I used this company through good contractors list. Had a bunch of small things to get done. Scheduling was easy and very professional. Estimated prices given at time of scheduling and was close to what received as final bill so no surprises at all. Text messages day before they came alerting me to technicians name. Got a call the morning of the service and alerted me to time of arrival. Came right on time. Very nice guys and very professional. Gave me the option of picking up parts at Lowe’s to save me some money. Overall extremely pleased with entire process!

Where do I start! Dave is AMAZING! To make a long story short - I came home yesterday to random areas of our home not working - AC, Hot Water, Lights, etc... It was after hours, so I found a local Electric company who would come out after hours. They said we needed 3 new electrical panels due to a lightening strike and it would cost $12,000. The last storm that came through was 2 weeks ago and I did not know we had a strike. I was feeling very uncomfortable and told them I wanted to get a second opinion. I searched for a Master Electrician in the area and found Electrician on Call. The lady who answered the phone was very caring, knowledgeable and helpful. It might be Dave's wife, I'm not sure, but she was awesome and managed to get Dave out to our home today. In no time he found the problem. Due to age, not a lightening strike, we needed 4 new breakers and my final bill was only $351.00! That is a huge difference from $12,000! I could not have been more impressed by Dave and his experience, knowledge and honesty. Thank you SO MUCH!

On this project, electrical wiring for an entire house was required. I am very happy that I chose the right electrician to help me out. There are so many listed on the internet. I just couldn't not call based on all of the positive reviews I read. I had just days ago purchased my 2nd home . My dryer wasn't working after I washed a load of clothes. I called on a Sunday hoping to get help. Dave returned my call and advised that if I could wait till Monday he would come out, no problem it wasn't a true emergency and waiting would save me from an emergency charge. I advised Dave the mover hooked up my dryer . When I detailed that the dryer did come on but a spark was seen. He asked me the year of my home and felt that it may not have been hooked up correctly and gave me an estimate. When he arrived within the time frame we discussed the day before he was wearing shoe covers which I liked. He found that his guess was accurate and I paid the estimated price given. If in the future I need any other help from an electrican I will not hesitate to call electrician on call. Superb customer service from a fellow Navy veteran.

Initially an electrician had came out and advised me of the problem and told me that I would need to get someone else to get the problem solved. The second gentleman came and stated what was needed to rectify the problem. He never returned nor did I hear back from him or the company. I finally got in touch with Electrician On Call that set up an appointment for a tech to come out. Dave came and took care of the problem within less than 30 minutes. He was very professional and detail oriented. I would advise (everyone) to use his services.

Upon arrival of the second call, since he didn’t repair the issue as instructed on the first service call, he had a piss poor attitude and continued to attempt to speak over me. I've used the Electrician On Call for several years. I always see the same technician. He is really good. The works he had done perfectly. This time, he replaced my ceiling fan. My ceiling is 22 feet tall with a 6 feet down rod. He climbed all the way up to the ceiling to remove the whole unit with the rod. Lower all down with help from his partner. They installed the new fan when everything was on the ground ( I think it's very efficient). Then, they raised the whole unit up, tied the screws. It took them less than an hour. Everything looked very professional and very clean. My new fan is 72 inch (quite large). I think it was a difficult task, but he made everything looked so easy. Highly recommended.

Needed a switch replaced for a bedroom closet. Job was done quickly, accurately and easily. My only beef is the cost. The quote was between $75 and $125, which even then I thought was a bit steep. Had the exact same thing done by a handy man for $50 (he wasn't available for this task). Bill came to $156, which is absurd. On the bright side I didn't electrocute myself! Will only use EOC again if their prices are much lower.

We moved into our house a couple months ago and began having electrical problems. We called this company and they sent out Dave immediately. He is not only helpful and very knowledgeable but is super nice. The last instance our AC stopped working and we thought we might need new HVAC applicants, it turns out the wires were switch! Whoever did our remodel did the electrical themselves probably (ugh). Their prices are very reasonable and have saved us money! The electricians were very professional and knowledgeable—no complaints at all about them. But the company’s prices are outrageous. They charged $95 to disconnect a wire in the attic which took them about 5 minutes to do. I think they should look at a job first before quoting prices. For a replacement ceiling fan installation and disconnecting a wire was over $300 and they were at my house less than 45 minutes. That’s about $400 an hour for labor charges!!!!

Master Electrician Dave, the business owner with over 20 years of experience, arrived at our home on time and got to work right away to replace an outside GFCI outlet that had become nonfunctional after 30+ years. I'm renovating my entire home and wanted updated lighting. Dave came over and helped me design the layout of recessed lights and pendant lights in my kitchen. The result is beautiful. Throughout the entire house, EOC installed 11 recessed lights, 3 pendants, two chandeliers, one flush mount, 3 vanity lights, a fan light and 6 dimmer switches. Dave, the owner from Electricians on Call, did a quick rewire of two smoke detectors, as well as install a new one also.. I called Electrician On Call this morning. Dave provided excellent service with fast response and friendly attitude. After I described what happened to my room, he directly pointed out the culprit mostly is the main breaker under the power meter, and that's it! Since the main breaker (including the box) is very old and dis-manufactured, I preferred to replace the whole box. Dave finished this work quickly and charged me for a reasonable price. 4/5/2016 UPDATE: They finally sent me the estimate last night and this morning they sent me a 20% off coupon. Perhaps after my reviews they realized that this wasn't the best way to do customer service. As a result, i am recognizing their renewed efforts to make amends and updating my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I called the company the early part of last week for an estimate to install a chandelier. They indicated that they would get back to me n 24 hours with the cost. 2 days later I called them and they told me that they were still working on it would be tomorrow. I called back the next day and they said they were still working on it and it would be tomorrow. On Thursday I called twice and they stopped picking up my phone calls (perhaps the person answering the phone was inundated with calls, who knows). I left a voicemail. Thursday afternoon I was told the estimate would be ready by the end of the day. Friday came and went with no call and no estimate. Finally on Monday morning I called and politely asked for the estimate and was told they it was not ready and they would get to it as soon as an electrician was available. I guess business is good with all of these "good reviews" and so they no longer need to provide their customers with timely (less than 7 days) estimates much less decent customer service. The person answering the phone and scheduling electricians could also do a better job with her customer service skills. In my opinion this company used to be great with a lot of great reviews but now it may be getting out of hand to handle customers properly that they are growing and getting bigger. That is just my guess based on not getting any proper responses or a quote for chandelier install.

I've used this company before and been very happy with the work, but that was not the case today. I needed a ceiling fan installed in my master bedroom, which has a tall, cove ceiling consisting of symmetrically angled sides that meet in a flat center strip. The ceiling is finished in tongue in groove wooden planks. The flat top, although narrow (maybe 18” wide) is tall: 11 feet off the floor. Before the electrician arrived, I'd had the previous fan removed, and I'd moved all furniture out of the way, leaving only the new fan and a 36" downrod, both still in their packages, on the floor in the middle of the room. When the electrician arrived and looked at the ceiling, he pointed out that there was no mounting plate on which to mount the new fan, just wires coming through a small hole in the wood. I had saved the old mounting plate, and showed him that, but he said it wouldn't work. It was probably 30 years old, so I was fine with replacing it. He said he had a new one on the truck, and I agreed to purchase that for an additional $75. He got the new mounting plate from his truck and went upstairs to install the fan. After about 20 minutes, I went upstairs to see how the work was going. I was stunned to see that he hadn't opened the downrod, and was simply mounting the fan directly to the narrow, flat part of the ceiling, 11 feet off the floor. The standard recommendation for mounting a ceiling fan on any 11-foot ceiling is to use at least an 18" down rod. He's a licensed electrician and I would expect him to know that, or at least to know that it's not OK to flush mount a ceiling fan on such a high ceiling. Not only would mounting the fan 11 feet off the floor on a coved ceiling mean no air could be effectively circulated, but the blades on the 52" fan looked like they would come within an inch of hitting the sloped parts of the ceiling. I told him he must use the down rod to mount the fan. First he said he hadn't seen it, and then he said the 36" down rod was too long. I immediately brought him another shorter (24”) downrod, which I'd purchased in addition to the longer one because I wasn't sure which would work best. However, in order to mount the fan directly to the ceiling, he had already cut all the wires from the motor so short that none of them were long enough to thread through even the shorter downrod. He suggested I return the fan and order a new one, but aside from the fact that I'd waited 4 months for this $600, DC motor fan to be in stock, I told him I didn't think the company would exchange an opened fan with cut wires for a brand new one with intact wires. I suggested he splice the wires and cover them with shrink tubing but he said he wasn't supposed to do that. He ended up cutting off several inches from the shorter down rod, and by doing that, he was able to get the fan up and running. It looks fine, but I have no idea whether it’s properly installed. Including the new mounting plate, the bill was $249. For that amount of money, I expected an experienced electrician who knew what he was doing. That's not what I got, so I won't be using this company again.
