I have never had a more awkward conversation on the phone. 15 seconds of silence after each question while trying to take down our information. They called back a few minutes later asking for the same information I had just given. Couldn’t confirm a date, said they would call me back, never happened. Gave me a creepy feeling and now I’m regretting giving them my address. AVOID at all costs

Victor was tasked to upgrade my garage to 60Amps. Victor was extremely professional and completed the task with ease in 2 days. You can tell he has a lot of experience in the electrical field and knew exactly what he was doing. His pricing was fair and he arrived exactly at 8:59 for our 9am appointments. He even wore shoe socks inside my house to not get my floors dirty! Use this guy for your job. You won't regret it.

It should be evident from reading other reviews that these guys are great - excellent electricians, easy to work with, and fair prices for the job done well. I needed to have a new meter installed at my house and decided to go with AVD electric after reading many good reviews about them. It wasn't an easy job (any job dealing with town inspector and PSE&G isn't). Fortunately, Victor from AVD electric was there for us at every step of the road and the job was happily completed. Needless to say I highly recommend these guys for any electric work you'll need, big and small.

Vic of AVD Electric installed a transfer switch for a portable generator and did a very professional job, very neatly done, all in a timely manner. After being pleased with my first experience with Vic, I called him back for a second job a week later and he ran a new line for an attic fan. He had to make several holes in the wall boards of my attic to do so. With that being said, when he was finished you could hardly tell where the holes were - HIRE THIS MAN! i was extremely impressed with the fact that the electrician showed up on time as promised - which seems very rare these days - listened, and then quickly solved the problem. he had to go back to the warehouse for what he thought was an outdated part - he found the part - and came right back to finish the job. hopefully i won't need an electrician again for a long time but if so, i know who to call.

I've called upon Victor from AVD Electric multiple times over the last year or so to install replacement fixtures for LED lighting in a building that I manage. The job, quite frankly, is a pain, due to the fact that it was a fresh installation by a lighting company about five years ago, who has since gone out of business, only to leave me with defective lights that constantly fail and need to be replaced. In spite of this being a rather annoying, piecemeal type of job, Victor always comes through for me promptly, and gets the work done efficiently and affordably. Additionally, Victor is great at communicating and not leaving you waiting around for responses. As someone who reaches out to him frequently, believe me, I know. It's great having such an efficient, affordable, communicating professional in my corner, and I look forward to having Victor around to take care of my electrical issues for years to come.

I called to get an estimate to replace a federal pacific box with 60 amps. I have an electrician I work with in Hoboken (but he's swamped, I am a realtor and always referring business and he's so busy in Hoboken he doesn't do much out of the area) and am looking for a reliable one in Bergen county to handle some of my properties here. I read the good reviews and thought this could be my guy. He sounded like he didn't want to be bothered, he didn't want to come look and give me a written estimate. I need this done in about 3 weeks, trying to get everything lined up as I am redoing a kitchen and adding a dishwasher as well . When I asked him straight out if he wanted the work or didn't want to be bothered he hung up on me. Definitely not what I was expecting based on the reviews.

During the Hurricane Sandy my power was out and I couldn't find an electrician to come to my house to make the repair. AVD was working in the neighborhood. I never used his services before and didn't know him. The utility man was nice enough to find him and give him my phone number. He called me within 1/2 hour. He was so courteous and responsive I couldn't believe it. Every other emergency service I called tried to rip me off. AVD was reasonable and seemed very concerned that I had no power. He worked until all hours of the night to get me temporary power and came back in the morning for another three hours to complete the job. I have used many electricians over the years, by far AVD is the best and I wouldn't use anyone else. Today I called him to repair my circuit breaker box. He came repaired it and while he was here I had a light fixture in the basement that wasn't working, he changed the ballasts and it works perfectly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIS SERVICES AND HIS PRICING IS MORE THAN REASONABLE.

I have been in search of a reliable electrician that I can utilize for both small and big jobs. Many electricians won't even bother to return calls if all you need is a lightbulb changed. I contacted Victor one morning and the same evening he was present to see what I was asking for. I had started a project of mounting my television over my fireplace but needed all the wiring concealed as well as outlets installed. He not only gave me a more than reasonable price, but he went above and beyond when completing the job. I absolutely love that he takes his time and does not rush! He takes pride in his work and works with a calm, pleasant, knowledgeable demeanor.
