Bill Trombley used to be terrifically . Always on the expensive side but good work. Just hired them to add a zone for a new room and it has been disastrous. Tech used my bar stool for a ladder, damaged my rug, when the system kicks on sounds like a jet engine... I could go on. My neighbor used Leblanc and loves them. Time to change!

I wish I could give six stars. Bill Trombly and his entire team have been amazing through my two instances of frozen pipes. For this last issue, Brian & Brenden totally saved the day. Luckily they were able to thaw out the pipes and avoid any damage. Throughout the time they were here, they were super polite and helped to calm me down. Whatever they did to try and fix it was short lived. My husband left two messages for the owner to call, he never called back. We were not happy with their service. Our tankless water heater stopped working on Wednesday. We called Bill Trombly’s on Thursday morning. A repair person was at our house by noontime that same day. Unfortunately, the heater which was probably 30 - 35 years old could not be repaired. Trombly’s had an estimator at our house that same afternoon and we reached an agreement on a replacement heater that was to be installed that Friday! By Friday noon, three of the nicest, extremely knowledgeable young men - Brian, John and Brendan - showed up with everything necessary to replace the heater. These guys knew exactly what needed to be done, did it and left us smiling with tons of hot water! So very grateful for the extra mile it seemed that each of the Trombly folks went to get us back in business. Thank you!

We have been using Bill Trombly for several years now. We first used them to service our Kohler generator and from there we began using them for our furnace needs. Their technicians have always been courteous and knowledgeable. Today we had John for our furnace and he was also able to look at some plumbing issues for us at the same time and give us some quotes. Shorted out our thermostat due to static electricity late last Friday afternoon and could no longer control the furnace. Called and spoke with someone in the office who said the on call technician was on a call but would be dispatched to help after. About an hour later, Alex called and said he was 20 minutes away and on route. He quickly confirmed the thermostat had failed, installed a new one and fixed the problem. Scheduled a service call on equipment they installed two years ago. Call was scheduled for between 1 and 4 PM and we told them we would be home. They called at 12:30 and 12:45 to see if we were there, when we called back at 1 to say we were home they said since we did not answer that they had cancelled the call and would have to reschedule in 10 days. This is for a no heat issue and totally unacceptable. Will never use this company again.

I was a value rate member for two years. I was happy with their service after having replaced my water boiler. However, when I had a problem with one of the AC units for my split system, they could not fix it (the remote control does not work and since it's about 10 feet off the ground this means I cannot use it without a ladder). They charged me for the work even though they did not fix it and said continuing to troubleshoot would cost more money and they could not say if after spending more money it would be fixed, so I said forget it. Edit: Thank you for the response, I didn't include the most recent example that led to me writing this review. I would be happy to discuss it more however your admin would not let me speak to anyone other than her to clear up the issue over the phone. Edit 2: To provide full transparency here is the summary of the latest issue: After having given up on the remote control issue that went unfixed in 2018, I had another issue beggining this year where one of my units that pushes cold air to 3 indoor heads was not pushing any cold air, it was just room temperature air. I looked to get this remedied and also discussed the remote issue with the tech. After servicing the unit they said that the cold air issue was fixed and they would need to call tech support for the remote issue. However when I went to use the AC the cold air was still not pushing and the tech had forgotten to turn back on the second unit. When he came back to turn on the second unit I told him that the first unit is still not pushing cold air even though he said it was working when he left. He said ok we will need to call support on this as well. After they called support I got a quote to fix the remote control issue but no quote for fixing the cold air issue. The admin told me I was wrong and tried to explain the issue to me, and i said their understanding of the issue is wrong, i want to fix the cold air more than i want to fix the remote. She would not let me speak to the service rep (who was there in the office with her) to clarify their understanding of the issue. Instead she said I would have to schedule another appointment 1 week out.

Only reason I agreed to purchase and install a mini split system by Bill Trombly is that I was told by salesman I would receive a $750.00 rebate. Contract was signed in May. They did not complete work until end of June because they were short on staff. By the time rebate forms were submitted which was promptly the next day after the install the funding had run out. Trombly should insure funding is available before the install giving the customer an option to cancel and they did not. Due to the very high cost of hiring Bill Trombly (charges TOP DOLLAR) it was necessary that I receive my rebate. Their lack of getting the job done promptly cost me $750.00. Also had a credit of 160.00 which was VERY difficult to get back. They wanted me to leave it on credit for future to cover service fees. I should not be required to pay in advance for service calls. After several calls to Bill Trombly I was finally able to get them to refund my $160.00 credit but it did not happen without argument. It was at that time I was also told if I did not hire them at a cost of 99.00 per year for the next five years to service (clean the filter) that they would not warranty the unit. Correction, first year service is free and then 99.00 for the following 4 years. This was not told to me at any time during signing of contract. It was only after I tried to get the overcharge credit refunded that I was told they would not warranty unless I agreed to pay them for future service calls to clean the unit adding another 400.00 to the cost of the unit. This company is raping the customer in every way. Very high charges, salesman will tell you what ever he has to to get the sale, forced to pay additional fees for service fees in advance or they WILL NOT WARRANTY! I feel it is the salesman responsibility to inform customer at time of signing that they are required to pay future service fees or NO WARRANTY and also to insure that there is funding available for rebates when he is telling his customers that they WILL RECEIVE A REBATE. Salesman NEVER mentioned rebate is only good as long as funding is available. Had he mentioned this I could of checked on the funding before I agreed to the terms. Total cost including service fees is over $6000.00. Bill Trombly would not issue or refund any credit as customer courtesy for their lack to get the job done promptly which if they had I would of received my rebate as funding ran out end of June. Attitude from Trombly was, to bad, so sad. This company can afford costly TV commercials but they have terrible customer service and they charge top dollar for everything! I thought dealing with a so called reputable company was a good thing but quickly learned that this company is not reputable at all. BUYER BEWARE, if dealing with Bill Trombly cover your bases and verify for yourself everything the salesman tells you because there is a good chance it is FALSE and only a tactic used to get you to sign the contract. Once they have your money they do not care about you anymore and in fact will only find ways to get MORE MONEY out of you or they will not warranty your unit. TERRIBLE!

I had a new boiler and fuel oil tank installed in Oct 2018. Brian was the lead technician. I found him to be knowledgeable and courteous during the three day project. During the initial shake down of the new system Brian came back twice: once to replace a defective manufacturer part and then an adjustment to the air flow. In both instances, I found him to be knowledgeable with correcting the problem and reliable with the work that he did.

IS THERE A BILL TROMBLY??? I am trying to contact Bill Trombly. An office manager, Cheryl, just hung up on me and told me that I did not want to renew our value rate customer program, which I do. We had our system installed last year by YOU, Bill Trombly plumbing and heating. It's been giving us some problems that should NOT be on a new system. We were charged for a service call and the technician did not find any problem with the unit. We went for a MONTH without heat, on and off. She, the office manager, Cheryl, told me that there was NOTHING that could be done if the unit was throwing heat. We were charged $100.00 and nothing was done. When the time came for the service call for the "value rate" customer service plan, that I insisted we do sooner rather than later as we still had intermittent heat, we went every weekend and certain days with no heat. Of course the coldest days we didn't have heat. The technician came to do the service call and found a fault in the valve that calls for the heat. It would default to hot water and stick when it was supposed to give heat. The technician ordered the part from laars and installed it yesterday. When asked about purchasing the "value rate" customer service plan, I asked if we could apply the $100 that we paid for nothing, as on the first call the technician did nothing, toward our "value rate" customer service plan. She, Cheryl, said NO. I asked why and she said because when the technician went to our home, there was nothing wrong with the unit. I said YES, there was something wrong with the unit, he just didn't want to find it. I asked to speak with Bill Trombly, please. She said NO. That Mr. Trombly gave HER all the authority to deal with this situation and that she determined that I do NOT want to renew my "value rate" customer service program. I said I DID want to renew. She said NO I do NOT want to renew because I insisted on speaking with Bill Trombly and she hung up on me. Is there a BILL TROMBLY? OR is it just a hat that is being sold? Worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. Spent $30k on a new Trane heating system that worked for a year. Caught installers getting high in their truck while on my property. When it came time to fix the new system the office magically could not find my warranty information. Two different technicians have been out 5 times, and come up with conflicting answers each time. Have not had a working system since December and it is now April and problem is still not solved. Do NOT do business with them. Next step is court.

We had a full heating and ac system installed in our home in Oct ‘17, the system is large and during the whole, long, process everyone was very professional and efficient. Paul G was and continues to be phenomenal and answers any lingering questions we may have. We did have to have a service tech come out, and Dave was the tech that came to check the system out, and he also was very professional and really took the time to go over the system and answer any and all questions we had.

If you are looking for a mini split system, look no further. Bill Trombly has assembled one of the best HVAC teams in New England. Every member deserves high marks. Starting with Cheryl, like Bill, she wears many hats and gets the ball rolling. She dispatched Carl, a comfort advisor, to our residence. Prior to his arrival, I had spent hours researching mini-splits and had a long list of questions to ask. Upon entering our home he donned booties over his shoes. Matter a fact the entire team wore booties and were very respectful in keeping our home as clean as possible during the three day installation. Carl not only answered every question but listened attentively to every question. He came up with the best fit solution for our home. It was a four zone, 36 thousand BTU Daikin system. Not only is Carl knowledgeable, but he is not afraid to get his hands dirty. He climbed into our two attics and made suggestions, taking photos along the way. All of his efforts paid off for the installation team. Brian, heading up the team with Brendan and Nick, showed up promptly and spent the better part of three days installing this complex system. Brian's work ethics are outstanding! Like Carl, he answered every one of my questions along the way. The installation was CLEAN. NO shortcuts. He went the extra mile to do it right. John was very kind during a stressful time. He was knowledgeable and thorough with attention to neatness. Being dispatched to address my concerns without a previously scheduled appointment, John did not have sufficient time to complete the work on his first day, and was booked the following day, so he had to come after hours. He had offered to help with a couple extras, but was too tired to complete them. I made two trips to Home Depot to purchase and return items for the extras. After being assured repeatedly that certain charges would be waived as a courtesy, the bill was still a surprise. The bill may been more than expected because of my not purchasing the correct fixtures at Lowe’s, but was probably more my naïveté about labor costs than anything else. He had to come back a third time secure a shower fixture that was forgotten.

Terrific service and a great problem solver! Our tankless water heater had a recurring problem since 2004, no other service company was able to resolve it. Last year we decided to give Bill Trombly’s company a try - Shawn serviced it and took care of the issues and maintenance points that others hadn’t addressed. Because of our positive experience we called them to clean our split ductless A/C which was emitting a moldy odor. Again, another company wasn’t able to resolve the issue, but Shawn (again) did a “bag wash” procedure and we observed that it was much more thoroughly performed than previously. Shawn is polite, personable and most of all is knowledgeable and experienced – he provided us with very useful insights and explanations. We will definitely use Bill Trombly’s company for any other plumbing, heating or A/C issues we encounter in the future. Thoroughly satisfied!

Zero stars. If i could, i'd give it a negative rating. I'm a "value member" under contract for maintenance. There were no problems with my boiler until this outfit came to "maintain" it under the annual check-up. I was out of town on business, but my wife was home. The service personnel claimed they found a "safety" issue and needed to replace two parts on the unit for "safety." What else can we say, other than proceed. $600 later they leave with us hoping our trust was not misplaced. The boiler stops working with a "hard lockout" reading in two days. They return and bleed the air out of the line because the first servicemen didn't do that properly. Another two days later the boiler stops working again with another "hard lockout" reading. They return to get it working and discover a neutral wire was not connected on the items they swapped out for "safety." I asked if the old unit they replaced failed, and the service personnel tap danced around the answer. Unfortunately for this nice young man, I'm an attorney and know how to question a witness and know when the answer isn't on point. Reluctantly he finally admitted no, the unit did not fail, it just was on the lower end of his reading for quality. It didn't really have to be swapped out. After further questioning he admitted their was no original problem until after they changed this part, and the wire could have been a problem they created, and lastly, that lose wire may have been what gave them a reading interpreted as a part going bad. So we spent $600, and time without heat/hot water, because of a loose neutral wire they didn't find during their annual "maintenance." I was not going to provide a bad review if they made it right, and i excepted they would because of the last part of the incident: the service personnel stated he would speak personally to Bill Trombly (and was in fact related) and would relay my concerns that he acknowledged were reasonable based on "how things look." He assured me i would get a call to discuss it the next day. As it turns out he probably said that to assuage my anger and may not have admitted any problem to the home office. It has been several days now, and nobody has called to discuss the poor "maintenance" I've experienced being a "value member." Makes me inclined to shop for other outfits that won't take me for granted. That's the real complaint because the service issues they could have fixed through a refund for the unnecessary part, however bad service is not refundable. The young service kid probably just "did what he was trained to do" as he claimed and may not have intentionally taken advantage of my wife, but assuming that benefit of the doubt goes to the kid, he is then poorly trained by this outfit that has the standard practice of taking the easy route replacing parts when proper servicing by experienced personnel would save the customer money and trouble. Time to shop for a better crew.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT use this company. Technicians have limited knowledge of what they are doing. Company charges an exorbitant amount of money. Keeps up charging you along the way. They try to suck you into a "prepaid" contract where you are constantly paying for service for the following year. Then when the work is done improperly and the problem still exist (as I unfortunately found out the hard way) the gladly come out to deal with as long as you pay them again for not doing their job correctly the first time. Believe move on and find another company before you regret as I a have.

11/10/18 - We had Nicholas S. come by our rental condo unit in Manchester and install two new ceiling fans, replacing older ones we had installed almost 10 years ago. Nick arrived promptly on-time, was very personable and explained step-by-step the removal and installation process showing me the things I need to maintain with the units. His work was excellent. He was very clean and even took off his boots to keep my carpets clean, such a gentleman - even his latter had socks on the bottom to prevent marking on my floors. I am very happy with the service, these days it is hard to get anyone in to do small electrical jobs but Trombly was there for me and worked with my schedule so I could get all my items taken care of on one day. They are out "go-to" maintenance company for our rentals and our own home as well. I highly recommend them for their service and have found their pricing to be fair and honest. Got service today, my wife set up a water heater to be replaced and got taken advantage of like Bill Cosby levels.... Informed the tech we are selling our home and need 2 things, a pump serviced and a water heater replaced. Pump was 200 cool great! She informed the tech we wanted nothing more than what was needed because we are leaving in 2 months. We get a mid to high end tank, and extra stuff we don't need, a spill pan and a anti flood system, a new vent and it ran me 4000 dollars. Don't get me wrong the work is a professional as it can be but the tech didn't use the information my wife gave him about the house being sold, added on a bunch of extras and took advantage of her. Also left the old heater in my yard because he couldn't pick it up in his truck, promised to come back. To top it all off the tech even asked my wife about our house being built and asked if they can do the work. REALLY!!!!
