After getting 3 quotes for installation of an emergency backup generator, we selected Cox Electric in South County, RI proposal for 8KW Generac Generator. Clint Cox, the owner, was very helpful during the entire installation process, including securing all the necessary Town approvals and stickers. The installation went smoothly and our Generac functions as advertised. I would certainly recommend Cox Electric, LLC. for any generator procurement and service. Helpful, courteous, and responsive office staff is also a big plus. Of course the fundamental metric for success is completing the project on budget and in the time promised, and that is exactly what Cox Electric accomplished.

If there is such a thing as a perfect consumer experience, our dealings with Cox Electric personifies that. I would give them TEN stars if I could. My husband Bob and I, had been discussing installing a generator for a few years, and this year seemed the right time. We are so glad that we chose Cox Electric. I had seen their vehicles all over the Wakefield/Narragansett area, and after reading the reviews, I gave Clint Cox a call. He was very responsive and very friendly, and came out within a couple of days, with a staff member named Joe, to discuss the best generator for our needs, and the best placement. He did not use high pressure tactics. He was honest and forthright, and his price was very fair. There were no unpleasant surprises, or added fees. Clint even made a couple of calls for us to find the best deal on propane, and knew the questions to ask, that we wouldn't have. The installation was done very soon after our meeting, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Carl and Mike (the electricians). The next step came the pipe fitters, for the propane,. They are a father/son team, and again...extremely qualified, and very nice. All of the tradesmen involved in our job followed all current building codes, and we passed our inspections with flying colors. Next came starting the generator, and putting it online. The Generac generator has an optional mobile link (which I highly recommend) that provides a constant diagnostic report about the status of your Generac generator to your own computer or mobile device, AND to Cox Electric's dashboard. George is your man for that. Not only did he kindly and patiently answer my many questions by phone during the installation process, but he came out to do the set up. George is a perfectionist, and very organized and detail oriented. He explained everything to us about how the generator runs; preventive maintenance; and safety features. It is very comforting to know that, once you purchase your generator from Cox Electric, and have it installed by them, they are always there for you. When they tell you that they will do something, they follow through. They conduct business the way all companies should. I am sorry to be so lengthy, but I believe that when folks deserve praise, that they should get it. Cox made the process so easy. So, when you see the Cox Electric vehicles around the community, rest easy that there are still good, honest companies around, and they will treat you well. Robert and Holly Greene; Hopkinton, RI

The owner should take a look at who he’s employing as the idiot of a kid (John or joe?) who installed my neighbors generator was the biggest douche I’ve ever met. Not sure why a company would employ someone who talks down about his boss and colleagues and boasts about doing more work then the owner does. Kid probably shouldn’t be telling strangers this. Plus he screwed up the install so there’s that.

I am extremely pleased with all facets of the purchase, from the initial evaluation of my electrical loads, transfer switch install, gas line plumbing, and the startup orientation. During all phases I was kept informed of the nuances of each component and my questions were graciously answered.
