Did Preventive Maintenance on water heater and noticed Relief Valve was chipped/rusty. Suggested replacement but was not pushy. Every time we call Heritage they send someone right out, whether its an emergency or not and this time was no different. We needed electricity run for a water heater so we could switch from propane to electric. The electrician Matt Broadway came out quickly assessed the job, explained to my wife and I what had to be done and once approved did the job. No fooling around, he got everything completed in a couple of hours, cleaned his work area and explained to us how to use the switch, connection, and circuit breaker. Matt was very pleasant and respectful. Yesterday we got a quote from Mike Vallee for the actual conversion and installation of the water heater. Mike was also very pleasant , informative and gave us a quote. Again, amazing service! Which is why I end up going back to Heritage every time I need something done.

Review of Heritage Plumbing in Auburn, NH: If I could give negative stars, I would. I had a home inspection done on a property I was purchasing and found that the kitchen sink did not drain. The property owner (an 80 year old woman) called in heritage. They charged her $836 and when I moved in, the sink was STILL clogged. I called, they sent out a service person who informed me that “the warranty follows the home owner”. I asked how that made any sense...the previous owner couldn’t take the drain WITH her! He said “that’s just what I was told. I will have my manager call you” and he left. Keep in mind that they also changed this ELDERLY WOMAN and additional $69 for their one year Home Advantage Membership...for a property that was selling in a month and that would not transfer to the new owner. So, if you are planning to sell your home and need work done, or if you are elderly and don’t want to be taken advantage of, or if you are like me and you don’t want to support a company with shady business practices, I would suggest staying away from Heritage. Oh, and it’s been 4 days and I’m still waiting for that call from the manager. I won’t hold my breath.

The technician who came to our home was very helpful and courteous, and the work seems to be done well. We were desperate to get our water back on, and Heritage was able to get someone out promptly. I liked that the arrival window was only an hour long, rather than half the day, as it is with some companies. We were really shocked by the price. It was HIGH. Even though I was anxious to get my water back on, I decided to pay the $89 for the service call/estimate and find someone else. Rather than lose our business, the technician called his boss, and he was able to negotiate the price down by hundreds of dollars, IF I purchased the membership for $65. We ended up deciding to just get the work done with the lowered price. The work is guaranteed and seems to be done well. They seem to have great availability compared with smaller companies, but you will definitely pay a higher price due to the amount of money they invest in advertising. The technician was friendly and professional.

I am very happy and satisfied with my experience with Heritage from the initial telephone call to the gentleman who came to my home to check the heat tape and install whatever sections need to be replaced or added. This was my first experience with heat tape under my mobile home and my ignorance of the entire system caused me to be worried about my pipes with the winter coming. The woman on the telephone (sorry I don't remember her name) was very friendly and helpful. Chris Hadley was my service person who called me before he arrived and was very polite and knowledgeable. I called on Sunday 7/21 regarding a cracked cast iron main drain pipe that was leaking water. I received a call back from Matt with Heritage on Monday morning 7/22 to complete a quote and remove the cast iron main drain pipe and replace with PVC. He also went above and beyond and found a clog in our piping as well and was able to clear that. We were completely satisfied with the service Heritage and Matt provided. We had Matt come yesterday for what turned out to be a pretty big leak from an old pipe coupled with a broken toilet flange. He was very thorough in his diagnosis, checking carefully every possibility and reporting back to me what he found. It was an expensive repair ($2K) but all told he was here for a day and a half of constant work. He left everything very clean and tidy when he was done. I've never had a service provider be so tidy. He was very nice and friendly to have around and didn't mind at all my dog (who took a shine to him). Though I can't speak to cost - whether this was on the high or middle end of pricing - I do feel very comfortable that Matt did an excellent job and was worth every penny. Calling Heritage is always an easy process and they are good about confirming appts, etc.

Heritage responded to my distress call on a Saturday night. Our water heater alarm was set off when the water heater pan filled up. The tank must have begun leaking within the prior hour or so based upon the rate of water I observed leaking out. The plumber called us couple of times. The first was to let us know that he would be at our house within an hour. The second time to let us know he expected to be at our house in about 15 minutes. After he determined what the specific issue was he gave me our options, including prices, and told me he hoped to be able to replace the water heater later that day (it was actually after midnight by this time). I gave him the go ahead and he arrived mid-morning Sunday with the replacement water heater. It took him most of the day to install and test the new water heater. This was obviously very important to my wife and I, but not as important as what he did while he was performing this service. When the plumber returned Sunday morning he noticed a certain odor in the basement. No it wasn't a dead body! Apparently we had a gas leak. He used his portable gas meter reader to trace the leak to our gas meter that was also inside the basement, in a separate closet. My wife had mentioned (once) about a week or so ago that she thought she smelled gas. I walked around the house and basement but didn't smell anything. The plumber showed me exactly where his gas meter was indicating a leak. It was then that my wife and I remembered that the gas company replaced the meter about 12 days prior to the water heater leak. We called the gas company and within an hour or so they sent the same technician that installed the meter to examine the leak. He determined that one of the O rings had failed (cracked). Sound familiar? This O ring was one of three new O rings that he replaced upon installing the new meter. Thanks to Heritage's plumber his action helped to avoid a potentially serious incident. We are very thankful that Richard Carmichael answered our service request! This was also the weekend when the temperatures approached 100 degrees both days of the weekend, making it essential that we have our water heater replaced as soon as possible. Richard was friendly, polite, and cleaned up the area he worked around. Other than the hot water you would never know that he spent half of the weekend in our basement. Thank you Richard. Thank you very much!

Beware: most of these reviewers are leaving their first review because Heritage has been known to ask people to leave reviews. People who aren't experienced in dealing with contractors might leave great reviews if they FEEL good about how they were treated because they are ignorant of the mechanical aspects. To the person whose water heater was disconnected until she could afford to replace it. PLEASE contact your local Code Dept. or hire a different company for a second opinion on the water heater and your options. Read Yelp reviews about Heritage. Be sure you aren't being pushed into an unnecessary and overpriced replacement.

We started having issues with our water heater producing hot water on and off for a few days. Called Heritage and they were able to get a guy out to us the next day. When Matt showed up, he was able to determine that our pressure sensor was faulty. Since it was the weekend and most stores were closed he wasn’t able to order the part until Monday. He picked up the part on Tuesday and replaced it only to find out that the water heater was still having issues firing up. After some more diagnostics it was determined that the vent line was the issue. The line was way too long and needed to be shortened. Matt was able to reroute the line to shorten the distance and now it’s firing up like a champ! Very satisfied with the professionalism with Matt and Heritage! I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely be calling them when it’s time to install a tankless water heater!

We had a wonderful experience with Heritage! We had two issues with our furnace that came up during a home inspection. We set up the appointment with their friendly and competent office staff. A reminder came a few days before and on the day of the appointment. Jake called 30 minutes before arriving. He diagnosed the issues and told me exactly what the problems were and how he planned to fix them. He is easy to talk to and I trusted him. Turns out the issues were not as serious as we had thought. We had Matt come yesterday for what turned out to be a pretty big leak from an old pipe coupled with a broken toilet flange. He was very thorough in his diagnosis, checking carefully every possibility and reporting back to me what he found. It was an expensive repair ($2K) but all told he was here for a day and a half of constant work. He left everything very clean and tidy when he was done. I've never had a service provider be so tidy. He was very nice and friendly to have around and didn't mind at all my dog (who took a shine to him). Though I can't speak to cost - whether this was on the high or middle end of pricing - I do feel very comfortable that Matt did an excellent job and was worth every penny. Calling Heritage is always an easy process and they are good about confirming appts, etc.

Heritage responded to my distress call on a Saturday night. Our water heater alarm was set off when the water heater pan filled up. The tank must have begun leaking within the prior hour or so based upon the rate of water I observed leaking out. The plumber called us couple of times. The first was to let us know that he would be at our house within an hour. The second time to let us know he expected to be at our house in about 15 minutes. After he determined what the specific issue was he gave me our options, including prices, and told me he hoped to be able to replace the water heater later that day (it was actually after midnight by this time). I gave him the go ahead and he arrived mid-morning Sunday with the replacement water heater. It took him most of the day to install and test the new water heater. This was obviously very important to my wife and I, but not as important as what he did while he was performing this service. When the plumber returned Sunday morning he noticed a certain odor in the basement. No it wasn't a dead body! Apparently we had a gas leak. He used his portable gas meter reader to trace the leak to our gas meter that was also inside the basement, in a separate closet. My wife had mentioned (once) about a week or so ago that she thought she smelled gas. I walked around the house and basement but didn't smell anything. The plumber showed me exactly where his gas meter was indicating a leak. It was then that my wife and I remembered that the gas company replaced the meter about 12 days prior to the water heater leak. We called the gas company and within an hour or so they sent the same technician that installed the meter to examine the leak. He determined that one of the O rings had failed (cracked). Sound familiar? This O ring was one of three new O rings that he replaced upon installing the new meter. Thanks to Heritage's plumber his action helped to avoid a potentially serious incident. We are very thankful that Richard Carmichael answered our service request! This was also the weekend when the temperatures approached 100 degrees both days of the weekend, making it essential that we have our water heater replaced as soon as possible. Richard was friendly, polite, and cleaned up the area he worked around. Other than the hot water you would never know that he spent half of the weekend in our basement. Thank you Richard. We started having issues with our water heater producing hot water on and off for a few days. Called Heritage and they were able to get a guy out to us the next day. When Matt showed up, he was able to determine that our pressure sensor was faulty. Since it was the weekend and most stores were closed he wasn’t able to order the part until Monday. He picked up the part on Tuesday and replaced it only to find out that the water heater was still having issues firing up. After some more diagnostics it was determined that the vent line was the issue. The line was way too long and needed to be shortened. Matt was able to reroute the line to shorten the distance and now it’s firing up like a champ! Very satisfied with the professionalism with Matt and Heritage! I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely be calling them when it’s time to install a tankless water heater!

I had an emergency request as my kitchen faucet would not stop running - not just a drip but a constant stream. I called in the morning & was told they would call me back with a time. A short time later, the called and said someone would be here early afternoon. Around 12:30 pm I received a call saying they were 20-30 minutes away. At approx the 25 minute mark, I received another call stating the technician was stuck in traffic & it would be a bit longer. He arrived at approx. 1:30. He looked at the faucet, checked the valves underneath the sink & asked me to show him where the main was. Andy then proceeded to give me my quote with several options. I told him what I wanted him to do & he then proceeded with the repairs. He was done shortly after 3 pm. He explained everything he was going to do and even showed me the faulty parts he replaced. Original Review: I used Heritage living in New Hampshire and now in Massachusetts. I've used their plumbing, heating and electrical services and always had professional, competent service. The technicians seem to really care about their work and if for any reason, I had a problem (very rare) or question on the work done, the follow-up response was quick. The Office personnel are helpful and efficient in either scheduling appointments or contacting the technicians, if needed. I trust that the work Heritage does is done correctly and I know they will stand behind their work. I highly recommend their services.

There are cheaper options but for peace of mind we choose Heritage for our plumbing and HVAC needs; haven't needed them for electrical as my brother in law is an electrician. It can be hard to schedule them especially for routine maintenance because they're in demand but generally not a big issue.

I had an emergency request as my kitchen faucet would not stop running - not just a drip but a constant stream. I called in the morning & was told they would call me back with a time. A short time later, the called and said someone would be here early afternoon. Around 12:30 pm I received a call saying they were 20-30 minutes away. At approx the 25 minute mark, I received another call stating the technician was stuck in traffic & it would be a bit longer. He arrived at approx. 1:30. He looked at the faucet, checked the valves underneath the sink & asked me to show him where the main was. Andy then proceeded to give me my quote with several options. I told him what I wanted him to do & he then proceeded with the repairs. He was done shortly after 3 pm. He explained everything he was going to do and even showed me the faulty parts he replaced. Nice guy! Answered all my questions.

They even went the extra mile to patch the old socket space with a perfectly cut piece of drywall from the new socket location they installed- spackled and good as new. Update: I just had the plumbing/fixtures replaced throughout my home. The lead person, Matt, came and did an extensive review of the work I was requesting and provided a quote that same day. During the scheduled installation, he and his assistant, Bobby, were professional, competent and extremely hard working. They made sure everything was working to their and my satisfaction. I couldn't have had a better experience! Heritage is not the least expensive company around, but when I've used them, I've always had competent service personnel, an office organization in place to contact for service, follow-up questions or other issues (if needed) and have experienced an attitude from everyone I've dealt with that their goal really is to provide good service and please their customers --- to me, that is worth paying for. Original Review: I used Heritage living in New Hampshire and now in Massachusetts. I've used their plumbing, heating and electrical services and always had professional, competent service. The technicians seem to really care about their work and if for any reason, I had a problem (very rare) or question on the work done, the follow-up response was quick. The Office personnel are helpful and efficient in either scheduling appointments or contacting the technicians, if needed. I trust that the work Heritage does is done correctly and I know they will stand behind their work. I highly recommend their services.

We turned to Heritage after we found it impossible to get ANY independent plumber to call us back for urgent plumbing and heating issues, let alone take us on as customers. We recently used them for an emergency Sunday evening repair to our boiler, and they gave us a courtesy call a half hour before, and fixed the problem quickly and relatively inexpensively for the time and day they came out. I was impressed with their responsiveness, so when we were having some issues with our tub drain and faucet, I decided to call Heritage again. Sam came out and performed the work - he was wonderful - polite, informative, and made sure we agreed with his recommendations before starting work. He made sure to walk us through what he did after the work was performed to make sure it was what was on the work order. Heritage may not be the cheapest company around, but we're very satisfied with the work we've had done, and look forward to using them for future projects.

Was Fortunet enough to call Heritage Plumbing Today, for the first time ever after central AC just Stopped working Completely. Hoping for help ASAP , but never expected to get a call from Bernie the service Tech not 1 hour after I first called . Though they were able to give me a same day appointment with a 3 hourvwindow, which was nicely surpring as was, then asked if someone could come sooner would I want that? Absolutely I said it was soo hot out today. Anyway with no idea of what the problem was , with this 15 yr old Central AC that I knew hadn't been serviced in 2 years. I didn't expect too much, but OMG Bernie worked his heart out today, He kept me filled in thru the whole Process and there were many issues to deal with. Such as No Power to the unit at all. Bernie was Actually Able To fix this Neglected Dinasor !!! I used to be able to fix dripping faucets myself cheaply. Now due to the complexity of faucets, replacing them is expensive, but saves the troubles and growing expense of repairing the old one even if it was only 5-7 years old.The Heritage plumber was very informative discussing our situation of replacing the faucet rather than fixing the old one. We are happy with that decision. The other issues that can accrue, so be ready to assist the plumber, happened with us. The cold water pipe broke off when attempting to shutoff the water at the bathroom sink. So, I had to run down stairs to shut off water to the house while the plumber prevented much water leakage. Had to remove 2 tiles to fix the shutoff valve, but the hole is inside our vanity and does not show. The finished ceiling in the basement is stained and will have to be painted, but that is the trouble that can occur with older plumbing.

We turned to Heritage after we found it impossible to get ANY independent plumber to call us back for urgent plumbing and heating issues, let alone take us on as customers. We recently used them for an emergency Sunday evening repair to our boiler, and they gave us a courtesy call a half hour before, and fixed the problem quickly and relatively inexpensively for the time and day they came out. I was impressed with their responsiveness, so when we were having some issues with our tub drain and faucet, I decided to call Heritage again. Sam came out and performed the work - he was wonderful - polite, informative, and made sure we agreed with his recommendations before starting work. He made sure to walk us through what he did after the work was performed to make sure it was what was on the work order. Heritage may not be the cheapest company around, but we're very satisfied with the work we've had done, and look forward to using them for future projects.

Great tech arrives on time and knows what he is doing, does a great job. Now the bad part installed 10 gallons Of antifreeze to boiler at a cost of 850.00 dollars witch Lowe's sells the exact same thing for 140.00. Moto is, Know your prices before dealing with these people . My lesson cost me 710.00 dollars for 1 1/2 hours of labor.

I used to be able to fix dripping faucets myself cheaply. Now due to the complexity of faucets, replacing them is expensive, but saves the troubles and growing expense of repairing the old one even if it was only 5-7 years old.The Heritage plumber was very informative discussing our situation of replacing the faucet rather than fixing the old one. We are happy with that decision. The other issues that can accrue, so be ready to assist the plumber, happened with us. The cold water pipe broke off when attempting to shutoff the water at the bathroom sink. So, I had to run down stairs to shut off water to the house while the plumber prevented much water leakage. Had to remove 2 tiles to fix the shutoff valve, but the hole is inside our vanity and does not show. The finished ceiling in the basement is stained and will have to be painted, but that is the trouble that can occur with older plumbing.

He showed me the problem he found and explained what he needed to do to fix it. He had it fixed in much less time than he estimated, cleaned up his work area and offered some great advice about things I could do to avoid having the same problem in the future. Nick drove an hour out of his way to come look at my system that night ( arrived around 9pm) he quickly diagnosed the problem to be one of two things, but was able to get the system up and running again.
