Cornerstone had availability for next day service when I called. They have a unique approach to bidding which saves lots of calls and the hassle of collecting multiple bids. I would’ve usually taken a week collecting bids and pining over who to hire. They charge roughly a $50 trip fee to take a look at the job and bid the work. The trip fee gets applied to the bid price if you accept the bid. They use standardized pricing from a price book which made me feel like all of their customers are getting the same price for the same work. I suppose that’s a little flawed since all houses are not created equal but it’s comforting none the less. I found the prices fair for both parties.

Cornerstone Electrical Services is a terrific company. I am not from Haverhill and needed an electrician to look at a condo that we own there. I didn't know who to call. I found them on Google and I couldn't be happier with their service. Their office staff is wonderful and professional - they update and remind you about the appointment you schedule. I had a tiny job - an outlet needed to be repaired - I didn't think I could anyone to come for such a small job. Well, I was wrong. Stacey in their office scheduled the appointment and gave me a time frame. Unfortunately the electrician got held up for an emergency at the previous appointment and we had to reschedule. The appointment was reschedule today and because they had to cancel last week, they didn't charge me the service fee. Wow, how nice is that? Mark came and couldn't have been nicer or more professional. He diagnosed and fixed the problem and I couldn't be more grateful to him and his company for the amazing service. They are such nice people and wonderful to do business with. I highly recommend them!

I usually do my own electric when it is something simple but this time I could not figure it out. For the last five years, there were two GFCI plugs in the garage that have not worked. Since we are selling the house, I finally had to deal with it. It turns out a GFCI receptacle in the half bath was feeding an outside plug on the deck which was feeding the two receptacles in the garage. The bathroom receptacle seemed to work but was not feeding properly. I am the original owner of this house and never in my wildest dreams would I have thought things would have been wired this way! Anyway, as I said, I try to avoid calling an electrician because it is hit-or-miss whether you will get a call back. In fact, this time I did call my usual guy and it was two days later before I even heard from him! I knew of Cornerstone from a good friend at church but did not know they did residential work. Well it turns out they do and, if you give them a call, you will be greeted by a real-live-knowledgeable-person who will actually treat you like a customer and book you an appointment immediately! I called on a Friday and got an appointment for the next Monday first thing in the morning. If this wasn't mind-blowing enough, the electrician actually showed up and on time! Everything about this electrician was pure professionalism! From his attire, his vehicle and tools, and trouble-shooting skills, this guy was a class act. Not only that, he also treated me like a customer just like the person I connected with at the office! The problem was identified and solved in short order. I would not hesitate to recommend Cornerstone to anyone who needs work done, they are a real quality operation! Thank you Cornerstone!

Hold onto your wallet when you call these folks. I made an appointment for three electrical issues at my home. This was scheduled a week away and they called back several days later to ask if I could change the time, which I agreed to do. I ended up waiting the whole day because they said a computer glitch changed their scheduled time. Right. When they finally arrived they charged me $211.00 for an assessment and one hour of time to fix the problems. When I scheduled the appt. I told Melissa, the scheduler that a doorbell button had to be replaced and to make sure they brought one with them. She said she would take care of it. They did not have the button when they arrived. To make a longer story short, she took no accountability for the error and said that if they come back to do the doorbell it would be another $134.00 plus parts. So, I got one of the three jobs done, they were unsuccessful with the second job, for $211. That was replacing one 3 way switch. I will not use them again and would not recommend them, as they are outrageously expensive and lack managerial accountability.
