A breaker blew and I was without power in 4 rooms of my apartment. After reading all these great reviews for Columbia Electric Service, I decided to give them a call. I called around noon and was told they could have technicians here by 2:30pm which was great. They were running ahead of schedule so they called to see if they could come earlier. They were here around 1:45 and were done by 2:15pm. They were very professional and extremely nice and everything is back to working perfectly again. The price was very reasonable as well. I highly recommend their services and will definitely use them next time I have an issue! :)

We recently had Columbia Electric do a number of jobs for us both inside and outside our home. Marcus, Alex, and Loretta were wonderful to work with. One of the jobs was the wiring for a new screened porch and hot tub being put in, so we were trying to coordinate with multiple companies. They were very flexible and worked with us to find solutions to several issues that arose. This resulted in making a few changes that ended up being better than the original plan. We were impressed with their professionalism, friendliness, and their reasonable prices. We would definitely use Columbia Electric in the future and have already recommended them to several other people.

So very happy with the service I have received since January from Columbia Electric Service. I had a ceiling fan that was flickering like a strobe light. We were quoted $5K from one electrician saying our circuit was overloaded and because we live on a slab all the drywall would have to be torn down and every room rewired! I contacted Columbia Electric Service to lessen the circuit, and Cody and Randy were able to lessen the circuit load by putting some switches that were close to the breaker box on their own circuit. They cut two little pieces of drywall in a closet to make it happen doing a very neat and clean job of it, so all we have to do is tape and mud it. They were knowledgeable, courteous, fast, and cleaned up afterwards. They did exactly what I asked. And, better yet, it only cost $300! Unfortunately, it didn't solve our issue though it did seriously brighten all of our lighting. Earlier this week, I turned on the ceiling fan light and it was flickering again. So, I called them again because we've put our house on the market and needed to get that fixed fast! We scheduled for them to come out and trouble shoot on Wednesday. On Tuesday, we had a home pre-inspection done where the inspector found some issues with our breaker box and some electrical outlets in our garage. When Dustin and Matt arrived, they listened to what I had to say about the ceiling fan and found the issue! A receiver from the remote control was bad! After removing that, all was well. Then, I went over the list of things the home inspector found, and they corrected those as well.... replacing a couple of breakers and rewiring an arc fault breaker to a master bedroom where it was needed instead of the great room it was on, and they corrected an illegal outlet in our garage we needed for our deep freezer so we could keep it and it would be completely legal. Surprisingly, the home inspector stopped by knowing the electrician was supposed to be here to see how it was going. He looked over their work and approved! The best news, it cost less than $200 and took about an hour to have it all done! Dustin and Matt were also knowledgeable, courteous, fast, and cleaned up afterwards. Very happy with Columbia Electric Service! I would recommend them to anyone!

Original appointment was cancelled for an "emergency", rescheduled for the next day. The estimator arrived almost an hour late without a call to inform us he would be late He called only after we contacted his office when he was 20 minutes late to see where he when he would be there. The man listen to my explanation on the phone of the service that needed to be provided, then set the phone down and left, without so much as a good bye on the phone or telling anyone at the house he was finished and leaving. His complaint when I called to asked him what was going on...he was afraid of the dog.

We have used Columbia Electric Service on multiple occasions and have always been pleased with their good communication, pride in their work, and reasonable prices. Most recently we had them install motion sensing floodlights on our home, due to some break-ins in the neighborhood. They recommended a top of the line brand that is a little more money, but it actually works like it is supposed to, unlike the cheap ones they sell at the big box stores. I was thankful that they took the effort to recommend a better solution for me, rather than just doing it the cheapest way. You can tell they really care.

We used this company to do some work on our house we were selling. For the initial estimate, he called me a few days early to see if he could go ahead and come by since he was in the area, which I appreciated and thought made sense. However, he arrived over an hour late without letting me know he was running behind. My real estate agent had emailed him a list of repairs days before he came so that he would know exactly what to look at. Of course, he did not have it and acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. We received a full estimate only after my agent and myself called him numerous times!! We could have found another company and got an estimate from them in the time it took him to send us what we needed. This also delayed things with us closing. After we thought he'd completed all of the work, we were then informed he had only done one of the things we asked and PAID him to do. I cannot speak for the work as I no longer live there, but I did not appreciate how unorganized things were especially with the amount of money they charge for things.

I needed a 220 volt line run from my service panel to the opposite end of my house for a well I am getting put in. Called them this morning around 9am. I was concerned that I might not be able to get the line installed before the well company showed up to drill, but thanks to Columbia Electric I am good to go. There were some concerns over drilling, in order to run the additional lines, but they completed the work with only the necessary (minimal) blemishes.
