It is so rare these days to find a craftsman/worker who takes such pride in their job but Joe Giordano serviced my Generac Generator this AM and he is truly that rare person. They came to my home to service my generator during a winter storm last March 2018 within hours of my phone call and I did not even have a service contract at the time. When my generator would not start last evening during the power outage from the rain storm, I immediately called the 24 hour phone number and was told this morning that someone would definitely be at my home today. Espositos Generator Solutions/Electric installed a whole house GENERAC Generator in my parents home in Cranford. Not living in the state, I was wondering just how I might accomplish this for my parents when I began the process. I would like to say that Espositos went above and beyond what one would expect to make certain that this job went per my schedule of travel to NJ so that I could be there at all critical phases of the job and represent my parents' interests. Greg initially met with me educating us, inspecting the home, offering us options, and quickly pricing the job. He even offered to pick up the permit from the township if I was not in NJ at the time - amazing service! I next worked closely with Ashley C, who handled the schedule, permit process, and much more. She kept me informed regularly on the progress. I next worked with Christine, who actually was able to schedule the job prior to the permit being approved so that we could arrange for the work to be done while i was scheduled to be in NJ. She arranged for all township inspections, information about the installation, payment process, and much more. She was awesome! The installation crew was excellent. The two guys who came to do this work were quick, efficient, very knowledgeable, and neat. It was impressive to see them do all this work, and at the end of the day, you would not be able to tell that they were even there, except for the generator sitting outside! A great crew! Once the gas leak check was complete, Frank Z. came to do the actual system testing, startup, and education for how to properly operate and maintain the unit. He was sooooo knowledgeable on everything, even the APP, which allows me to monitor the unit from my home in Phoenix! Everything went very smoothly, just as he had planned. He was so very patient to answer all of my questions, and he always had an answer! I highly recommend Esposito's Electric/Generator Solutions for a project such as this. They insure that everything goes smoothly, they are willing to work with you, they offer a very fair, competitive price, and the job gets done properly, just as they've communicated. Today he was to install a Master Bathroom Nutone Exhaustb replacement fan that I had ordered based on Serial and Model Number he had retrieved for me. Well to my surprise the new Nutone fan motor that I received was correct as per Serial # and Model # but the manufacturer had a model design change where the housing design changed. I was ready to return the fan. Dan from Esposito Electric however was not at all frazzled by this and made it all work out! Great can do attitude! In addition, they are very clean wearing booties when they come into your home and clean up thoroughly. Esposito Electric will always get my business. I highly recommend them! Ben Y was great. My plug-in wifi extender blew up and almost set my house on fire. I called Ben's company Esposito Electric and they came out promptly. Good thing they did--the outlet was still smouldering when Ben arrived. He shut down the correct breaker (I thought I had done so but hadn't) and immediately diagnosed the issue and repaired the outlet. Ben was awesome, he simply gets it done and doesn’t make excuses or complicate matters. He had to work in a very tight place in the attic Which he did without issue. The company is divided into a repair and installation divisions, which is annoying when you need both types of work done, but Ben did both because he said it wouldn’t make sense to have someone else come back to perform a small project just because it wasn’t in the division in which she worked. How refreshing, a home repair person who gets it and thinks on his feet! I’ve been using this company for years and they certainly have gotten a bit disheveled, especially the front office, but the guys in the field are excellent.

Joe was amazingly through and while he worked he explained to me all the important aspects I should be aware of to help prevent unforeseen problems including to spray around the outside of the gernerator for ants and spiders which could nest inside the computer controls. He also noticed that the generator was not screwed down when it was installed and was sliding off its pad. He secured the generator and completed a full service wiping everything down after he completed the service. I remarked that the generator looked brand new. He completed a test run and explained everything he was doing. He also informed me that Esposito's also offers electrical services in the event I needed work done of which I didn't know. I told my two neighbors who also have a generac generator to ask for Joe Giordano when their service is due. He's a dedicated and extremely professional person, which comes at a premium today, so I felt he must be recognized. He certainly an asset to Esposito.

Here are the facts, I had a service box (containing the main meter and holding the main lines from the power company, in this case underground) that was pulled off its attachment on the side of our house, mainly due to soil erosion. The repair would require a permit from the Township, shutting down incoming electricity by the power company, repair by an electrician, power back on and inspection by the Township. Esposito quoted $1050 for labor and parts, excluding cost incurred to the power company for scheduling main power off/on (which is another $200). The reason given for the high cost is the requirement for a full day work by an electrician, which includes actual labor and the time spent on site waiting for the power company service truck and the Township inspector. Parts cost covering a new polyvinyl compressible tube holding the power lines and 4 screws, was minor. It took 2 months and 4 days for Esposito to schedule the work, when the power company could come anytime and the Township only requires a week or so (I cross checked these facts). The whole work was actually completed within a morning, 3.5 hours to be exact. Taking into consideration the labor required in getting the Township permit and time on the phone scheduling the power company truck and the inspector, I am allowing for another 1.5 hours of labor at the office. The actual cost per hour of labor charged was then $210. Was this fair? You'll be the judge! Personally, I felt I have been had, both in terms of cost and scheduling.

Joe Giordano, Generator Technician, conducted a generator start up on my recently purchased Generac generator.Joe is very knowledgable and explained in detail the function and operation of the Automatic Transfer Switch. He also did a through review of the key elements of operating the compressor and offered interesting suggestions on the importance of properly maintaining the compressor. Joe is a very experienced, professional and articulate when discussing various aspects of the compressor. He is also very patient and goes out of his way to make sure that you actually understand what he has said before moving on to the next point. It was a pleasure having Joe share his experience and vast knowledge of generators.
