafe and unprofessional.
