neighborhood electric was awesome! Being a first time home buyer they explained the process of having a new electric panel installed and the extra power it will provide to my house!!! I am 1000 percent happy with the work! The guys were extremely professional and I’m glad they answered all my questions! I’ll be sure to refer you guys to my friends and family! I’m sure I’ll also be using you for all our electric needs! Everything was installed perfectly, cleanup was completed, and explanation of what was done was provided. PRICE COULD NOT BE BEAT! I called with an emergency electrical issue and Lenny answered the call immediately. The electricians arrived when promised and assessed and diagnosed the problems quickly. The work was started immediately and workers were courteous and professional. They finished an electrical panel replacement, rerouted circuit patterns, and replaced old outlets. It was Christmas season and one day half of my house had no light. I called Neighborhood Electric from the penny saver and Lenny answered my call and prayer immediately. Lenny was not only informative but also polite, patient and he spoke to you as a human being who truly cared and understood your frustration of the unexpected. With no questions asked, He explained and reassured that payments can be done in installments (who does that!!!). Within 20 mins, Lenny was able to notify and send Richard, a very polite and professional team member to come check out the problem. My problem grew to be a very big problem that took 4 full day’s work to complete and by the time the job was completed I had 3 guys working inside and outside my house in the dark and using the headlights of the company’s van to finish the job.(Again who does that???). My light were flickering and I smelled something funny in my living room . I was worried . I called Lenny Mannino from Neighborhood Electric . He answered the phone and immediately calmed me down. They were able to get to my home within 35 minutes. After looking around and doing tests they found 2 burnt outlets. He explained how air conditioners space heaters and vacuum sometimes overload loose outlets and sometimes burn .. I’m so glad I called them , they were patient and extremely knowledgeable. They ran a few dedicated lines and upgraded my panel box . I want to thank Lenny and the Neighborhood Electric team .

Neighborhood Electric should have an AKA of Like Family Electric. The owner Lenny is extremely knowledgeable and has an amazing team, but for me, more importantly, he is “real” and a family man. Why is that important, because when u have more work required than expected and you don’t have the money right then and there he works with you. He will allow a payment plan without getting involved with credit checks. It’s an honor system so they trust us as family. (So do right by them also) Christmas time is coming and a call to Lenny...”would you be able to hold my December check and add it to the end, because it’s Christmas and I can use the money”. And with no hesitation he said of course. Now for those of you who don’t care about this and just want to know about the workers well the review gets even better. Lenny has amazing people on his team, they are incredible. All extremely polite, respectful and knowledgeable. They come in work hard, quickly and efficiently. Plus they actually clean up after themselves and care about your house that they are working in...hence the reason I said they are respectful. Prices are extremely fair especially when they are accepting a payment plan, because they don’t add any interest to it and try to hit you over the head. Lenny just truly wants to help all of his customers to make sure they get the best possible service and are happy. Should be no question for you as to whom you should hire. tried to rip us off. had no power to dishwasher. pseg told us the issue was with circuit breaker. the moment these guys arrived, they went through the whole house even the attic to do god only knows what. lenny told us the panel was burned inside (true) & we needed 2 new circuit breakers (true). then he said we needed to redo connections throughout house, splices & add a device ($1200), new panel ($2200), 3 new circuits ($675 each). you do the math! asked him to put the 2 breakers that were burned back in. they left us without any power, phone, wifi, unhooked garage door, took an extension cord to plug into refrigerator (all to scare us). but you know what? there is a god. we put everything back in and turned everything back on after he left. crooks!

Great Service!! We had an emergency (No Power) @ 8pm, contacted Neighborhood Electric and the owner Lenny was very helpful and patient while diagnosing the problem and making sure it was safe. He agreed to come the next morning, arrived as discussed and replaced our panel and entire service. The electricians did a great job, thorough, neat and answered any and all questions i had. It was a big job and they handled it like it was a walk in the park!! We now have an electrician we can trust!! Thank You for making us a priority in a very stressful situation!!

They discovered that water was getting into my electrical panel and that some of my breakers were compromised. They did not leave my house until it was safe. Peggy Geremia I had a sparking junction box in my attic and I called Lenny Mannino at Neighborhood Electric. Lenny had a crew to my house incredibly quickly and they addressed the problem, made the repairs and had the power restored quickly. The circuit involved was very overloaded and they split the circuit up and installed new devises where needed. I was concerned that there may be other problems so they inspected my entire house, installing designated lines where needed. The electricians were very knowledgeable, professional, polite, gracious, and worked diligently to get the job done. They answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. They were incredibly neat and tidy and when they were finished you would never know they had been there working. I would recommend them highly. They will definitely be my electricians going forward. I live in a house that needs work after being extremely damaged from old age neglect, and Hurricane Sandy. But Neighborhood Electric addressed my immediate concerns with patience and compassion. Having been through the devastation of Sandy in my other home, I'm living with the contents of 2 homes in the house I inherited after my mom passed. So I was worried that they would walk in and not take my job seriously. But they explained everything we needed and did an excellent job. I thank Lenny and the Neighborhood Electric team . They were extremely knowledgeable and very professional company . I would highly refer them to my friends and family. I noticed that my lights were dimming just slightly so I called Neighborhood Electric. They promptly came to my home only to realize that I had 2 outlets that looked fine from the outside but were actually burning and sizing on the inside . They also opened my panel box to find rust and moisture inside. The water was slowly leaking into my panel . They gave me a fair price to upgrade the service to 200 amps and was able to start the job the same day . I thank Lenny and the Neighborhood Electric team for being so professional.

We had a sudden emergency when the lights and electricity in 1/3 of the house flickered and then died. They arrived quickly, explained everything as they worked, and cleaned up neatly afterwards. Lenny was helpful, did good work, and worked out a reasonably priced plan for what was fairly extensive work. While I hope never to need their services again, I would certainly recommend them.

Read down in the reviews about the bait and switch. Watch they like to sell whole panel outside boxes at 5 grand when all you need is repair of small electrical problem also left me with non-working sprinklers and said wasn't their responsibility. Had much more electrical work that I gave to another honest electrician.

Huge red flag, came here to make sure anyone hoping to receive a fair price understands that this company will not let you do your own due diligence as a consumer to find the best service provider for you. 3 stars because Rob was very kind and thorough and i truly believe that this company could provide great service- it’s just too bad they are insecure about their pricing. (Why though? Are the prices that unfair? Was the business hoping to leech off of new, inexperienced homeowners?) Lenny himself said they do not offer competitive prices which is why they don’t even bother. Consider yourself warned: this business will prorate prices based on how much you can pay. Edit: changing the rating to four stars because the owner reminded us (with an early call) that he provided a lot of great customer service and that the reason he didn’t want to do business with us was because we claimed to have a friend or family member that was an electrician. He helped us figure out our electric after we moved into a new home and came home from dinner to find no power. He helped us until pretty late and we were ecstatic to find a helpful competent electrician, considering the amount of work that needs to be done to our new home. Lenny - if we had a family member who was an electrician, would we have needed to call you? Honestly, we still might consider working with you; assuming other places can’t offer the service you can, which you have proven you can provide.
