A neighbor called me at work saying that water was leaking from my house into the street. I immediately left work and called my plumber from my car. They told me no one was available. While stopped at a light on Mc Carter highway, an Air Group van pulled up next to me. I’ve used Air Group for years for heating and AC. On the side of their truck it said they also do plumbing. I called and was told they would send a plumber to my house. The plumber arrived 10 minutes after I did, quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. As usual the Air Group employees were courteous and professional. The charges were reasonable. They even called a water mitigation company to come in a dry out my basement. It’s comforting to know I can call Air Group and someone will come quickly.

I HAVE BEEN AN AIR GROUP CUSTOMER FOR OVER 20 YEARS. WHEN I MOVED INTO MY HOME I HIRED THEM TO REPLACE THE EXISTING HEAT AND AIR CONDITIONING IN MY HOME. I WAS AMAZED AT HOW THEY WERE SO ORGANIZED FROM START TO FINISH ! THEY REMOVED AND REPLACED THE ENTIRE SYSTEM IN ONE DAY... I have been a long time customer of Air Group. However, after a conversation with one of their service managers, Gary Haar, I will no longer be using them for anything. We had been having an issue with an ac unit that they installed and warrantied. We decided to get a second opinion and then get back to Air Group. When we called them to schedule an appointment, Heather, who answered the phone, told us that Gary no longer wanted to service our account. Since he wasn’t brave enough to tell us himself, we insisted on speaking with him to find out why. He really offered no good explanation and sounded petty, childish and frankly bothered that we had involved another company. It almost sounded like we had hurt Gary’s feelings. We eventually hung up on him after he continued to whine about no longer servicing the account. This could be the worst customer service I have ever received, especially from a company with which I spent tens of thousands of dollars. We will now be happy to spend that money with one of the many other companies in the area and will spread the word about how badly we were treated.

Unit is only a few years old and having major issues. Getting someone on-site is no problem, just costs $200+ /visit EVEN when no work or analysis has been done. They make their own time to visit if doesn’t work for you they show up and charge you fee. Completely unsatisfied with their service and support. Choose someone else.

Just had an Air Group service technician, Will, storm off without finishing the job. He was rude initially and things escalated further when he refused to walk us through the problem (very basic stuff that every technician does as part of their job). He refused to answer questions and behaved like a petulant child... even when I apologized and tried to de-escalate the situation. I've never seen such unprofessional behavior. It was shocking.

We have been using Air Group for years to maintain and service our AC units. We always work with Orlando, who is amazing. He is hardworking, dedicated, and an excellent troubleshooter. He will go "above and beyond" to make sure any problem is correctly solved. On top of his talent and knowledge, he is also patient, communicative and courteous. The office staff is also excellent; I had the pleasure today to speak to both Amy and Mary. They are always responsive and helpful.

They came to “fix the AC” at my job maybe like 10 times within the past month, all different guys and it’s still not working. Thanks for nothing. One of the guys had no idea what he was doing and froze our pipes. Would not recommend. Get somebody who knows what they’re doing and actually care about people.

It's a rip off company. Even though I told them exactly what was broken and needed to be replaced, they charged me diagnostics fee anyway. Definitely, do not use them. There are decent HVAC companies in the area.

We needed a new AC and furnace. We also wanted to replace our nonfunctioning humidifier and add a higher quality air filter. Airgroup was amazing from the first phone call to set up an appointment for a quote to the follow up after the install. John-Paul was our representative and he arrived on time, was professional, and gave us an extremely comprehensive quote. We got quotes from 2 other companies that were in a similar price range. They suggested that we add an additional return vent, which made complete sense. We moved forward with Airgroup because they were by far the most detailed and well thought-out. On the day of the install, John-Paul came promptly at 7:30 AM with the large crew to get everything started. The crew worked all day and were extremely neat and courteous. They did not leave until they had tested everything several times and made sure it worked properly. Then, the crew leader gave us an extensive overview of how everything worked and answered all of our questions. They left around 5:30 or 6PM. A week later, John-Paul checked in with us to make sure we were happy with everything. He even took the time to answer a few more questions I had. I'm so impressed! I intend to use Airgroup again and recommend them to others as well.

This place is awesome! I've used them several times now and each time fully satisfied. The guys are always very friendly, courteous and experienced. They also are timely are arrive in the window you are given (and usually early which is also a nice bonus!) I find their prices to be very reasonable given the work quality. They don't try to up-sell you but will give you recommendations of what they think needs to be done. I would definitely recommend them for your plumbing, gas and air needs.

We had a severe water leak at our distribution center during 8 degree weather. Air Group quickly dispatched an experienced and committed team to repair the leak under very difficult circumstances. They clearly explained what needed to done, performed the work and stayed to assure the leak was fixed properly.

Top notch! AirGroup is the standard by which I judge any other home contractor. I've run a service contracting business (fire sprinklers) in the past and helped train business owners in HVAC and plumbing. Seriously they're the best around. They're professional, they're prompt, and they're honest. I've had them replace the equipment in my home in Livingston (first AC, then heat a few years later) and I've helped a senior citizen neighbor who had a carbon monoxide issue in an old furnace replace her equp't with them. Over 20 years with them. I highly recommend AirGroup to friends and neighbors. I know what this stuff costs and I never feel cheated by what I pay AirGroup. In my opinion, you will never regret a decision to go with AirGroup. Yes, there will be some guy in a beat up old van who can 'do it cheaper.' But will he do it right? Maybe, maybe not. Will he be around to answer for his work? Almost surely not. I can set my watch by the AirGroup guy's promised 9am arrival. We even had them out on a hot Sunday. I work with service businesses all year, in many ways, and I put AirGroup at the very top of my list. Look at the people who gush about the service they got (as do I) and see why. Or look me up and call if you don't believe it.

Despite not being an existing customer Dee sent Jon to my house simply because I placed my original emergency call prior to closing time. Jon got there at 10p and had no intentions on leaving until my problem was resolved and was preparing up to return the following day if need be. However after going through the process of elimination , jon was able to save me money with a well thought out resolution. I will use this company again.

My 6 year old Generac Eaton standby generator was starting up and then stalling at the weekly exercise schedule. Called Air Group as a non customer and they promptly scheduled a service call for the next afternoon. Kyle the technician arrived promptly and I explained the problem. He immediately said it was probably the battery and tested it with his gauges. Sure enough it was exactly as he diagnosed and replaced with a new battery. He was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and explained everything.and is definitely an asset to AirGroup. I’m now a new and confident customer.

Recently had Air Group remove my old AC system and install a new variable speed Carrier unit. I cannot say enough about the professionalism of this organization. Barely even one week passed from the sales call to the one day installation. Their service teams are highly available and responsive and their installations are done in one day as promised. The company also provides licensed plumbing and electrical services; a true one-stop shop. As a home owner, the most important trait that I look for is 100% confidence that my systems will be kept up and running - all of them. There is nothing worse than getting home at 9pm on a Sunday night to no heat and hot water. One call and I was up and running within a few hours.

Work completed on 6-15-17 was a new whole house water softener, upgrade to 3/4 inch piping and replacement of kitchen and bathroom faucets. Total cost $3450.00. Here in Parsippany, we have hard water. Our 10 year old oil furnace needed a coil replacement due to hot water flow issues. However it did not solve the problem. My first call and only call was to Air Group since I have them servicing my central a/c unit. A technician came out and tested the hot water and the recommendation was to install a whole house water softener and replace the old 1/2" copper pipes with 3/4" pex. After a few minor issues regarding the hot water flow in the kitchen and master bathroom, it was recommended the faucets be changed. This was a good call cause once they were changed the flow dramatically improved. My thanks to Mike who initially came out and worked well into the night and supervisor Brian James and plumbing expert Matt for following up to be sure we were satisfied with the work that was done. It was worth the price, since we now have a good hot water flow and are using less dish washing liquid and water to rinse the dishes and we are seeing virtually no spots on the shower glass doors. Our 11 year old dishwasher has never cleaned better with the addition of the water softener. The water has a nice clean and silky feel to it. So as they say "Happy Wife, Happy Life". Make Air Group your first call.

Do not waste your time with this company. Giancarlo came over to give me an estimate on a new A/C unit. Came Tuesday and waited 10 days and still no call, email, or estimate. I even called and emailed to see where it was and nothing. They told me Giancarlo will send me an email. Why bother sending a sales rep to your home if he is not going to get you an estimate for a new AC.

Had a leak coming from my old aircon/furnace unit in the basement. Tried to locate the issue and saw that water was coming from the evaporator. I called AirGroup, expecting the worst (having to replace evaporator or whole furnace). They had James come over (on time) and take a look at things. To complicate things, we had a power outage in the neighborhood so there was no way run the aircon. James started by looking for the simplest (cheapest) possible cause of failure. He thought it was the condensate drain which was clogged. After some quick dismantling and flushing of the pipes, it was put back. He poured some water over the evaporator coil and it appeared to run through the condensate drain as intended. But there was no way to determine if the pump was working or not (no power), so the jury was still out on whether it would overflow or not. I also showed him a small leak from a non-related water pipe valve in the basement ceiling. He got out his wrench and had it fixed in no time. James was good at explaining what he was doing which gave me an appreciation of the most likely cause of the issue. He never went down the route of "ohh...this is an old unit, we'll probably have to replace x". Once the electricity came back (9h later), I checked the aircon and the pump. It was working as intended. No more leakage on the basement floor! All fixed at a very reasonable cost!

Air Group has done a complete make over on our home. Heating, Air Conditioning, Humidification, and whole house generator. All work was done on time, on budget, with the utmost professionalism and cleanliness, and lightening fast. Highly recommend giving them a look for any home mechanical needs.

Horrible experience from calling to place a work order to the final service. Technician running late and another came in his place and got the work done within time, only for original technician to come in and start dawdling on unnecessary stuff so they could bill for another half hour. Very unprofessional behavior in my opinion. This is why one should not use hourly billing companies cos they are trained to waste as much of your time as possible and then charge you for it. The first technician that came by was wonderful and I feel we would have had a better experience if the older more cynical technician did not come by at a much later time than even agreed upon for the work order. Again very unprofessional behavior on his part.

I had my ac and furnace replaced and I have to say very satisfied. You can tell that air group is there to finish the job on time as promised. And they aren’t in the business of poor quality work. We paid for 8 hours of labor when the job should have been completed in 3 hours. Not only that I had to pay $900 for a second plumber when it's a 1 person job! I did not see the 2nd person assist more than 1 hour and was never told I would have to pay the full labor cost for him to literally hang out. Some parts were marked up to 5x the cost at Home Depot including charging me for 10 ft copper pipe when they used 1 ft. They charged two hours for the time it took them to get parts. I would NEVER recommend them.

Nicholas came early morning and got the job done. He was very professional and knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything. Would contract their services again if necessary.

I returned home on a Thursday evening to find a 20 year old furnace not working and a hot water heater leaking. I left a message with Air Group that I needed service the next morning. Air group called at 7am, had a technician out by 8:30 am, a furnace repair estimate by 9:00, a price on the water softener and on replacement of the furnace by 10am, and new water heater in my house by 11am. The furnace was replaced the following Monday. My second furnace (which Air Group had not touched) failed the following Tuesday night. I called Air Group about 10am Wednesday and the furnace was fixed by noon. Their do nice work, clean up thoroughly after themselves, and are pleasant and professional. They gave me a good price on the furnace and water heater package. This service is the best I have experienced from any contractor.

I would highly recommend this company. We recently had a ductless mini split ac system installed in our house. Giancarlo, the sales rep, explained in detail the system. After listening to what we were looking for, he picked the best one to fit our house. The installers arrived on time and were friendly and courteous. Been a customer of Air Group (Comfort Conditioning) for over 40 years. We still get the same great and reliable service today that we did in the 1970’s. Air Group’s technicians and office support staff always come through when you need them. They stand by their work and are quick to respond when you need them. Air Group's plumber, Mike, did an excellent job in replacing my subpump in my basement today. Mike is professional and thorough in doing his job and everything was done in a caring and neat way. He also cared detalis and carried out his job towards perfection. For example, he used a marker labelling neatly in capital letters on the two pumplines as "EMERGENCY PUMP", and MAIN PUMP" which were not labeled before; he aslo mount my pump alam box on the wall which was awkwardly tapped under the pipe by a previous installer. Although these are insignificant and not required him to do, he did take effort to do them without being asked, indicating his good attitude towards his job and trying to make his customer satisfied. He also patiently explained to me how the pump system work. I am glad Air Group sent Mike over to fix my subpump and will reccomend him to my friends. This is the second time I use Air Group and both services are fully satisfied.

Expensive work, but got my AC working. Air Group came highly recommended to me, so I chose to use them, understanding that there is a $149 full diagnostic charge (which does not contribute to any labor/repair work done). James, the technician was good, professional, and explained the work and testing that he was doing when asked. My AC unit stopped blowing cold air. James quickly found that the unit's capacitor was dead. The additional cost to replace the capacitor.... $237!!! On top of the $149. The same type capacitor on Amazon costs about $20. I'll give them $37, if they want to claim that their capacitor is better. So now there's $200 left for labor??? It's a 10 minute job, tops, to put in the new capacitor and get the AC unit on again. All he needed to do was brace the capacitor to the unit with a screw, plug in the wires, screw cover back on, plug in fuse and the unit is back on. Add another 15-20 minutes to perform more diagnostics to check the air flow temperature and make sure there are no other issues (there were none). So that puts labor cost at $400 per hour! ($200 for 30 minutes of work). Total bill for about 1 hr of work and a $20 capacitor is $411 after tax. In reality, James was at my house longer, since we had to wait for Air Group to deliver the correct sized capacitor needed, since he did not have it in his truck. I'm all for paying a fair price, but I have to say that charging me $237 to replace the capacitor is expensive. I don't blame James, the tech, as he's telling me it is the main office that sets that pricing and that he tried to negotiate a better price for me. I would have considered using Air Group to perform service maintenance on my units, but not now. I think they did good work (James put on the shoe covers to keep my floors clean, a plus in my book) but they are too expensive for the work that was done. I cannot recommend them, unless you are fine to spend the money.

Wife called me at work saying the furnace wasn't working and the house was steadily getting colder and colder. Called Air Group at 4PM for an emergency diagnostic and hopefully a repair. Technician arrived within 40 minutes of our call, figured out the issue, had it repaired and was out the door by 5:30PM. Pricing seemed to be fair and as quoted before arrival/installation. Not sure how it could get much better in terms of promptness, have had it take longer to get a pizza delivered!! Abe was great!

My homes found a best friend when Air Group came to visit 15 years ago. Two houses, Irene, Sandy and many storms prior, I could count on Air Group to be there to stand by their installations. Their support is amazing and their ability to install and maintain - outstanding. I recently wanted some wiring to be modified on my generator and was most pleased by the way the company responded. Shout out to all the Chris's, Franz, James, Eric, Jason, and Nick - as well as the scheduling team.
