Had a water pipe burst in in front yard. The yard was waterlogged. Immediately called Kimball's which have used for years. They quickly responded and turned off the water which had flooded the lawn and was running into the street. James came back as soon as the standing water had drained from the turf and quickly completed the water line repair. Excellent job.

June 2018: Dan did an outstanding job replacing the water tank used with my well. He reviewed all the steps in the procedure and went over shut off steps for emergencies. I appreciate Mr. Kimball calling back over the weekend to answer my questions about dealing with the leak until service could be done on Monday. Always a pleasure dealing with Kimball's ! February 2018: Excellent service as always ! James was extremely helpful in fixing a water leak under the house. I had Kimball's come out to fix our outside hose faucet since it had been leaking. I called for an appointment and they were able to put me in for the next day and called half an hour before arriving. We didn't even realize what odd plumbing we had until it was being explained for the fix. Isaac was our plumber, and he was very professional and very nice. He worked very diligently. They had to break the concrete around the faucet to replace it since it was integrated in our wall. He also noticed some fallen ducts for our ventilation under our house and fixed those as well.

Dan and Isaac just restored my hot water this morning, much to my relief. They quickly figured out the problem and immediately went to work to correct it. The faulty part was apparently hard to access, but they were diligent in their search and ultimately successful. I appreciate their efficiency and friendliness! Update: Just a few days later, the hot water started losing heat. Dan and Isaac had recommended buying a new hot water heater if I had any future problems because it was getting old, so I called to set up removal and installation. My appointment was set for the following morning...amazing! Robert did an excellent job from start to finish, and the price was fair. Thank you again!!!

Called to get an estimate for installing natural gas lines in the house and replacing the HVAC, gas range, gas logs and outside grill stub. No mention made of the $95 trip charge for an estimate that was mentioned to my neighbor when he called, called back was told this would be waived due to the non urgency of the visit. Waited a week , heard nothing, called back spoke to Mr. Kimball who was evasive and unhelpful. I said we didn't seem to be making much progress and was rewarded with "goodbye" and he hung up. Upon reflection I probably should have got the message when no return call was forthcoming and the $95 trip charge for an estimate should have been a hint. To me it is simple, if you don't want or need the work then politely say so, that's all it takes. Suggestions: Holley Heating Air - Yohe plumbing and HVAC - Bragg Heating and Plumbing.

Kimball's was fast, responsive, and had excellent customer service throughout our entire experience. They had to replace several different parts of my toilet and reseal the whole unit. They did it all under an hour and with reasonably priced parts! A++

Just called to see if they do estimates, the man who answered said "uhh hold on" then came back and asked what i meant. I told him I was thinking about switching out the copper piping in our house, he asked where I lived. I told him Jackson, SC, then he started laughing and said no we don't do free estimates, and they charge "$95 dollars an hour and that's a thirty minute drive both ways" meaning he would charge me for $95 dollars or more just for driving to my house and not doing anything. How does that even make sense? He was very unprofessional and it would have obviously cost a fortune if i even asked them to come fix a simple leak. All these five star reviews must be from their family, or "Jame's" wife haha.

I called to schedule a service call for one of our rentals the Friday before labor day. Kimballs had just serviced the same unit in late June and we felt the problem was most likely covered by their warranty. I left message and no one returned my call. I called again Saturday morning and was told by a very nice gentleman that the holiday rate for Saturday would be $500.00 plus any parts and labor. He went on to explain that Kimballs did not perform warranty work on weekends and I could wait until Tuesday and they would send someone out for a warranty repair. I explained that we had called on Friday and left a message but he claimed they were so busy they were not answering the phone on Friday. He was emphatic that Kimball's would not negotiate the rate, did not perform warranty work on weekends and if we needed service we had to agree to the holiday rate. I immediately called Holly's who took my call and told me that their weekend rate would be 125 and then whatever parts and labor was required. We agreed and the technician arrived in less than 2 hours, completed the repair and was gone. The weekend rate, parts and labor was around $300. I will never waste my time by calling Kimball's again. Call a local business who treats local people like neighbors.

Called Kimball’s in the morning with what felt like an emergency-a stopped up sink. By 11:30Am, James was at my house and quickly diagnosed the problem. I called after hours for an emergency sewer main repair (5:45 PM). A man answered, but didn't seemed to engage with the conversation. I explained a cable company had bored into my sewer main while doing a cable job. Before I could say anything else he stated "if they broke it, let them fix it," and he hung up the phone. I called back and it went straight to voice mail. Even if he couldn't or didn't want to do the job, maybe he could have directed me to someone who would. This was just rude and overall poor customer service. I wont call you again.

I called this company today. I started to explain that our company was looking for an electrician in the Aiken area to do some work for us. I began to explain the work when he cut me off and explained they ONLY collect payment onsite. I asked if they are able to invoice us since our office is not in Aiken. HE STARTED LAUGHING! LAUGHING AT ME! It wasn't a chuckle either. I was 5 - 10 seconds of laughing. What kind of service professional laughs at a potential customer?! I have been a Service Professional for 14 years and I would never laugh at a potential customer no matter how strange the question. INCREDIBLE LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM. Isaac came out on Easter Sunday to fix what we thought was a single leak on the main water line into the house. He fixed that and in the course of fixing the initial leak, saw a second leak. He was very respectful, he even covered his shoes to not bring dirt in my house, very attentive and knowledgeable/ knows what he's doing. If you have any trouble with plumbing, water heater. When I got home this morning from a business trip I walked in water was coming down from the ceiling from the second floor . on the second floor bathroom the ceiling was wet , The walls were covered with water and the floor was flooded . I am mediately turned off all the water to the house and call Kimballs. My initial thought was it was coming from the attic but I couldn't see any piping . Kimballs left me a message and said they would not come out there in the weekend they were concerned if they fixed it it could leak and they have to come back out so they told me to wait to Monday. This would've been two days without any water in the house . I called Bradleys they came right out and look at the problem it happens to be the hose to the toilet and it had broken loose and I guess zigzag all around and sprayed the ceiling. they fixed it in 15 minutes . My words of wisdom you can't count on Limballs Monday through Friday 8 to 5 but don't count on any extra work if you have an emergency.

Zero Stars if possible. I was in the process to convert a fiberglas bathtub to a walk-in shower. The tub was completely removed and all I needed was a plumber to slightly re-route and extend the existing pipes, add a new valve and modify and attach the bathtub drain to the new shower base (I did this myself 20 years ago in a different house when I was in better health than today). At first I got an appointment for the next day; which was cancelled four hours later and moved up for one week. Since there is no rush, I agreed. The day of the installation comes and I get a phone call from the owner, inquiring what the task was. 5 minutes later I return the voice mail of the assigned plumber to tell him the same story. Again 5 minutes later I get a second phone call from the owner, telling me that the job is too big (takes too long and is expensive) and told me to look for a different company and hung up. At no time was there a heated conversation to justify his behavior. I knew their hourly rate before hand and never gave the impression that I want something for nothing. Not only did I waste one week of waiting, but both, owner and employee seemed to make a big deal of a standard task and basically told me to get lost. As far as I'm concerned, there will be no business with that company.
