I've hired Brite Lite twice, and tried to hire them a third time. First job: they did the electrical inspection for our home. Matt was very friendly, and timely. While no inspection can catch 100% of the problems, subsequent contractors have pointed out several electrical concerns that were missed in this inspection. Most notably, several junction boxes in the basement without covers (just live wires taped or nutted together in an open box), an outlet in a wet area that wasn't GFI (where it is required), and an old light fixture (still getting power) that was pushed above the basement ceiling panels.
Second job: they installed recessed LED lights. The lights look great and work well, but they miscalculated where to drill and put two extra 4"-diameter holes in my wall and ceiling; these aren't the holes used to fish the wires through. I repaired these holes, as agreed upon prior to their work. Not the end of the world, but small pilot holes (to detect the ceiling studs) should have been drilled first. Crew was friendly and performed the work on time.
Lastly, I tried to hire Brite Lite to do another series of jobs, by filling out the service-request form on their website. Despite repeated emails back and forth with Matt, and promises of "I'll send the crew by", it hasn't happened. It's been almost two months! I'm not sure what has changed since we first hired them. I did not expect to be given the run-around this last time. If you don't want a job--just say so, so I can hire someone else. If you're crazy busy and can't do it until some other time.....just say so.
Bottom line: I expect to be treated the way that I treat folks, with courtesy and professionalism.
