We once called George at nearly midnight on a holiday weekend because we couldn’t switch our power back from generator to house and he returned our call within 20 minutes and reminded us of a step we’d missed. We have used George and his team for just about the last 30 years that we have owned our house in Montclair - everything from updating the wiring we inherited to putting in timer lights to repairing the electric feed to the house when a tree branch pulled down our wires. George always answers my calls right away and is able to schedule repairs and improvements quickly. We have never had any problems with quality - the job is done right the first time. I rarely give 5 star reviews, but in this case it is certainly warranted.

My personal experience with this company was not good. Large late 70's building. We thought common area fire/smoke alarms neededi replacement alarms due to frequent triggering. Without a walk through of the entire building fire/smoke alarms were replaced when in actuality it was the heat sensors in common areas of the building. Imagine how the cost of the project spiraled. While our own building maintence director bears some of the blame for this debacle when you go to a company such as Anderson you expect to be able to gain their professional expertise in reviewing/diagnosing the problem. The way it worked in this instance was --- keep replacing equipment until the solution was found. Again, poor building management on our part which Anderson had to deal with -- poor diagnosis repair skills on Anderson's part. When you go to a Doctor you expect correct diagnosis skills -- not let's keep operating until we find the problem.

Outstanding work and they couldn't be nicer. We had a bathroom exhaust fan replaced, the bathroom light/fan switch and outlets converted to GFI, and had 2 hallway recessed lights replaced with LED fixtures. The Anderson Electric crew arrived on time and completed the job faster than expected. They were very careful not to damage anything, laying drop cloths in the work area, and even vacuumed when finished. Not only were they very professional, but also very friendly, neatly dressed and very polite. I highly recommend Anderson Electric to anyone needing an electrician. I will surely use them again.
