For the price, better communication, follow through, job completion the first time (as commissioned) and arrival within a reasonable time of set appointments shouldn't be too much to ask (as well as communication when the appointment can't be met within several hours of schedule to determine if client should reschedule or is okay with being stranded waiting on service). Following up with advice or a plan to fix devices or equipment that isn't working seems to be an area to improve as well as communication for either the removal, disposal or retention of unused equipment. We went with Above & Beyond despite their being one of the higher bids.

First time I have used this company but will be the only future electric company that I will use. Very professional, came out when they said and even called before coming out. John put covers on his shoes so as not to carry dirt from shoes inside the house. Careful not to damage any furnishings and before doing any work gave me alternatives to what he could do along with the cost before doing any work. I would highly recommend this company.

We had a phenomenal experience with Above and Beyond. Without a doubt the easiest and most pleasant visit from a contractor we've ever had at our home. The folks in the main office were very friendly on the phone and accommodated an emergency repair very quickly. Rob came out on a Friday afternoon and spent time explaining our issue, offered solutions, and gave an up front price that was very reasonable. First thing Monday morning, Rob and Glenn showed up earlier than they were even scheduled to get started. They took what should have been an all day job and completed it in only a few hours. They took the time to explain their work after they were done, and were very professional during the process. I had my reservations before we started the process, but I highly recommend this company!

Unfortunately, I am very displeased with this company. I recently called to have 2 motion detector lights added to the back of my home. I purchased the lights, wiring and all necessary equipment to have the fixtures added for less than $200. I was told a quote could not be given on the phone. Rather, it would be $89 for someone to come to my house and discuss the project. When the electrician arrived, I was out of town and my wife was home. The electrician spoke in a very heavy, foreign accent my wife could barely understand. He wrote up the quote and said it would cost $626 to wire the lights, with all of our materials. So, connecting a two wires would cost more than 3 times as much as the lights and all equipment (including wiring). The electrician called me to discuss the pricing because my wife wasn’t sure. I had a very difficult time understanding him on the phone. After 10 frustrating minutes, I “negotiated” a lower price… Not sure why or how that was possible… Then, once we agreed, the electrician called his boss, then raised the price once again. Being already committed to $89 just to have the technician come to my house and being so frustrated and feeling very taken advantage of I agreed to have the job completed. The invoice was hand written and incorrectly added. Once my wife corrected the basic math, my credit card was charged nearly $500 (2 ½ times the cost of materials). I got home and the lights weren’t even calibrated or setup properly. Something I had to do myself. I know electricians are important, but I feel very taken advantage of and will not be using Above and Beyond Electric Company, Inc. ever again.

The company called me back quickly after I left a message on voicemail what my problem was. I had called 3 plumbers previously and none called back because it was a job that's not their favorite. They were at my house next morning and had it fixed before noon. Very courteous and professional.

We recently bought a home in midtown and were having some scary issues with our electric. John and Glen came out and did not leave us waiting. The appointment window was between 8-8:30am and they arrived a few minutes after 8. We talked to them about the issue and they got right to work. They were very knowledgeable and were able to recommend different solutions to the problem. They were very honest and respectful with our home, and put everything back just as it was when they arrived. John and Glen were able to put my worries at ease and fix the major concern that day. We had minor work completed for our office today. Robert and Zach were very nice. They completed the work with ease and with as little disruption as possible which is huge in a practice that is seeing patients. The only draw back was they switched my appointment from a morning to an afternoon the day of. It didn't effect what we needed but it could have it the work was in patient rooms. I will be keeping there card and we will use them again if we find ourselves in need!

The other company was going to charge me over 100% more than AB. AB came out and did the work perfectly. The two guys they sent let me know everything they were doing and were extremely professional. It was a two day job but they wasted no time both days. I will always use them for any future electrical work. Side note....the other company has a ridiculous number of reviews that are almost all perfect. Something stinks.

Rob was our technician and I couldn't have asked for anyone better. He was very polite, courteous, he listened well, and he took time to speak with me in order to explain what he was doing, why he was performing the tasks he was performing, and how much the procedures would cost. I never felt pressured to have any of the work completed. After I explained to Rob everything that I could see was wrong, he said that he would get to work right away, he checked out the areas of concern and completed that task well. The wonderful thing is that he kind of had a feeling that something wasn't quite right with our microwave area. He found the problem and then explained it and the costs to me. I never felt that I was being pushed into getting any done. He cleaned up after himself and took care of all issues swiftly He was a great listener. Had he not been able to read between the lines then he would have missed the problem with my microwave. He fixed it and now I don't feel like anyone will blow up Pam was a delight to speak with as well. She called me fifteen minutes before Rob arrived, which gave me time to clean up and get things out of his way. I'm normally not a cheerful person in the morning but with this team, being cheerful just become part of how it should be. Recap: fast, courteous, friendly, great listening and explaining skills, and he cleaned up after himself. Prices were appreciated, timeliness was appreciated, listening and explaining skills were incredible/1 Thank you all and I will be calling you back if we need you again. I will most definitely make sure that I tell everyone about you all. Wonderful people!

I am so grateful to Nathan. An HVAC guy found a raw, burned wire running along my attic floor on a Friday afternoon. It took all kinds of searching trying to find an electrician on a weekend. Another electrician recommended Above and Beyond. I sent a PM through their Facebook site Saturday morning because they don't have a weekend emergency number. Nathan responded, and then drove all the way out to Millington on a Saturday because we were concerned the wire would start a fire. I was so grateful not to have to call the Fire Department. Nathan confirmed the wire was ancient, and no voltage was going through it, and was even nice enough to fix a lamp since he was out here anyway. He is solid gold. Great service. Highly recommend.

They did the electrical for our pool and talked us into installing a moon light in the tree. We were initially happy with the work, but after the moon light stopped working (due to a possible blown transformer) I have not been able to get them to follow up with any advice or a plan to fix it. It was supposed to have a 5-year warranty. Even worse, the light that they installed in the tree fell out. I have attempted to call and email Nathan several times regarding this issue but have not heard back from him. Pam has been very kind and understanding on the phone and has told me she would ask Nathan to get in touch with me, but alas, all I have gotten is radio silence. We're now on Summer #2 of not enjoying our moon light that Nathan convinced me would be so beautiful and peaceful. We have spent more than $1000 on this and have received little more than stress and frustration for our hard-earned dollars. Nathan seems like a nice guy, so here's hoping he will see this and make the decision to do the right thing and help us out.

Above and Beyond was recommended to me by an acquaintance. They have completed two jobs for me as of June 14, 2018. In both cases, the work was efficiently and professionally done. The electrical crew was respectful of my home and of my time. They were here at the promised time. Today's work involved digging a short trench in my yard; John and his helper did this neatly, with the least disruption to my lawn that was possible, and covered the dug-out space. Robert and Zach came because our central a/c was not getting power. They didn't leave until they were satisfied they had for sure found the problem which ended up being one of breakers, which they replaced. They also changed out the receptacle the unit plugged into because they found the wiring was old and done differently now then when the house was built in 1990. They were both pleasant and I felt very comfortable with both of them and would certainly highly recommend Above and Beyond and will definitely use them for any more problems we might have i the future!! Nathan, Zach, and Robert have all surpassed what was required of them and provided me with exceptional service that, frankly, is a rarity today. Every project they have helped me on has turned out to yield phenomenal results.Nathan was very professional and got the job done quickly and masterfully on his first visit. In particular, Zach and Robert dedicated almost an entire day helping me install some rather difficult star light panels for my home theatre. They never complained, were courteous, found solutions through some hardships they encountered, and ultimately provided me with some of the best service I've ever received from a company. Not to mention their staff (Kim and Pam) excel in their own right, as they are polite and helpful whenever I call for service.
