Horrible service! This is my first time giving a one star review and it is well deserved. I was directed to Corbin Electrical Services via Home Depot. I needed a large project done and was willing to pay for quality work. After Corbin received the lead from Home Depot, I got a call within the hour. That's where being timely stopped. It took a week for someone from Corbin to come to my home for the assessment. After that I heard NOTHING. I waited. Then waited. Then waited some more. After two and a half weeks I called them. No return call. I called two more times only to be told that I would contacted later in the day. Nothing. Two days later I received a proposal via email asking for my signature to begin the work! Really? Poor customer service. No respect for a client's time. They must be doing really well to throw away business. I was ready to move forward but they were too far behind. After reading other reviews I;m glad it didn't work out. Do not call Corbin Electrical!! They have too many clients to be bothered with you. Two thumbs down.

Chris, upon my request, and Brett were at our home to check a blown pendant light in my kitchen. Before they arrived, I received an email from Corbin Electric telling me they're on their way. That was then followed by a call from Chris giving me a 10 minute heads up. Always professional and personable, Chris diagnosed the problem and gave us our options. We decided to have the fixture rewired which involves a third party. Chris recommended a place where we could have the repair done. As soon as our repair is completed we'll be contacting Corbin to have it installed.

Run don't walk away from this horrific company. We had a whole house gas generator installed by this terrible company a few years ago. They installed the generator so that the exhaust faced an open grate leading into our basement. With the recent power outage, the generator ran for much longer than it had previously. At 3:30 AM our carbon monoxide detector went off. The levels of carbon monoxide in our home where at such a dangerously high level(according to the meter that the fire department used), that if we did not have a carbon monoxide alarm in our home my entire family would have died. When we informed Corbin about the fact that they almost killed my family, to say that they were less than concerned would be an understatement. When they did come to "correctly" re-install the generator, they left a giant hole in my lawn where the generator previously was. When I asked them when they would be back to repair the damage to my lawn, they said it's my problem to repair because they re-installed the generator for free. WOW, that was so nice of them after they almost KILLED my family. I am begging ALL Monmouth County residents to stay as far away as possible from this HORRIBLE company.

We changed out all of our pool equipment this year and hired Corbin Electrical Services to do all the electrical work as to the pump and timers and electric ignition for the heater etc. On time, professional, excellent work, and reasonably priced. I had recess lights put in living room and bedroom. The work was done as scheduled and cleanly. There was a minor issue with the color of the light from the LEDs as it didn't match the color of the light from the other recess lights (also LED) I have in other rooms. (The new LEDs emitted whiter color light than other/older LED recess lights I have in other rooms.) Corbin Electric exchanged the lights for warmer light emitting LEDs for free, and now everything matches. I am very pleased with their work overall.

Teribble. First they told me they needed a subpanel, then at the next visit they said I need a 100-amp panel. I paid $100 for a 100-amp permit, then the day of the work they change their minds and say they need a 200-amp panel for $400 more. Price just keeps going up every time. No accountability.

Wow, I'm obviously in the minority here. Was not happy at all with service. Bought a Generac whole home generator last May. The final electrical inspection just happened yesterday, over a year it took. They also used a flex house in a place where another authorized Generac tech told me it violates the warranty. Says it right on sticker. They were also supposed to correct 2 electrical issues. Tech told inspector that it's not his work, so not his responsibility, so it did pass but it still needs to be fixed (that's why their tech came an hour before inspector). Then on top, they wanted me to pay $300 for the tech to sit around and wait, while the contract never stated it. They even used a non Generac cement pad which has already cracked and crumbled. (You PAY for a Generac Pad)

When I called to find out how to get replacements, I was told the work was still under warranty and they would send someone out. They came out and took care of things for us in good time. Absolutely terrible experience. They work with Home Depot (I don't blame Home Depot). I had set up a free estimate at Home Depot in regards to a generator. I'm old fashioned and wanted to work with an individual to find out more but the representative that they sent to my home was miserable from the start (Jerry Satchell). On the phone he wanted to cancel my appointment simply because I didn't read all of the material that they had emailed me. What happen to presentations? He was late. Then as he came into my home he had a nasty look on his face. Acted as if I was bothering him. When I actually got fed up enough and asked him if I was bothering him he had the nerve to explain why. I asked him to leave my home. All because he didn't feel that he wasn't going to get a quick sale out of it. When I went to complain to the sales manager he was at least cordial but you could tell he did not care. He kept stepping over me in conversation and felt it was more important to get out what he needed to say as opposed to listening to an unhappy potential client. You would think that visiting homes would be an excellent opportunity to market your business to get future business even though I may not have purchased the generator right away. I'm a new homeowner who has other electrical needs, will probably own different homes in the future, with family and friends who all have other electrical/generator needs. Not too smart in my opinion. Hopefully you'll get someone else as a rep who has a bit more social etiquette. Be careful with these guys.

They have done everything from basic repairs and updating and replacing entire electrical panels to installing a new generator system. All of the employees are professional and show that they care about the work they are doing. I got quotes from Corbin and the other PremierPro dealer in NJ and although Corbin had the higher quote I decided to go with them because of their supposed reputation - they are Home Depot's dealer and do more home standby generator installations than anybody else in the state. I have regretted this decision at almost every turn. For example their responsive to emails is poor at best. I was told 6-9 weeks for installation but had to track them down at the end of 9 weeks to see what was going on. They finally set up a date for the technician to come by the end ofthe day of they never showed up. They finally called near the end of the day to say they would be really late - well beyond the time they had said and that their work might go on to til late which is unacceptable. So they rescheduled for a different day. When they finally come that day there was NO generator! I was NEVER told this. So they worked most of the day to do the electrical work. These guys had no clue when the generator would come - great communication between the admin office and the techs to say the least. Then I get a call a few days later saying the generator is ready. BTW each time I have to rearrange my work schedule to accommodate this extremely unprofessional company - which btw as you can imagine I am paying good hard earned money to so my family will be ok in the event of a power outage. When they finally come with the generator the status light is not working. No one follows up with me so I have to again track them down and they tell me there is a ticket in for that whatever that means. At this point I have already paid them. When my township inspector comes it passes the electric but fails the plumbing. So Corbin sends someone out to address the plumbing and the tech says he addressed the issue. Then a few days later when I get around to inspecting the generator I notice the green status light is no longer on. Of course the status light was never working correctly so the red is not flashing. I log into my app and it says generator not working need to call your dealer. I call and they are trying to give me the runaround. They finally tell me that the gas was shut off when the technician came to address the inspection issue and that until reinspection is done it will not work! This is unbelievable as no one told me this and I had to track these folks down. Again I was promised 6-9 weeks and if this gets resolved it will have been 4-5 months. This is unbelievable to say the least. I cannot believe that Generac gives this company Premier Pro status. I have advised everyone who has asked about my experience (at least 7 people so far) NOT to use this company and fortunately they have heeded my advice.

I called for an appointment. The scheduler said I will have an estimator come out to your house. I told her I didn't need an estimate. I just need an electrician to come out because we have no lights in the closet. I told her that we had alot off work done with Corbin and recently two months ago. She said ok. Jimmy will be at your house tomorrow 4:00. When he came he looked at the work needed to be done and said I will email you an estimate when I get back to the office. I said I told her I didn't need an estimate that what ever the price of the work I agree to it. My wife called she spoke to the same to the receptionist and asked for a supervisor. He told my wife you could have had an electrician. It's not our policy to always have an estimator come out. He then said I will look into it and have someone call you back in awhile. The same woman (scheduler) called and I spoke to her she said I emailed you the estimate. I then said when I spoke to you I didn't need an estimate I am familiar with Corbin's prices and that I only wanted an electrician to fix my problem. She said to me perhaps you didn't understand what she had said. I said I understood what you said but you didn't understand what I asked for. She didn't even offer an apology she said that an electrician will be there Thursday between 3&5. She didn't even ask me if that time frame is good for me. I told her I've always done business with your company. But I am finding another business, because you couldn't even offer an apology you only wanted to put the blame on me. I will have to go other places now and I have a lot more electrical work to have done on my house. What a shame.

Have used Corbin for past 7 years on general electrical maintenance; installing new outlets, installing attic fans, pool lighting etc ... A year after Sandy, we bought a standby generator from the Home Depot which was installed by Corbin. The Corbin sales rep was knowledgeable and carefully considered our back-up needs. She didn't try to sell us the highest priced unit but just the one to fit our needs which I appreciated. Installation of the unit including the wiring and new breaker box was done well with a thorough walkthrough of the features of the unit and how it would work in loss of power situations. I've also been subscribing to their yearly generator maintenance program as well. The maintenance program can seem a bit pricy but you get what you pay for in terms of complete semi-annual checkups which, for me, is well worth it for peace of mind. Will continue to use Corbin for my electrical needs and would definitely recommend to anyone as well.

Very dishonest and dangerous company. Matt from Corbin Electrical came out to my house on June 6th to give me an estimate on a generator. Shortly after he left my residence half the house lost power. I called his cell phone number that he gave us as well as the number for Corbin electrical several times leaving several messages on their emergency line and no one has called us back. Under no circumstances should this company be used.

In the course of the three months that Corbin Electrical Services (Marlboro, NJ) worked on installing my whole-house Generac generator, I met or spoke with at least nine different staff members (admin, gas, electric) and I can say with 100% confidence that every single one of them did a superb job. Although I got three estimates before choosing a contractor, I went with Corbin because of the initial contact - Matt - who I found to be highly trustworthy.
