Precision Electrical came out to my Apartment to change the power meter. So power went out at 8:00am and the apartment manager told be power would be on by 4pm. Then Precision Electrical told me the power would be on by 9:00pm that night. They said the inspector approved the work and that the power would be turned on by AEP by 9:00pm. Well guess what the power was not turned on by 9:00pm and I called AEP. AEP said Precision Electrical did not put in the work order request in on time for same day service. So my power did not get turned on Until 8:15 the next day. Not sure who to blame all I know is that I lost around $75.00 in Groceries and for a Full time nursing student that is a lot.

They sent someone over within the hour I called, and the electrician identified, and corrected the issue. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The Electrician was Professional, and friendly. I will use this company again for any of my future electrical needs.

From the very first phone call to book an appointment, to when they went out the door to leave, this company is top notch. The technicians arrived promptly, they were very friendly, curtious, and knowledgable. Yes they wore the booties over their shoes ! They were respectful of my home, making sure they didn't damage or break anything. Very thorough electricians ! They nailed down a problem that other electricians couldn't figure out. VERY pleased, I would highly recommend them , they know what they are doing.

We recently built an automotive shop and had Precision do the electrical work. We had a few extra things added, the price was ok. Then the problems began. We received invoices for work that was suppose to have been in the original contract. They wired the building with the smallest and cheapest wire for a 220, so they had to go back and re-wire at OUR expense. Our florescent lights look like strobe lights every time something is turned on out in the shop, whether it is a lift, welder or air compressor. Took us 4 weeks to get the owner to come out and talk to us. $18000.00 and all we hear are excuses.

If you have money to burn, then Precision Electrical would be a good choice for you. However, if spending 5 x more than you should have to isn't appealing to you, then call someone else - anyone else. I was charged just shy of $2,000 and not one wire was ran. All they did was switch some of the breakers out. My ex-husband (whom is an electrician - but lives in Houston) saw the bill and the pictures of what they did and he is also livid at the amount that was charged. He said the cost (if you go to Lowe's or Home Depot) of the items would be no more than $300 (for the best brand), so that means they charged me $425 per hour for the 2 guys that were at my house for 2 hours. Wow, wish I made that much an hour. From other stories I've read since this, I'm not the first and certainly won't be the last. Don't let the next victim be you!

Way too expensive!! $467 to fix a loose wire in a light fixture, look at a ceiling fan and couldn't fix it, and replace 2 smoke detectors! Come on!! I only gave one star because I had to in order to post this.

After two electricians coming to my home and not being able to identify let alone fix my problem, i called precision; not only did they show up EXACTLY when they said, they identified as well as completely fixed my electrical issues. The price is very modest considering the professionalism this company brings to the table. My house was built in the 50s, and yes things was a little rough, but these guys had my entire houses electrical system working like new! The staff (both that i talked to on the phone, as well as the electricians that came to my house) was very friendly, and professional. These professionals explain what their plan of action is, go over the prices (they charge by the job not the hour), then once you understand in detail and agree to the work, they go straight to work. The atmosphere they created was almsot like having a long time family friend in my house repairing my problems. I dont see how any other companies like this are in buisness. These guys are the absolute best. They are also very animal friendly! Honestly if you guys that came and fixed my electrical issues today are reading this (I'll omit names for privacy) I'd like to thank you again. I can sleep easy tonight knowing my electricity is repaired in full, as well as knowing they back their work with a (i think) 1 year warranty/guarantee. If it was possible, I'd rate them 1000☆'s!!! No matter your problem, large or small, before calling around (like I did on 2 other occasions, just to have other companies promise to come and not show, (or not respond to any of the times I contacted them) save your self some time; call PRECISION ELECTRIC! Ok my personal experience with this company was AMAZING! They were on time; they fixed my electric in no time at all. The staff are great and very friendly, knowledgeable people. They know exactly what they are doing and then some!!! The price is not very expensive at all, especially since their work comes with a warrenty. If I could give more * I certainly would. They deserve it!. I highly suggest this company for any of your current and future electrical needs! Great job, Precision Electric! $60 for them to tell me they were going to charge over $400 for installation of a bathroom light and vent that would have probably taken them 10 minutes to install. I had already removed the old one. All they had to do was install the new one. And he acted like he was giving me a discount. Give me a break. Explains why they won't give you any idea on the cost on the phone. They were literally at my house for 3 minutes. Pretty sure this business runs on it's $60 visit fee. What a waste of time and $60. Do not use this company unless you have money to throw away.

They were on time and professional and deserve 3 stars for that alone, but they are seriously expensive., charging the equivalent of $225.00 per hour and higher, and I somehow don't think the average consumer can afford their rates. I paid in excess of $560.00 to run 40 ft. of 12/3 wire from the panel to a new outlet. Total time for the job was 1 1/2 hours. If that isn't exorbitant, I don't know what is. People need to be very careful with this company.

My Son-in law had this this company come out to our home due to a problem with a dead wall socket. The repairman who came out from precision was not even a licensed electrician and worked under the owner of the company who was not present. I was told to replace the outlet and and do a visual inspection of my electrical panel it was going to cost over more then $375, I was told the panel inspection was mandatory and would only take 5 minutes. I called my Son-in law and he told me to ask them to leave and not pay them a dime. The following day my wife had an electrician from the yellow pages come out and make the repair! Cost $69.00 including new wall socket, panel inspection free, which included tightening up some loose grounds. The man who came out owned the company and was a licensed Tennessee Electrician, total time spend at my home 30 minutes. I do NOT Recommend Precision Electrical they are over priced and try to over sell. Get out the phone book and use commonsense when selecting these repair people. It has now been over 6 weeks since the repair and I have had NO problems at all. Thank you Jim for a job well done!!

Even with a detailed specification and diagram of a very simple job, could not even give a rough estimate without a $69 free to visit. Kind of hard to compare prices if you have to pay $69 to know the price.

Given that electricity is deadly to work with, I thought the price I paid was very reasonable. It was actually less than what I thought it would be. I would recommend these folks to anyone.

based on just the call alone..... Called to see if I could have them come to my house to do an install for electrical on a new shed I am getting. When I called they said it would be $70 just for the drive to come to my house (less than 20 miles) and then they would give me an estimate for the work. I asked why so much for the driver to come to my house and they said "work on the vehicle that gets them to your home." Paying a person $70 to just drive to my house alone (to NOT include the driver figuring out a cost for the work) is NOT going to happen. It certainty does not cost that much to drive to a house for a consult. Customer Service is not with this business.

The company was extremely professional and so were the technicians. Everything was great but it was very expensive. You will get great service from this company but you will pay for it. I was not thrilled that I had to pay a fee to get a technician to my house and then pay another fee to diagnose my problem. I would most likely not use this company again, but I am confident and satisfied with the work I received. UPDATE: after giving this company a 3 star review initially due to the price I am changing my review to 5 stars. I had the same problem 2 months later due to a breaker being flipped (I didn't realize that at the time) and the technicians came back and fixed it for free and explained to me how to fix it myself next time. This was covered under the warranty. This company has great customer service. I would recommend them.

Never fixed the mess they left us in. I should have listened to another electrician that has had experience with them that told me they try to rip you off as much as possible. We should have had a brand new service as quoted for over six grand but we were left with a unrentable home.

The house I moved into is a bit older. One night, the power box went out, causing a surge and almost a fire. We called Precision, and where this was kind of a spur of the moment emergency, I wasn't sure if anyone could come out right then, and was okay with it if that did happen. However, they came out within minutes. It wasn't even an hour. They diagnosed the problem and had it fixed quickly. They were very personable and friendly. I would recommend!

Make sure you quote with other companies before ever choosing Precision to do work for you. We made the mistake of having them come out and give us a quote on a rental property, which was quoted "turn key" after installation, only to be given quotes a fourth of the price after we had work completed. This rental property is still unable to use a microwave and a heater at the same time. $6000 bill and no new wiring or circuits were ran in this house. We have contacted the technician, spoke with upper management, and even escalated this to the owners... they are not concerned because they have already received their money for an incomplete job. Awesome way to lose business from customers who have contact with 4000+ clients daily!!!

And the owners don't respect their own workers nor their customers, money is what they care about and that's it, I hate this company and i would never recommend them for anything! There aren't but three employees who even know what their doing the rest are not good electricians. I should know I'm an electrican. I would never call this expensive company if my house had an electrical fire!!! It all depends on which electrican shows up as to how your house and your electrical work come out. Who wants to leave their electrical to chance?

Precision Electrical Company is our choice for all electrical and lighting needs at Kingsport Speedway. On Friday, Aug. 5 we experienced a power at part of our facility during an event. Many of the employees of Precision Electrical Company were in attendance (one even racing) and they immediately began trying to sort out the issue. The company even sent after their bucket truck to get us back going that Friday night. In less and an hour and a half, they had us back going. We highly recommend this great company!

First of all let me say that the guy who did my job was very nice... however I called precision electrical, told them i had a kitchen stove with a four pronged wire, and in the wall i only had three 6 gage wires comming out.of the wall... white black and ground. I needed a plug put on the stove and a plug put in the wall. they could not give me the price for this over the phone... but told me that the electrician would have to come out to give me a price. it was around 40.00 to have them come out. when they got there they took one look and said it wud be 200.00 to do the job. .. i could have paid them forty dollars for giving me the estimate and sent them on their way, and went to lowes and maby just got a new 6 gage four wire electrical wire for about 100.00 to run to the box. but i wud still have to have paid them the 40.00 to come out and give me this estimate. and all together it wud have cost me 140.00 to do it myself. so i went ahead and paid the huge price for the nice fella to sit in the floor and wire up a plug (which i provided) and a new stove cord . which I also provided. ... this 5 minute job cost me 200.00 ... I don't care if precision electrical drugs tests their employees, just send me a lazy eyed pot head as long as you dont price gouge the hell out of me.. .. damn i am still in amazed at the price for this job. ..never again. .. and i own several rental houses... will i ever call this company.

I gave them 2 stars because they were extremely nice and broke our contract and refunded our half upfront money with ease ..I cant express how nice and understanding they were..the reason I am giving them only 2 stars is because they seriously over quoted the job ,a no more then $2,800 job was quoted at a little over $6,000.. I also didnt like that they told us that we had to have a few things done to pass inspection that you do not have to have done on a older house ,you do have to have them done on a new build( I actually called a inspector to check and make sure these things were not necessary) but like I said at the beginning of the review they were very nice people to deal with

I am really up set to know that they came out and checked the wiring.and told me they could not solve my problem because they don’t make this system anymore....has no way to solve my problem, and gave a bill for almost $300, now the problem happened to be a short in a wiring which the person living there took care of the problem with a $4 switch... now what else can I say other than I will never call these people again...and please make sure what they tell you is true...

*****BEWARE unless you want to pay up front for an incomplete job***********My husband and I BOTH were quoted a “turn key deal” new electrical outlets, wiring ,circuits ETC to make this place functional! However, it is working worse than before precision showed up. They did not put in new wiring. The job they did cannot even support one heater since precision didn’t install the new circuits as quoted over the phone. They hooked everything to one circuit to support a one bedroom apartment which should be 6-7 circuits to make the place functional!!! Over $6000 for a simple service change that should have cost MAX $2000— Please make sure the owners that don’t seem to care about future business know that-

Overpriced, and did a horrible job. Was charged almost $300 for them to quote me a job. Then they did way less then what I was quoted and it still cost more than they quoted. The technician spoke to me like I was too stupid to understand when I had to call him to come back and do the job right. I will never use them again.

Representative returned call in a timely manner, approximately 24 hours, and was very polite and informative. The appt. was scheduled for 2 days later, the representative called on that morning and stated the technicians had finished early and would be on their way to my house. They arrived on time and with what they needed for the job. They were pleasant, respectful, quick, and thorough. Would refer without hesitation. Pricing was very fair!

First off, these guys came all the way to Bristol, from Kingsport, on race week(end) and they was still right on time. Their prices are extremely fair, considering the amount of professionalism these guys have. They fixed 100% of my problems, and even found two i was completely unaware of! I can relax knowing my electric is fixed correctly, as well as knowing i have a warranty, if things ever go south. I strongly encourage those of you who are in need if electric servicing, to just go ahead and call them. Dont waste time on other companies, just get it done on time, get it done right the first time!
