Summary: Didn't complete job per quote, broke/disconnected two things in the process (air conditioning, and cable service), left an open wire/cable box with a tangle of cables, claimed they would reduce invoice by the cost of those repairs, and then sent a "PAST DUE" notice threatening a lien. Avoid this company.
Full Review:
TREK Electric initially quoted us work for installing an outlet on a wall above our fireplace. Since this is difficult for them to get between the brick and the interior wall it was more expensive in the quote; however, on the day of install we were told the best they could do was run a line and install the outlet in the ceiling. We did accept this; however, I didn't expect the bill to remain the same for a lesser amount of work. Although this is frustrating and poor service I didn't technically ask/clarify that it would reduce the price.
After the new outlet was installed we noticed the cable and internet services to our home were not working. When we called TREK about this we were told that nothing they did could've caused this and to call our cable provider. Cox was able to get us in the same day and identified that the box in our ceiling where the cable is distributed to the rest of our house had been disconnected.
The same day we noted that our air conditioner was not working and since the cable had been directly related to TREK's work we called them about this as well and received the same answer. 4 days later we had technicians for our home warranty out only to identify that this to had been disconnected and unplugged up in our attic.
We then recontacted TREK to complain and asked them to reduce the invoice which they stated they would and re-issue; however, today I received a 30 day past due notice for the full amount with highlighted areas threatening a lien.
